Lets talk backhoe's
I stopped renting compact tractors when I found out how much work a larger Back hoe could do. I once rented a new JD 4X4 extend a hoe. Made a compact tractor feel like a toy. Don't remember the size but it was big and really got things done by comparison. Next I started renting Trac Hoes because of the reach and the power, I have stayed with those in most years since. I like renting the equipment. For me its a lot better, esp. after seeing enough of the things that can go wrong. You didn't say how many hours are on it. At any rate the price is too high and I'm glad your looking well into it. I would look for one in Oregon or out of the Midwest.

Purpose of lockup switch
Newbie questions are good around here. Lockup switch is used for 3rd and 4th gears. Helps slowing on curves with engine braking. It will shift from 3rd to forth while locked up okay but won't go from 4th to 3rd till you unlock it and shut off overdrive switch. I really like mine since IBMobile set up mine with a relay that automatically unlocks when you hit the brakes. That is with one switch on the shift lever. The other switch on the floor will leave it locked while using the brakes for mountain curves.

I think he might do it for a hobby.... notice how small of pieces! I know one thing, here in Oregon we got to leave bigger chunks, not like that kindling Then again he might be splitin' for grocery store firewood.... 6 pieces for 20 bucks.

Anyone have Raptor Regulator problems?
I appreciate any thoughts. I do think its the regulator. Been studying them a little and see how colder thicker fuel would cause the valve to be closed more than warm fuel. When warm, the regulator valve is allowed to open more and pressure works its way up to around 20, which takes over an hour of driving. The other problem is when warm enough to get psi around 20, it is allowing pressure to drop 5-6 psi on wot, which is out of range for a new set up with everything being half inch on a VP Motor. This might indicate needing a not so soft of a spring to help it open the valve more on wot demands. I'm pretty sure the regulators are a newer version in these latest Raptor pumps, different from my old AD 100 on my other truck I think I heard Mike Nelson say something about that too...... that the older ball and spring being better than the new version.

Anyone have Raptor Regulator problems?
I knew that problem and took them out during the install. Just blew air into the lines back toward the tank. Reprimed it and now runs bouncing around 14. Up just 2 psi, I think it's the regulator and might be the newer version non ball and spring type. Want you all to know that the regulator has been put on 19psi two previous times and it's only 10,000 miles and 9 months old now. Last adjustment was done last week. Oh and I bleed the mechanical gauge just to be sure We are 40 and 45 degrees today. last week was colder at an average of about 30 degrees. So gelling is not a problem. Just got back from a 2 hour run and FP is at 21 idle (takes an hour or so to work its way up) but drops 5-6, way too much for 1/2'' lines. Other truck has older AD100 and does real good. Always on 19 with only a 3-4 drop in pressure

Anyone have Raptor Regulator problems?
I can't get fuel pressure to go above 11-12 till an hours worth of driving. I have all 1/2'' lines and tested everything else I can think of. Even tried two brand new AD 150's and bypassed the filter, still the same low pressure till warmed up for an hour or so. And the thing that's strange is you cannot find any problems with Raptor pumps on any google search beyond 2013. It's like they hired someone to keep all searching clean of problems before that year It makin me nuts I have not alternative except to turn up the regulator another 1/2 turn

Airdog df100 pressure adjustment
They seem to understand what its like for us hard working truckers. Smaller truckers, that is anyway.

Airdog df100 pressure adjustment
Having F/P problems with one of my 2nd gens, AD and me thought there was a regulator problem with the new 150 I got from Vulcan. They sent me another 150 with the agreement that I would send the other back to them. They wanted it for testing to see what went wrong. When I found out my problem was (still is) air building up over the top of the prefilter playing havoc with the gauge. I then called AD asking them if I can pay for the extra new 150 they sent me and not send it back since my other truck's AD 100 is getting tired. They were so nice.... said if you have another truck with another AD they said just keep it for when you'll need it. They were so nice to me.

Airdog df100 pressure adjustment
Call AD They will send you a new one Dave. Make sure you have the type relay that also protects the ECM since at this point the Air Dog could place excess load on the ECM.

Airdog df100 pressure adjustment
About every 6,000 to 10,000 miles a readjustment to fuel pressure is required to keep at the long lasting VP pressure of around 19 psi. I advise to make a bracket allowing for a better mounting and access to the regulator whenever needed. Nothing like a truck set up right. You need a min. of 14 psi to keep the VP happy. Esp. on hot days accelerating uphill. It is so very important, (the min. 14 psi) otherwise you giving VP an accelerated wear. Usually not doing the short cut is harder of course, but in the long run much reward is to be had.

Power door locks
Make sure that on the day you do this that you have every ounce of patience available before starting. Don't ask me how I know and everything will be all right

Power door locks
Sounds like the switch is good. You might find its just a bad linkage part or piece in the door and can make it yourself. I did a lot of things like that on my old 92. Sometimes its just a retainer clip that holds the linkage that falls out.

Stant or Gates Thermostat, any issues
I did get the Happy Meal Toy last time....... the mechanical lift pump they used to sell, by comparison, made the new version look like a toy inside. That was for my ol'e 12 valve. I was surprised to see that.

New Issue P0230 - What should I do next?
Air Dog treats me good. They got wind of my Fuel pressure problem. Sent me another 150 just in case. I found out the problem was an air leak. So Then they said if you have an old AD 100 on your other truck you will need another one soon so just keep the other 150 for future. That's pretty nice of them guys to do that. I always talked with then easily during afternoon business hours. Never called during morning rushes.
