Thanks for the replies. I bit the bullet and ordered a new one. I didn't want to chance it blowing out the tank on me if I happen to be towing heavy one day. I don't expect to be but you never know what pops up some days. Besides, be a great time to do the cooling system flush, I have a new t-stat in the glove box already just haven't installed it yet. So now she will have fresh coolant, new t-stat, heater core was replaced a year or so ago. Should be all good after this. The radiator I ordered was from Amazon (took advantage of my prime free shipping). It's from Klimoto??? But offers a lifetime warranty against defects. Read all the reveiws, all good and most mentioned specifically that it was installed in a cummins truck.

So yesterday made a trip to my dad's house to help him with a couple things. When I walked to my truck to leave I noticed some coolant on the driveway. Checked the levels before I left and it was still full so I'll check it hot when I get home. I found a Crack in the plastic tank on the driver's side behind the intercooler. (See pic) Perfect timing right before Christmas and all. You know, when everyone is a little tight on funds because of gift buying and such. My question is: has anyone here used the JB weld radiator repair kit for plastic? I'm on the fence about doing a repair like that for now or just bite the bullet and buy new. RA has 1 for $163 plus shipping but they only have 1 left in stock. I haven't checked prices locally yet. Usually RA is cheaper so I look there first.

Beautiful view! Don't know if I want to make that trek with the 5'er though. From near toledo ohio that would be a pretty long haul. Maybe someday. Still getting everything set up they way I want it for towing that big thing.

Absolutely, I was born in 1970, don't remember alot of that decade as I was a youngster then but what I do remember was much better than what I see now. Sooner or later these wrong doers will have to answer for what they have done whether it be infront of a jury or in front of God himself they will be judged one way or another. I'm not overly religious but I do belive that everything has an opposite. Like yin and yang. It is obvious that there are devilish forces at work so it would be silly to dismiss a heavenly force as well. Just my opinion, not all see it that way and that's fine to, so far it's still a free country. On a side note, I appreciate this forum and that fact that we can hold a discussion like this without attacking one another. It's refreshing to be able to express one's views and still respect each other in the process. Thank you all for that and thank you Mike for bringing this all together.

@JAG1, I appreciate your father's service along with all other veterans that have served this country. Also sorry for you loss. Your family was affected by the sacrifice your father made for all of us like many other families, i hope somehow we right this ship soon or we will all go down with it. My hope is people start to wake up to the propaganda such as the media driven race issues for example. And while we're at it, this new hyper sensitive culture needs to calm down and accept the fact that not everyone is going to cater to their feelings. Sad thing is alot of people voted for biden simply because they didn't like Trump. What a terrible way to choose a president. Like him or not the economy was doing very well, unemployment was low and we were energy independent. Personally I don't care for Trump as a person BUT, he did a lot of good things while in office. May have done more if he wasn't busy fighting 2 impeachment trials that were unfounded and a complete waste of tax money and time. It really discusts me seeing our present situation knowing that so many have fought and died for this country and our freedoms. I know as Americans our only options are peaceful protests and our vote but until the polls open I will resist any mandates they impose. I refuse to take their shots. I really hope and pray that once these criminals are exposed they are arrested and tried accordingly. There should be a very heavy price to pay for the crimes against humanity and outright treason. They should be made example of to deter future attempts to threaten the American way. Man this all just pi$$es me off.

In all reality from what I have heard on a couple of different non mainstream media outlets is that the virus mortality rate was less than an average flu season. Covid is not a great threat to children either but now they want to jab kids of all ages and they're working on a "vaccine" for new born babies! When will this insanity stop!? Fauci needs to go to prison or worse! Big pharma can go @%#! Themselves! There are many many health care workers, including doctors that refuse the jab. What does that tell you? These demoncrats have effectively divided and destroyed this country with fake news propaganda. Not to mention they're going to bankrupt us with these trillions of dollars spending bills. All while the taliban is parading around the 850 BILLION dollars worth of military equipment they left for them use against us. Maybe that was payment for their participation in 9/11? I've had pretty good luck with anything from napa. I try to avoid AUtozone, advance and stores like that anymore. Seems they get alot if cheap China parts that don't last. Just my experience.

10th digit is a 1 in the vin. I wasn't sure how many numbers some troll might need to do something with my vin number. I blocked out the bar code as well because it's the vin just in code. Here you can see the first 10 digits I guess it kind of explains why the 2001.5 truck got rear disk brakes and not the entire model year. 01.5 had to have been the actual model change over as far as physical parts and upgrades. Maybe they wanted to hit a certain number for production in '01 and had to change the vin designation early to meet production numbers?

I find it odd as well. I work in the automotive industry, model year change over is typically in july for most. When I first saw the build date I actually checked the title. Kinda wish it was an 01.5, rear disk brakes would be nice. This is the door sticker. I even checked to make sure the vin matched the plate on the dash just in case the door was replaced. Lol I blocked the vin in the pic but it does match.

It's titled and registered as an '01 though. I noticed that not long after I bought it. Didn't make sense then and still don't. Lol I wonder if I could measure while cables are still in? There are pretty big differences in length of the new ones. Might be able to tell from that. Although I would like to see the cable end within the drum as well.

I recently had the parking brake hang up a little while leaving for work in the morning. I know the cable from the left rear wheel is in bad shape, outer casing is bunched up and looks to be the culprit. I would like to just replace both cables going to the rear wheels. They aren't very expensive on RA but there are so many I'm not entirely sure which ones to order. Am I going to have to measure the cables since there seems to be different lengths? There also seems to be a cut off, parts must have changed after 7/00. Mine was built 2/00 so I at least figured that part out. Truck should be in the sig but just in case it's a 2001 (man. Date of 2/00 ) ram 3500 quad cab long bed. I don't know the wheel base (some cables show WB measurments). Just don't want to order the wrong parts. Thanks for any help.

I've heard of the timbos apps but what is the difference or advantage over an oem replacement? Just asking.....
