Roof Issues Anyone?????
Need to send her down to meet with the warranty guy. When gets down to it this water damaged rv is now used and depreciated. Thats because of the major difficulty in floor repairs running under the outside walls. Insulation in wall /floor cavities also tends to not dry out Acts like an enclosed sponge and causes further rot to the inner/ outer skin and frame. That OSB board and any particle board turns into oatmeal in a hurry with moisture.

Apps going bad? No codes
Its called 'Chicken Syndrome'. Don't worry you don't have that. I'm thinking bad/clogged tank vent. Try running with a loose fuel cap. Just a guess.

Roof Issues Anyone?????
Tom, I'm sorry this happened to you and the wife, but I want you to get a new unit. Repairs of this magnitude render it almost worthless if the flooring is damaged enough. Their insurance should be contacted for an adjuster to come out (both insurance companies involved) and decide on the work having been done wrong by both the repair shop and the manufacturer. Those two insurance companies can hash it out, but should let you pick one of equal value off the lot soon. Don't accept this damaged unit any longer. OK?

Roof Issues Anyone?????
That trailer/ camper is now a lemon since the damaged flooring goes underneath the outside walls. That's the way they all built and makes it almost impossible to rebuild or fix. I'd be looking for my money refunded and stay away from FR products.

Ready to do a fuel system
It works is all I can say.... Had some difficult prime time going on and the blow side of the shop vac down the tank throat worked. The rag can help seal the air into the tank.

Ready to do a fuel system
I've been able to prime my fuel system using a shop vac blowing down inside the fill neck. It doesn't take very long. Just about a 3 second blast of air down the tank. May need to do it a couple times and using a clean rag to filter the air a little bit helps.

Bosch VP44 injection pump removal the fast way!
I really like the step by step presentation. Nothing like simplifying to help eliminate the fear. I'm still afraid of dropping the keyway inside the gear case..... does it fit tight or does it easily pull or fall right out if not careful? The way I get it is you just cannot bump the key when removing or replacing, so when placing the new VP how do you hold onto the VP and look in front, while your hands arms tend to wiggle to see if lined up?

Roof Issues Anyone?????
That's what I mean with lack of caring for your trailer like that, why would you want those people to repair it? I would ask for what it cost them to do the work to be put in your pocket and put that toward a sheet aluminum roof. I would do it myself because I also have experienced the lack of real service and frustration it causes. Years ago I told them I did not want their crummy work and will warranty it myself. My attorney went to bat for me and got an amount returned to me to take care of the issues I was having. It was a fair amount to cover my labor and expenses. Try to get pictures of it uncovered in the rain and some after it is soaked. That would be perfect for negotiating for a new RV, but I wouldn't get one that has that shop do the work. The RV industry is so far down there.... you have to watch out for yourself.

Welcome back Stranger! I remember you. Did you get side tracked over a blonde?

Roof Issues Anyone?????
I would entertain the option of getting the repair cost added to my pocket and put that toward an aluminum sheet roof. May not be realistic idea though

Remaned ECM took out vp44?
Did you get a chance to look at W-Ts articles on the grounding issues? Basically it shows the factories grounding blunders in the harness.

Bouncing Around
I jumped on the KYB MonoMax since I heard a few companies with big name brands were having their products made elsewhere or were cutting back on how it used to be made. Kinda running more on the name than the old quality.

Roof Issues Anyone?????
I thank you for sharing your experience. I heard the newer RVs are worse on workmanship/ quality. Wafer board is so rot prone and won't hold adhesives well. At another place I work we are framing up a tiny house. I'm in charge of the project and now can't blame folks for wanting to build their own rv since I see that may be the direction things go. I would have to take a different position on this and think about getting my money back and build my own camp trailer, Or find a real good older one. Once when younger I was crawling under some older used RVs and found one with standing seam metal clad on the bottom. It was terrific.

Bouncing Around
Do you have air bags on it? Sometimes over inflating them causes the bounce like there are no shocks at all, so I had to ask. Those Ranchos are warranteed and really should do the job of dampening the effects of the road. I also know that the adjustables get clogged up to where you can't adjust them anyway so I stayed with a non adjustable for hauling the camper, but went with the Japanese KYB MonoMax shocks. They are stiff so are better suited for loads, but not aggressive.

What an evening
I poured about a fourth of the bottle in there each treatment, that's just a guess since It may have been a half gallon bottle. What happened was I bought what I thought was good juice, but saw the ingredients had citric acid which my dentist tells me to avoid, so I tried dumping it it in the black tank and see if it made any difference. I was amazed how well it worked till the tank was emptied a week later, without any other treatment in there.

What an evening
Speaking of which...... I found out cranberry juice works better than RV toilet tank deordorant. It works so much better I was astonished when I had to dump twice the amount of RV black tank treatment needed to get the same results as cranberry juice when I ran out. The cranberry juice was a cheap brand with citric acid as one of the ingredients. Just so you know.... Its better for the septic an drainfield too.

Remaned ECM took out vp44?
Bap, start checking the ECM harness connection and the VP connection. Look at all the pins/ connection points closely, that all look the same nothing distorted. Make sure clicked all the way in. Check for clean electrical connections on battery posts, everywhere you can.
