Make sure the pump is rebuilt by a certified Bosch injection pump rebuilder. You will know it has been properly tested on the 250,000 dollar test stand required to rebuild them correctly. I think they are supposed to do the test run for 3 hrs or so before they box them up. Bosch also replaces the PSG board on top. Your fuel pressure needs to be around 19 at idle so it won't go below 14 while hauling heavy on up hill grades. 15 psi is the absolute minimum you should ever allow.

W-T ground mod
So I suspect the alternator had an internal short then. It is causing me concern when I hear so much about alternators getting smokin hot recently. I'm getting to be an old duck (old quack) and never heard of this happening until recent. Brings the question to mind if there is something in the newer or more recnt alternators that is cheaply built or some corner cut. They can sure take out a good PCM as we've seen with Mike Nelsons truck.

My alternator got smokin hot from a bad cell in one battery. So you got to test them individually for the possible dead short in either battery. I got new alternator and new batteries installed and no more problem.

Engine Stutter/cough on acceleration...is vp44 bad?
You got bad ground or bad positive side somewhere. If you watch even the oil pressure gauge coincides with the engine miss fire. Also possible low tank level gauge from a bad connection. Film shakes around a bit to tell much on the fuel gauge tho.

I am glad for you Mike that you are able to get caught up on the chores around there. it's a beautiful place. I have a log splitter too..... my two arms, some wedges and sledge and axe. I love splitting by hand. Can't explain why, but I love that type of hard work like it's programmed. we hand split about 4 cords last fall and did most of it myself cause the guy helping is a lackey.

Thank you I think you are right. I was almost certain they faced a different direction at one time, but that would never work.

Mike do those solar panels turn automatically? I've only seen them the other way.

Installed mechanical lift pump but....
He cuts his arm on purpose so his wife lets him have the rest he needs. Both my trucks, one at 30,000, had oil pan leaks. After retorquing them they stopped and I was able to clean everything up.

Yep, probably better a smaller summer boat. Can you get to a town by boat? Cool if not too far, I hope.

Black Hawy Rapids - Camping spot
Have you thought about getting a metal detector for nuggets around the river banks there?

You'll have to get a dock built and have boat powered by twin Cummins. Be nice to have a boat house. I built one in the 90's. Interesting pouring a foundation in the water. Everyone came to see that.

Nice! I'm glad you both got the chance to go for a change of scenery and get away. Recreation is very much something you need and a lot of folks ignore that until one day they realize how important it is. I found out that it is extra special healthy thing to do like drinking water.

Oh good. When you got set up for camp did you bolt your camper extra heavy duty to the ground? I just don't know how that helps fight the corona virus with this shelter in place business

Discussion about when and where.....
I was crawling under a house with an access hole sized for a racoon....... barely getting in there, I notice there's hardly 6 inches under the floor beams and a mean ugly spider bigger than anyone's ever seen and webs the size of rope. Just then the lady yells down thru the floor, ''um cam you bid that in 15 minute increments and list each one in your bid?'' Right then I turned around to get out of there, i went to her and said I'm sorry I think it's best you sell the house as is. They wanted it all dug by hand with proper amount of piers to meet code. It would have been an ugly job.

Yeah that's what I want is GPS with map. Are you saying all I need is the 27-28 dollar item or do I need to go full $1150 bucks for the Garmin? There's two items on there is why. Thanks Nick.

Yes I see milk shortages, sky high prices for each gallon in the market, that's what happens in the long run when economic balance gets upset like this. I worry about not enough people becoming immune to this virus, not letting it take the usual course of dwindling out like other virus where most the population becomes either immune or finds they are already immune....... are we instilling a much worse situation, a real plague that will go longer term??. If we don't allow our immune system to do the work, its normal course of action.... what will we have in the long run? I speculate much.... is with the assumption that immune systems need a work out to stay strong against many of the different attacks.

Thank you IBMobile, we are going to need it with all the closures. I have been in some nice spots while dispersed camping. I did not like the rv getting pushed on one night though That kept me awake for awhile.

BLM Lands and National Forest boundaries
Okay I joined the new world and got a laptop computer. Big deal.... I'm only 30 years late...... I can take it with me camping, but the big question is, how do I plug GPS into it and get where I can see where I am in relation to BLM or National Forest land for dispersed camping? You know..... for it be a map/ screen to show I'm not lost? Is it thru my Verizon? Mopar Mike gonna go, ''Oh geeze'' here goes the donkey'' lol
