COVID Deaths after being Vaccinated
Not saying I'm right or wrong but I will not get the vaccine. If they begin forcing it somehow, I will hold out as long as I can against it. I see what they're doing to the people of Australia, it's very disturbing.

Replaced track bar, steering wheel is now "off"
Well, with the track bar replaced all was good until a few days ago on the way to work. Hit some RR tracks and got the death wobble again. Checked things out today. I think the ball socket that connect to the pitman arm may have a bit of play. Steering stabilizer is most likely shot as well just judging by appearance on that one.

Replaced track bar, steering wheel is now "off"
Fixed! Took about 1.5 turns to straighten it back up. Crooked steering wheel is one of my pet peeves. Drives me crazy. Thanks for the responses!

Replaced track bar, steering wheel is now "off"
@Tractorman I am not the original owner. I've had the truck about a year and a half. The track bar I removed was not adjustable neither was the replacement I installed. Unsure if the wheel has ever been centered. The truck is not lifted. Stock ride height.

Replaced track bar, steering wheel is now "off"
So, I replaced the track bar today. Not a bad job really. But once done I went for a ride and now the steering wheel is turned to the left. The center isn't up and down now but about half way between level and up and down. I've read that one can fix this by adjusting the drag link that runs from the pitman arm down? Or is this a total alignment issue? I'd rather just fix it here if possible. I don't know why this would have moved anything provided the specs of both old and new bars were the same. (Which obviously isn't the case). The bar I removed was a moog problem solver. Keep in mind the truck has a bit less than 160k on it. So I assume this would be the 3rd track bar since new. Not a really good record if you ask me. Thank in advance for any replies.

Lower Ball Joint Flush Style Grease Zerks
O guess I'm not clear on how those flush ones work. Mine has the 45° fittings like @dripley showed. Haven't had a problem getting them.

EGR & DPF DELETE
My uncle has an '08 chevy duramax with egr and dpf. His must be an early attempt by duramax as it uses diesel to burn out the dpf instead of the fluid. No reservoir for it at all. So far no issues with that system. (Bone stock truck) But the egr has plugged up on him at least once. Cost his $1000 at the dealer to fix it.

looking for a truck
From what I've seen lately used trucks have been up in value some what, add in a diesel and they go higher. I recently saw an '01 dodge 3500 dually nearly identical to mine advertised by RBP for just over 35K ! Wth???

"The Beast" Broke The High Mark 28.04 MPG On The Quadzilla!
That's about where I'm at with my dually. That's empty though just back and forth to work about 27 miles one way. I fill up about every week or so whether it needs it or not. I think last time I checked it I was closer to 17-18 mpg.

Help; narrowing down on upgrades.
I still didn't see how many miles on his truck. Maybe a set of new injectors could cure most of his issues. I think new sticks with correct pop pressures would help spool the turbo a bit better. Then some gauges (sorry, didn't see them mentioned either). The quad adrenaline claims to add 180hp to a stock 5.9 truck. That would put him in the low 400hp range. How much weight is he towing? I won't claim to know anything about twins but the OP seems to really want them for some reason? The stock HX35 is capped at 19psi, with a quad he would also be able to increase the boost upwards of 30+psi. This is all going off of what I have read and learned here so someone correct me if I misspoke please. I also just got of work and tired. Lol

Crank case vent mod done
The radiator will get degreaser and or dawn dish soap to get the oil off. I was referring to the vanes of the turbo.

Crank case vent mod done
Great advise, thanks. While I have all the plumbing disconnected from the turbo is there a way to clean the dark residue from the turbo vanes? I noticed it last time I had the tube off from the air filter. I was thinking maybe brake cleaner, or something that leaves no film? Since it's all disconnected it won't go into the pipes or intercooler. Just a thought, it probably isn't hurting anything but why not clean it if you can?

Crank case vent mod done
I'll be doing a coolant flush before fall and pull the radiator to clean all the gunk off from the puke bottle.

Crank case vent mod done
Been meaning to get to this mod for a while. My radiator is getting covered in oil and dust sticking to it so it was time. I followed @Mopar1973Man's write up on this for the most part. I did reuse the hose from the oem vent. I cut off the "J" part of it and used the piece that kind of jogs over a bit. It's a tight fit getting the pvc in it but it works. To paint the pvc I used rustoleum satin black implement/industrial paint. Dries to the touch in about 15 minutes and seems to cover and stick to the pvc pretty well. Thought I'd share a couple pics.

Killer dowl pin questions
I'm sure that truck was very abused and disposable to whom ever used it. Hopefully you got it all worked out. I may just replace the water pump to since I'll have the cooling system open already. Gonna get all the pieces and parts lined up and here. It's my daily driver so it can't be down for long. I could use the wife's car but........na

Killer dowl pin questions
So I am planning on a coolant flush before fall. Should I just go ahead and replace the water pump to and do the KDP keeper/front seal as well?

Getting stuck in 4th Gear issues for NV4500
As @wil440said, that 45 looks pretty uniform but,, did it maybe break off?

Killer dowl pin questions
To bad there is no way of knowing if you have the updated case cover without opening it up. Until the mechanic at work started questioning me about it I wasn't all that concerned really. Now he has me 2nd guessing it again.

Killer dowl pin questions
I may or may not have asked about this before. I searched but didn't find anything so here we go. My truck is a 2001 3500. Is this KDP I've read about an issue or was it resolved before my truck was built? I have a mechanic at work (trucking comoany) that says I need to tear into the front of the engine and put a tab washer on the bolt closest to this pin to stop it from backing out. I have read about it quite a bit and got no definitive answer as to whether or not they fixed the issue by '01 model year. Any input? Thanks all! Also, sorry if this has been discussed before, maybe I don't know how to use the search correctly.

My first explosive tire failure!
Oh wow. That could have been a disaster!

Cetane do you use it ?
I don't know for sure if the diesel around here is bio or not. The pump don't say it is. Are they required to state if it is or not? I run the 2 stroke oil anyway just to help lube the pump. They're expensive and I'd rather not chance it. Sooner or later I'm sure it will wear out but I'd like to make it last as long as I can.

My first explosive tire failure!
What in the world is that!? Glad to see you didn't get hurt or tear anything up real bad other than the tire Mike.

Defective Head Gasket
- My son the wrapper
For whatever reason the images didn't come up. I worked with a guy that did that and was part owner of the business. He offered to do my truck at the time but it would have been basically a rolling billboard for him so I declined. Scratch the first sentence, refreshed the page and the ages loaded. - My son the wrapper
