  1. @Mopar1973Man, I am very suspect if this time. If you send me a quad with this tune loaded I will try it and report back. Seriously, sounds like your on to something, good job! If I ever decide to pull the trigger on a quad I will definitely ask for your advise on which tune would be best to start with for my setup at the time. All that tech stuff just seems to be over my head.
  2. Check all the leaf spring mounts, U bolts I'd even check the frame just to make sure nothing is moving. If there is movement somewhere usually there are some kind of witness marks. Maybe have a helper and hold the brake while to apply throttle. Have the helper watch the rear end to see if there is any abnormal movement.
  3. That's exactly what it is. Thanks IBMobile.
  4. So I'm confused, does it pull left all the time or only under acceleration? If acceleration, all the time or only pushing hard in the go pedal?
  5. I agree with droplet, if the shop is not familiar with some of the nuances of these trucks and the little tricks that keep them on the road he may diagnose something else. Once you get the truck back do the WT ground mod if the shop didn't. Check for a/c noise as well. There are many knowledgeable people on here to help with whatever you get into. I have learned alot in the months that I've been a member.
  6. @dripley, maybe put it in storage for when something else goes wrong? Lol My older daughter has a crv and the only thing it needs to my knowledge is the flex piece in the exhaust replaced. Decent vehicle for her and her small family, all wheel drive and plenty of room for them. Told her I'd replace that part if she bought it.......it's been a year now
  7. I've told my kids here lately that I refuse to work on ford's anymore unless they're old fords. The newer ones are above my shade tree mechanic skill set. Lol
  8. Oh.......I'm not fixing it. Lol I actually picked it up at her apartments and delivered it to the transmission shop. Lucky for me, I don't know squat about auto transmission repair. Minor things maybe, like fluid/filter change or something.
  9. Thanks @IBMobile, I think I've seen that write before. Just forgot about it. I'll out this on my list of things I'd like to do to the truck. I plan on keeping her a looooong time so I have several mods in mind both for function and convenience along with comfort.
  10. That's my theory as well. I'll get it squared away once cash flow starts up again. Lol. The T-stat isn't to expensive but the 6 gallons of coolant adds up.
  11. I've read about the different high idle setups. Factory, Moparmans and the quad high idle. I have none of these. I'd like to have at least the factory high idle. I haven't called a dealer yet to see what they would charge, I'm a little scared. Lol it would be nice to have her idle up when it's cold out.
  12. @Mopar1973Man, I've replaced the heater core and evap, cleaned it all up as well, blend door is working also. However, when I did the heater core I did not flush the entire cooling system or change the thermostat. Those are going to have to be my next move. While doing that I will back flush the new heater core in case any debris got in there. My thermostat works but it seems to take a while to warm up and the temp will drop 15-20° sitting at a red light. So not sure if that's normal. I'll be doing these once things settle down again. Been off work with a bad knee for a while, funds are very low so any work around home has come to a hault for a bit.
  13. Actually a mercury. My daughter had an '08 mecury mountaineer with transmission trouble. She found it was cheaper to rent a car trailer from u-haul than pay a tow truck so guess who got the call......
  14. Your welcome @Tractorman! I'll be honest, this is my first dodge truck and I believe the only vehicle I can remember not having a recirc button. That was the reason behind the original question. If you do a mod where we can recirc on all settings please do a write up. I would be interested in how to do it as well. I know mopar1973man says it isn't needed on his truck. He seems to have awesome heating. Mine however does not get that hot. I'll look into that later. Looking forward to a write up (I hope)
  15. @Mopar1973Man sells LED replacements in the forum store if you want to go that route. (Just a little free advert for ya mike!)
  16. The WT ground mod like they mentioned is a preventative measure. It's not difficult to do, takes a little bit of time but more than pays for itself in savings later. Clean DC power is must to prevent issues like what your having. I was unaware of it myself until reading here about it. I tested for a/c noise twice, did the mod and tested again and was amazed at how much it cleaned it up. Good luck, follow the advise here and you'll be back on the road soon. Lots of info and experience on this forum.
  17. I'm not as far out as you guys are but my water system is on the property with a well and leach field. Electric is supplied by the grid but if it does go out I have a generator and 200 gallons of gas to keep it going. Also have 100 gallons of diesel if needed. Don't need natural gas or propane, we heat the house with firewood via a wood burning furnace and harvest trees fr out own wooded land. And yes, I have weapons, I am american.......lol
  18. Yeah, our little piece of cloth will do nothing. But hey, we are all just minions anyway. They need to get the population down somehow. Around here they have signs in the stores "No Mask No Service"
  19. I had some carpet padding I used for a while. It had a moisture barrier on one side. That held up for about 5 years. It was soft on the gravel and kept the dampness away with the barrier side down.
  20. My drive is gravel, creepers don't roll. I use cardboard alot as well.
  21. Have you thought about one of those cloth like sliding mechanics creepers? I saw them on one of those truck shows. Seemed to work good for them but I've never known anyone that has tried one. https://www.google.com/search?q=sliding+mechanics+creeper&source=lmns&tbm=vid&bih=512&biw=360&client=ms-android-verizon&prmd=sivn&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiB0o6o8vvtAhVKG6wKHUTzBM0Q_AUoA3oECAAQBg#
  22. I saw this story this morning. The dodge ram truck plant in michigan is producing the ram TRX with the 700hp hellcat engine and somehow apparently one fell of a carrier on the assembly line. Then one of the employees decided it would be a good idea to leak this photo of it on instagram. The automakers are very picky about pictures being taken in the plants on a good day, let alone when something like this happens. The guy that took the pic posted it with his user name and a pic of himself in the profile. At the very least he will probably be unemployed very soon.
  23. How bout one like this?
  24. I would be hard to hide mine. There would be 4 black marks in the road
  25. I would have said the same thing.
