Colorado has never seen no snow this late in the season and the California needs rain and snow worse than any other time in history. So instead of starting a riot over gas/ diesel engines or anything else you think is better to butter your bread with, why don't we try a little prayer once in awhile. How long's it been since you read the bible or said a little prayer for others and your family? You know prayer accomplished as a team will work wonders, it says so in the good book. We need to stop all this here disease of everyone having a solution and ask for God to help us out of the garbage America has dumped itself into. Truely we are headed for the heap and I believe God is our answer not any worldly wisdom you hear so often. It is God who's in control if we put him back in our hearsts, make Him number one again and watch things change. I believe and know for certain it is the lack of faith these days that's causing the weakened jet stream and the craziness of people and Gov'ts. It's going crazy without the guidance we all so desperatly need. Sorry if I waxed religious... cannot help it in these days of such a downturn of events

Excellent Metal Detecting country. Out west everything I found is mostly modern day coins. I may have a few silvers in the mix I need to take the time and clean them and look at them. Historical places are great because when all there was, was horse back, buggies and wagons people stashed the silver and gold since it took too long to go to town.

We all make mistakes that cost time. I think it most important in life how well we can be patient with ourselves. Unfortunately, beyond what I have said, which is reapeating things I have read to help, I cannot say for sure what to do as I have yet to do a set of injectors on a 24 valve. I remember taking my time replacing a VP44, with the greatest of deliberation to follow each step perfectly, she fired up so beautifully with no issues and been 3 years now without a hiccup. I would say as long as the injector can pivot in it's place while tightening the crossovers that's a good thing. Man I wish Dripley were still around he's made most mistakes and corrected everything. Everyone is wondering what has happened.... I will text him today or soon.

I believe you will have to do it over again due to, just as you say, install the crossover tubes first before wrenching down the injectors. This gets a better line up so no leaks. Sometimes an injector won't leak hardly at all or isn't noticeable but will leak air instead.

It really boils down to being all about the money. You should see this county magizine they just put out... pictures of the county commissioners all big smiles, everything written to describe how much they are doing for the county, what huge sums of money they are spending on various 'improvements'. All I see is a the ruination of a place that used to be uncongested, had clean air, was a nice place to live. Now anyone can see the direction they are heading... higher taxes more overdevelopement with the usual congestion. Everything heading the same direction California has which drives many folks to move away to other states. There's no police enforcement, people drive like nut cases. Higher taxes, people clear cutting their forest land everywhere giving them enough money to subdivide and sell off building lots. The place is getting raped all for money when for years it used to be a nice quiet clean good place to raise a family. This bonanza for developement and cash is driving down the quality of life we had for many years until they got wonderful idea to develope every stick of land. Soon my taxes will go so high I will be clear cutting and sell off lots. It almost like, hey they already screwed the place why don't we jump in on the bonanza too. Problem is everything gets very expensive and the bucks you made don't do what they thought and then life becomes an unsimplified mess just trying to go for groceries. There is really no way to control the climate it's going to do what it does. I do know when driving into my place on hot days its always around 5-7 degrees cooler, even in sun, because of what my trees do for us.

It's too bad oil is getting a bad rap, it's been good to us, still is, for many decades. Ultimately electrical demand will exceed supply and many will be able to enjoy the cheaper oil prices in other parts of the world. When things get like this you may be able to buy a special use permit for diesel. It will be expensive. I think Dripley is hiding from us because he's running around in a Prius or one of them Smart cars. Dan may have a picture. LOL

Both trucks with new Raptor 150's had to run the regulators up and down several times to get them straight. Now I think they are very good regulators. Always steady. One is approaching 60,000 miles now and never a cough or headache.

When looking at the various options, it sounds to me hydrogen may present itself to be a better solution. Perhaps affording also enough energy to recharge needed batteries while traveling. Avoiding rolling Blackouts by overtaxing our electrical grids. Also not relying on more aggressive countries that have Hunter employed... what a huge conflict of interest Hunter and Joe may have in all this green sceem. I needs to be looked into. Just like the vax jabs and booster jabs for the rest of our lives. Big money corrupts. What they do is read Diesefuture's posts and go, ''that's a good idea for the next pallet load of money''.

Yes, very cool. So Hydrogen won't work on a diesel because it's ignited by compression and not spark is that right? Where can I go to learn about this?

Weird. Like to know more about this. Hydrogen seems the way to go. That way we still got piston engines keeping machine shops and mechanics going. Lower the oceans back to normal letting Chevron take water from the sea. Get rid of extremely toxic catalytic converters, together with other high levels of smog thats' comprimising everyones immunsystems and showing up with some weird mutated disease. Then we could stop the politicians from inciting civil war in our city streets like they been doing. I know one thing.... it's strange that living far out in the woods around me that the bee AND the bird populations have dwindled drastically. Now with scortched trees like never before. Hey global warming whatever, whoever I've seen weird things with a hot wind, fires all around it's weird and I think Gods not happy with the bickering and the hate taking over in our world.

In my most humble opinion that's what tesla needs to work on. That way no battery fires that cant be put out, no battery recycle problems. no reliance on China who is attempting a takeover of all battery resources needed to build them. Are there problems with hydrogen tech, why it's being ignored?

Move the recepticle to the rear and a small trailer can be used to tow the gen and charge while underway. No waiting that way.

In the future we'll all have to be driving electric cars to hold a job/ pay living expenses but, Honda will be selling trunk mounts to carry your generator so you can charge up in transit. May be difficult to get the gasoline but, at least you can charge it without dimming the neighbor's lights.

Easy to do..... just let the Cummins purr at a light in front of the Smart, Tesla, Prius group. Some get all bent out of shape just from the sound.

Gee I wonder how much that will help involvement with oil interests (Hunter Biden?) and chunks of money obtained. I think they are in it for themselves nothing more.

Around here it's like the traffic officer's have been budgeted out of a job. As if there is only one traffic enforcement officer which you never see hardly. Friday's seem to bring out the driving Demons. You stay home those days if your an obedient driver (5-7 over). As for the tickets, I can't answer that since I haven't gotten a ticket in 35 years. LOL.

Thanks DF, I'm not that bad... I drive with the flow till everyone is ten over because Im usually just 6/7 over. I try not going over in the 65 MPH areas (highest in Oregon). There is no traffic enforcement in Oregon any more so I try to give others a chance to pull out on an otherewise chain of tailgatting speeders so prevailant today.

A short question... all opinions greatly accepted... if my 01 has 245,000 miles and the auto trans is working properly, is it most likely it was rebuilt at sometime before I bought it.? Thank you all.

Is that Mount Hood your talking about? Can you add 2 stroke oil to the fuel to increase the lubricity to Bosch standards?

Did a quick search on the CP4 injection pump and got info concerning the class action suit involved. All I can say is that it's too bad when there are several pumps already proven reliable. When this pump fails it throws metal chips into the fuel system and because of the warranty clause that states no warranty caused by fuel cantamination, the dealrs/ manufacturers aren't covering the sometimes $10-12,000 damage cost to repair it. IMHO our gov't tries to stop pollution at an excessive increased rate of expense paid for by the American people, when all studies show that increasing money flow thru the economy has an even geater environmental cost with increase waste and pollution in the end. Our Gov't is hosing all of us.

Aren't ther hidden future expenses / costs associated with owning a common rail with the torque of these new trucks?
