  1. You guys is funny...Thank you dieselfuture and Dripley---
  2. I started calling him that when I first programmed his phone into my contacts. Somehow Mopar Mike morphed into 'Mopies' while thinking about my visit there..... things was a little laid back, sort a like no measure of a clock nor time, living up in those mountains. But he's the fastest VP changer in the west.
  3. I have the diode Bridge from 'Mopies Auto Parts'. Thats Michael Nelson, BTW, that owns this site. Just today I ordered the alternator rebuild kit from Genos Garage. I need to get my A/C noise level to acceptable levels now that I successfully replaced my VP44. It had a damaged PCU board, (error code 1688). Next I need to fully do the W-T grounding mods that are being reported a big benefit too.
  4. Sorry Nick, I should probably better delete that part about the upholstry. That wasn't nice.
  5. This site sells the heavy duty diode bridge replacement for the Denso alternator. Just click the store at the top of the forum page.
  6. Months are moving fast... Congrats will be in order very soon, but watch out for those Mexican anal ticks.... I hear they hide in the upholstrey.
  7. Excellent write up. Thank you
  8. No permit required for a privacy fence either
  9. Nice! Those are sunflowers, right ?
  10. I didn't mean for this thread to get side tracked... just want you all to know the importance of keeping the A/C ripple to low levels. I dropped the bolt cause MoparMan is like lightening changing a Vp… I thought I was out of his way, but I can't move the speed of light. 186,000 miles per second. GSP7, keep talking, I might just do it with some help my first time like Dripley. I'm afraid of loosing the half moon key when removing and replacing is all. If I did get it I will still go out to visit Mopar since I like to travel and hit the road. A mile down the road from Mopar is a resort on the river. So I can be fishing while Mike works on my truck.
  11. Was thinking about flat deck trailering it to MoparMan since the air conditioning also needs work. Not sure what to do until I get the VP from Pacific Fuel injection and do W-Ts' ground mods. I'm real gun shy on changing a VP. Things I do everyday I'm good at. Just not this.
  12. Drove home yesterday and got stranded with a 1688 error code. I even knew that my AC noise level was too high, but kept putting it off. MoparMan suspects that's what killed the communication between the ECM and the injection pump (1688) since I religiously use 2 stroke oil and keep fuel pressure above 14. Can't say for sure, but I might not be buying a new rebuilt VP44 if I took the time to do this important electrical upgrade. What makes even it worse is new diode bridge that sat on my work bench for months while I rested weekends from work. All I got to say is don't be lazy and take care of your truck.
  13. How does anyone find out about something so hush hush? That they actually bury the equipment/ tools so they don't have to carry them out?? That's like having to trust criminals to protect our forests and our homes. Why can't we turn them in?
  14. I see you using the letters ''FR'' quite often..…... does that mean you are calling them 'something Rats' ?
  15. Are you also saying the more work they have fighting fires the more money they get?
  16. Mike couldn't you just go up and cut behind your house? its natnl forest right? You could build a ramp to go up and on the garage roof. The speed from the hill behind would shoot them rounds right out front of the garage. Yes... I'm being silly but nice thought anyhow.
  17. Thank you all for the direction. I will check the vac lines on the cruise control and hvac items as well. Funny..... I used to know this too, but forgot. Time passes and so does memory.
  18. Mike, if Pureflow won't take care of you there is always Eric at Vulcan, he can help. Oh yeah...... if you have time post up some pics of the repair
  19. My 02 (95,000 miler) is very slow to engage after pushing the set button. My 01 (210,000 miles) on the other hand, clicks in right away every time. Any advice what to look for is greatly appreciated.
  20. At least now we know you can focus not having your eye balls bouncing around by KYB . lol Sorry... couldn't resist
  21. It is grounded already to the firewall as well as the passenger battery. Comes from the factory that way On both my second Gens I upgraded the size ground wire from PCM to firewall. Next is to do all mods above and others written up by W-T.
  22. Send Driply over there in the big chicken costume... he'll straighten him out. Note the size of that beak!
  23. I hope you keep us posted MnTom. Just want to say that it would be difficult for me to sell my current RV. I've fixed so many things and added so many upgrades that I would hate to go thru all that again. I saw the warranty workmanship one time and said no more for me and went with my own warranty. I fixed failing structure twice besides leaks. Taking everything apart you could readily see the piece rate workmanship symptoms in the really crappy hurried work from the factory.
  24. I hope it comes out really well and they do the right thing..... not find an issue a short while after the warranty is up.
