  1. Those are super nice gauges I just don't know if I want to spend the amount they're asking for them. They're a bit pricey. Maybe I'm a bit of a cheap skate
  2. More than likely. The harness was split into multiple pieces to be installed quickly on the assembly line. Most systems go in as modules. Engine(with wire harness), dash(fully assembled dash with instrument cluster, heater controls all installed). Anything to get their production numbers up.
  3. It worked. Was working before.......
  4. I've been meaning to get one for a while. Problem is, when I go to harbor freight for a $25 tool somehow I spend $200
  5. Your right @JAG1, I should have mentioned it is dangerous. I don't have a laser thermometer so I never thought if that. I should pick one up someday. Would seem to be handy at times.
  6. Maybe they putting the rear end up on Jack stands just off the ground. Run the truck and have someone walk around to localize the noise?
  7. Yeah, I'm sure the county would have a field day. We have a small backhoe on a 3 point hitch. Rather just dig it myself and replace the drainage tiles. May have to remove some trees from the area to prevent it from happening again.
  8. Yes, already! 2021 flew by although it seems the years go by faster the older I get.
  9. You've done some work on the fuel system, double check everything to make sure it isn't drawing in air. Sounds like it may be loosing prime when it's shut off. Rather than spraying with ether try cycling the key to start the lift pump, make sure you hear the LP running, then just bump the starter so the lift pump kicks on for 20 seconds. Then attempt to start. If it does start then your loosing prime when it sits. If you have a fuel pressure gauge I would also test that. Be sure the LP builds pressure before starting and maintains it after it's running.
  10. Hi neighbor! I was just in Delaware yesterday. I believe there is a check valve of some sort in the heat exchanger that needs to be in the fluid circuit. For some reason I can't link the the thread. Check valve is in the fittings for the steel lines you access it from the bottom with lots of cussing. OEM hoses lasted 20 years so replace with top quality or silicone hose The above is a quate from the post.
  11. I dont know if they work or not but they make those sonic pest repellants. Plugs into an a/c outlet. Maybe put them outside?
  12. A little info on the truck would help also. Exactly what year, trans, milage? Maybe put it in the signature line. You will have to check for codes and once it is running look at the live data as well. That can tell you alot of the running condition. Get back to us, we will help as much as we can. Also, Happy New Year!
  13. Nice truck! I see your a new member. There is an introduction section further down the main forum list if you'd like to introduce yourself. Welcome!
  14. This morning, FOGGY, 43 deg, visability only about 1/4 mile. Temps are supposed to start dropping through the day, rain after about 10am, turning to snow later 2-4 inches expected. It's been a very wet fall/winter here so far, lots of rain. The ground here is soggy. When I walk through the yard I sink in an inch and water squishes out around your boot. The ground is so saturated with water at this point when we do get rain the septic and leach field get inundated with water and stops flowing. I've had to drop a submersible pump into the septic tank just far enough to pump out the rain water to get things moving again. I hate to do it but I don't have much choice at this point. I believe I'm going to have to dig up the tile around the outer perimeter of the leach and redo it. I'm sure tree roots have gotten into the tile.
  15. Just wanted to take a minute and wish all my friends here a Happy New Year! Hope it is a better year than the past two have been. Let's all hope for the best!
  16. .08? Even that sounds low. @Mopar1973Man will chime in I'm sure but I think it should show nearly 10%
  17. Glad to hear ya got it figured out. Mine is showing 0% load at idle. It stays around 810-820 rpm at the moment. Planning on new injectors in the spring. I'm thinking 50 or 75hp from DAP. She may smoke a little for a bit. Planning on other additions later to clear it up.
  18. Curious @2000Cumminsyessir, what injectors did you go with?
  19. Ok, just wondering. I was thinking back to lashing valves in a chevy small block. Made a mess of the inner fenders. Lol
  20. Just an observation, I've never had the rocker cover off my cummins yet. With the engine running shouldn't there be oil squirting out of the push rods? Or does just enough come out to lubricate? Just curious.
  21. That would be pretty cool!
  22. To add to @Mopar1973Man suggestions, the quad adrenaline also has gauges built into it. I like the idea of having gauges on the A pilar myself. Quick glance and you see whats up and right near your line of sight. Plus they do look cool. For what your doing though you could have saved a few $$. Just my $.02
  23. Gonna be calling them anyway. I returned the radiator I ordered from Amazon ( sent the wrong one). Gonna order one from DAP this time. Don't know why I didn't use them in the first place. Brain cramp
