  1. I want the rockers done also but, with a Black Sport truck what would you guys think is a good color? I'm a little color blind...... So a dark midnight blue possibly? opinions on color is appreciated.
  2. In many instances I'm driving slower than the limit because of too many other drivers just like that. I want an electronic bumper sticker that goes like this ....... and says go ahead an tailgate
  3. X2 here. You can take time to enjoy the trip and enjoy life. Add too allowing time helps you to realize the things that you would have otherwise forgotten in town.
  4. I drive safe, never over 5 above the limit and slower in congested areas. When I go into town it's like you get these mad dog hurry up speeders behind you all the time. Makes me want a big ole honkin' smoke switch to puke them out:pant:.Some of them are the rudest people you'll ever see.... so do most you guys have smoke switches? Or do you just live with the idiots and ignor them?
  5. Have you tried pouring some 2 stoke in it to see if it mixes? I would see if that stuff dries out like varnish or if it stays like honey. See if it burns too.
  6. :ashamed:Yes however, over time with corrosion and age the grounding gets weaker and can help burn up an alternator just as easily as a bad battery cable connection. Plus my book says it helps charging more efficiently when grounded directly to the battery. I am not an elect. engineer, I can only repeat what is said in this book I have. Not about to burn the book Mike.... I did run an ohm meter from alt. casing to the engine block and found some resistance. Perhaps from the heavy powder coating on the mount bracket, I don't know:think:, but I ran the ground wire and it made me feel better anyhow:hyper:
  7. I don't know how much good it does but a book I have says there are some good reasons to ground the Alternator directly to a battery. I did this off one of the nuts holding the housing together using cable just as heavy as the main charging wire.Anyone know good any reason for that?.
  8. They can send them Fecal Burgers to Iran
  9. The table saw and two work benches, including the one that was out in the middle was just starting to get pushed thru the back wall into the front of the tractor parked in back, when I finally got my hands on the key. I learned real quick why they put Cummins in heavy equipment like a cat.
  10. If anyone ever does the jumper wire in the clutch safety switch be sure you are always sitting in the seat before you start it. That way you won't have a truck drive thru the garage and no one to stop it. Yes it happened to me . I found out almost nothing will stop a Cummins till you reach inside and turn off the key
  11. Only a guy from Idaho could find:stirthepot: this on the net ...... Just kiddin' Bud..... I think in China where there are so many people it may become necessary someday.
  12. Be careful Dave, some of them manufacturers don't seal the pipe to the roof .
  13. I've heard Johnson's Baby oil is good for all the knife valve seals during rv storage if you can pour enough in to get to them. I usually put some in for the toilet valve too.
  14. Nice truck and welcome to the forum. I would recommend a Fass lift pump over the AirDog/ Raptor. I think they are performing better is what I've heard out there.
  15. Check those connectors going to the PCM from the passenger battery. One guy said his was tight and all but it didn't make good contact. Another guy mounted his ECM away from the engine heat and his intermittant problem went away. Just some possibilities is all I have to offer:(
  16. My drawstraw would have been just perfect without problems but somebody had to be the ginea pig for the very first one ever tried . Eric still did a good job considering mine was the first prototype:tease:
  17. Toilet paper test....... Put some of the paper in a jar of water and with minimal shaking it should break down easily into small pieces. Poopoo fingers means it's too soft.:sick:Regular Scott tissue usually tests out just perfect. Been using it for ten years with no problems so far in the rv.
  18. I'm with on that one too so I became a firm believer in getting the nail gun and some tongue and groove pine.
  19. A friend of mine said you don't need Ford parts stores cause you just pull up to one on the side of the road and take what you need.

Remember to slow down a little Bob. Remember prayers travel at the speed of light so they always win the race.
  21. So where are you going to next? You cannot live without having chores around the house.
  22. It would be a good idea to get a gauge in the cab with the needle valve to stop the vp from pounding the gauge to death. Make sure you have 1/2'' fuel lines all the way to get the fuel pressure above 14 all the time. This will stop the wear out of the new vp.It's a must that you use 2 stroke oil with every fill up as the VP's weren't designed to run on this new EPA fuel. It does not have the lubricity/ oil it used to have to keep it happy. Just stock up on TCW3 2 cycle oil wherever you get a deal. I throw a quart in on every fill up at least 1 ounce with each gallon of diesel.
