  1. Believe it or not, but I was sitting on the couch where the brown pillow is prior to taking these pix!!!! Spud, the black dog, was laying just as he is pictured, but only he was between my legs with his head on my left thigh. Dee, the little brown dog, was laying the same also, but her head was on my right foot. We all fit............as long as I make room for them!!!!!:lmao:
  2. Yikes, I wouldn't wish that on anyone that I liked!!!!
  3. Is your trucks name, "Lucky"??? Wow, that's a lot in a year!!:2cents:
  4. Look at your videos. To the folks with no exposed wires in the cab of their trucks, yours looks like the old time telephone switching boards!!!!!!! Just saying!!
  5. My buttocks hurts just thinking of sitting that long!!!!:lmao2:
  6. I've shot some nice gobblers in the past..........but, I'd really like to go turkey hunting with this gal!!!!
  7. The lowest I've seen on my 04.5.........my '99 didn't have the thermometer........was -13*F. Saw that a couple different times since I've had Mighty Whitey. I've been up in northern Wisconsin ice fishing in -30*F weather.
  8. Are you from Iowa?????? With a name like Hawkeye, I have to ask, because your profile doesn't say where you are. The cooling system on these trucks is amazing due to their size and capacity. My 04.5 will cool down to 160*F and less from 190* if I let it idle in cold weather. I would surmise also that if left idling long enough, there wouldn't be any pressure in the system, because the coolant temp is below boiling. My 04.5 won't and my old '99 wouldn't "warm up" to operating temp at all in cold weather.Get a quality brand thermostat and swap it out. It's the easiest/cheapest way to go. Winter front??
  9. Wasn't that just a couple months ago??!!!!!!
  10. Oh, I see......................when I saw the word "fetish" and assumed otherwise!!!! But that horsey foot fetish pays the bills rather nicely for me!!! Try it sometime!!!!
  11. Since ISX says I have a "foot fetish", I thought I'd post this topic about "my" feet.......not my customers horses feet. The question is this................Why do my feet "sweat" more in the winter when it's below freezing vs. when it's 90*+ in the summer?????? For example, in the heat of the summer, when I pull my work boots off, my socks are relatively dry. You cannot see that they are wet. Yesterday when I got home from working, I pulled my work boots off, and it almost looked like I had been standing in water over the tops of the boots. You could see that my socks were soaked. What gives here????
  12. Is that 930k maintenance/service schedule in the "owners manual"???? Keep on trucking!!
  13. Very cool, but on my 'puter, it sounded like a 12 valver!!!
  14. Great post!!!!:smart::thumbup2:
  15. ISX, the 1st gens also have a higher compression ratio than the 2nd&3rd gens do. So more heat is produced when the air is compressed which helps combustion/mileage. 1st gens are all mechanical too...........no sensors to instruct the engine how much fuel to inject based on the input from them. Cool/cold air is dense air........the sensors will adjust the amount of fuel injected based on that to maintain pollution standards. IAT, TPS, MAP etc..............the 2nd and 3rd gen trucks because of these the fueling map in the programming continually is monitored and changes based on the inputs.
  16. With 100,000 miles, and the tires wearing off the inside lugs, he may need front end work and/or an alignment. Ball joints, tie-rod ends etc. If the tires ain't rolling straight, that's a huge drag on the engine and will make the tires wear oddly. I would also guess that he has a heavy foot!!!
  17. What kind of driving are you doing?????? Around town, stop and go...........or highway cruising.........towing???? The cooling system on these trucks is so good/efficient/large that even towing around town in cool weather, won't bring the engine temps up.Idling will drop the temps a lot..........even in "HOT" Georgia weather!!! I remember towing a 25' car hauler loaded 3 ATV's and hunting gear for 5 guys in -10*F temps and into a straight 25mph North wind. No winter front at the time. Boost was running 20lbs.+, the EGT was 900-1000*, but the coolant temp was barely over 190. Stopped for fuel, and in the 10 minutes or so it took to fill up, the coolant temp dropped to under 160*.
  18. No pictures, but just like Russ and Mikes.......I made mine from clear lexan. They usually don't come off until about May for me also.
  19. My girlfriend said she'd like to go somewhere she'd never been before.............I replied, "How about the kitchen??!!" That's when the fight started!!!!
  20. Mighty Whitey has 135,437 miles on her as of today.
  21. There's a fellow in my retriever club with a 'doodle. She's actually a pretty good hunting dog.........probably because the only thing "poodle" on her is the hair!!!
  22. No, I go by what I hear, or overhear!!! Oh, to be 21 again!!! I'd get into more trouble now!!!
