  1. I don't believe all Russians are bad. There are many that are against this. I find them interesting as a culture myself. I also respect them for many reasons as a country and a people of this world. I however do not support what their leader is doing. No more than I support our leader now and what he is doing. The entire world is under attack by the globalist. We all need to realize that this has been planned for a very very long time.
  2. I'll have to check out that link. Our mainstream media is biased left, woke garbage as well. Newsmax is probably the closest you get to real reporting. Not sure if the have reporters there or not. I tried to limit myself over the weekend on my news intake. Had enough going on already. Lol
  3. See, @wil440 our news media here is extremely censored right now. They are nothing but propaganda to steer us towards what ever they're agenda is for the day. Put mainstream media is HORRIBLE for this. Secondary media is hit and miss. We can't get good information on much of anything.
  4. Camping in the desert sounds fun. At least before it gets to hot. Lol I'm looking forward to the camping season. We typically don't go much further than about 50 miles bit it's still a good time. I want to venture out further once I get some things done on the camper and truck.
  5. I didn't watch much. I think today I will try to go news free to regain some of my sanity.
  6. Yeah, on the driver's side. Ill have to repair the top edge of the frame. Should be an easy fix. I have done that, alot of the damage I saw after the removal of the hitch wasn't able to be seen when it was installed. I know what I have to deal with now so it will all be correct before the other bed is set on the frame.
  7. UPDATE ********* So, gonna switch gears a bit for towing. Not the rear end gears literally. The gooseneck hitch is gone. I don't have anything with a gooseneck to tow so I ordered a fifth wheel hitch. I had the bed rails already (they were in the replacement bed I bought last year) so I got the hitch and all new hardware to mount the rails in the bed with new brackets to tie it to the frame as well. For now I will mount it all in this bed, the hitch will span the hole left by the gooseneck hitch. I did a test fit and everything lines up fine and bolts through good metal. The replacement bed needs to be sanded, primed and painted before I swap them. To cold to do that now. Once done everything will transfer over with minimal trouble I think. The 5th wheel hitch I bought is a Curt E16 which will tow up to 16,000lbs and a hitch vertical load of up to 4000lbs. Our 5th wheel is 10k empty with approximately 2600lbs on the kingpin. This hitch should be adequate for us at the moment. Once all installed I will have to check clearance for my tool box while turning and such but I think it will all work out. Worst case, I may have to get a pinbox extended for the camper to move it further back from the hitch. Right now the kingpin is directly below the box which puts the nose of the camper closer to the cab and toolbox.
  8. I feel the same way. Everytime I watch Newsmax I have to limit my exposure. I can feel my blood pressure rise. It sickens me to no end how bad things are now and the possibility of it getting even worse. They just passed the omnibus bill which is 1.5 TRILLION dollars of our tax money! Some of it for Ukrane relief, some for "gender equlity" (what ever the hell that is) and don't forget the 21% raise they gave themselves while we struggle with the most expensive energy costs in history! WTF!!!!!!! There was also something in this bill giving the fed more control over firearms. Wonder why? Maybe its because they know that sooner or later we WILL be coming for them! Don't know if it's the coffee or thinking about this now but now I'm wound up. I'm pissed! I'm sick and tired! This administration needs to be fired and tried for treason! This has been a government take over! Someone or several need to hang! The truckers in DC need to crash the gate and park the trucks in the white house foyer. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGHHHHH!!!!!
  9. Looking great! Cant wait to see more!
  10. I was thinking about him yesterday. If you hear from him please share
  11. Yeah, mother nature is a mean old woman....lol
  12. Well, I did not get to ride Saturday, had to help my brother fix his wife's car. That took way more time than I expected. I did charge the battery and reinstall it in the bike. Fired it up for the first time this year. Man did it sound good. Gonna have to spend some money this year. Need 2 new tires before our trip to Florida in late may. I'd like to replace the tuner I messed up as well. (Whole nother story there) Today it's back to reality, it's 35° outside and raining. Mother nature is a mean old hag!
  13. I've gotten several compliments on them from guys at work (when I was on nights). One guy even had me order him an led light strip for his truck.
  14. I know I'm a bit late on this, been a busy week. Here are my reverse lights. I have LED bulbs in the stock sockets and the the LED light strip with brake/turn signals and reverse lights. Makes for plenty of light for me at least. First pic is the back of the truck at night in reverse. Second is the light it casts behind it, taken from in the bed.
  15. As long as there isn't a catastrophic failure they should last quite a while. Catch stuff before it goes critical. Especially bearings. That's awesome if you got over 300k out of one. Hope they all last that long.
  16. You read that right, here in northwest Ohio it's supposed to be sunny and 70 tomorrow. The bikes battery is on the slow charger to be load tested in the morning. Might have to take off for a couple hours tomorrow to get a pack of smokes or something. Lol
  17. I am out of the way for a stop by but can't wait to see it !
  18. @Max Tune, that sucks! that was one of my concerns with these new milwaukee 8's there using now. Harley vibrate, the new ones not as much as they used to but they still do. Thats gonna be rough on those small radiators. My brother has an '18 or '19 ultra with that motor. My son just bought a '21 with the 107. Not knocking them it's just that I'm not completely sold on them yet either. Hope they get it fixed soon for ya!
  19. I have and was aware of what could be seen. It was much worse than I thought once it was out. I also have another bed for the truck. Just needs to be painted to match. It already has the rails in it for a fifth wheel hitch and the top plate for a gooseneck. I think I'll just patch over the hole for the gooseneck and buy the frame brackets for the fifth wheel rails. I don't have anything that I need a gooseneck for. Just a fifth wheel should do just fine. During the bed swap I'll repair anything that needs attention and paint the frame with chassis saver paint.
  20. So today I had some time to spare so I removed the gooseneck hitch from the bed of the truck. Boy am I glad I did. We have been pulling our 36' 10k pound fifth wheel (with an adapter) with this hitch. I noticed that one of the cross members was badly rusted, that's what prompted me to remove it to inspect it. All 4 bolts snapped off when I tried to loosen them. The hitch is junk. It would have been very dangerous if not catastrophic to pull the camper again. See pics below.
  21. If your referring to the connection he's holding near the driver's side battery it's a ground wire made from the leftover wire from the passenger side. Lug each end then connect one end to the neg battery post and the other to the gear case bolt down near the vp44.
  22. I don't have a scale readily available. (other than the expensive CAT scales at the truck stops) I could guesstimate mine slightly higher, I do want to weigh it with and without the 5th wheel camper once that season gets here. Such a PITA to change rear pressure. I have 7 hole wheels with 4 hole shiny covers so nothing lines up to get a gauge or air chuck in there. Been looking at extenders and such for a solution.
  23. Now the 4440 and 2860 front and rear, are those the weight as the truck sits empty as driven daily?
