  1. Welcome, Tracy! :thumbup2:Mike wants to know if you're single?
  2. What Bryan said... It's the Bosch VP44 injection pump. You have the Bosch P7100 injection pump; it's completely mechanical, which is good. (not saying VP's are bad, but they do give us a little more trouble)
  3. Dang, sorry to hear all your troubles... :(Makes us really appreciate fuel pressure gauges... Best mod ever. (although it shouldn't have to be a mod)
  4. Definitely test for fuel pressure. That's always the #1 thing. I would open the banjo at the VP, and then bump the starter. Then you will know if the lift pump is doing it's job, and fuel is getting to the VP.
  5. Check for codes. Might've took out the VP.I always bleed through the banjo bolt at the VP. I've never had to crack injector lines...
  6. So for the past few months I've had about 8-9 PSI at idle, and if I was hard on it, and shifted at 2,500 RPM (<-- I never do that, except for that one test) I could get it just over 20 PSI. Cruising speed (55 MPH) I had about 15 PSI. A couple days ago I threw in a very thin washer (shim) and now It idles at a solid 12 - 12 1/2 PSI, and I've got 20 PSI by about 1,600 RPM, and after that the regulator starts regulating, so if I'm hard on it, I can get it over 25 PSI, but driving like a sane person, it'll max out at about ~23 PSI while going through the gears.Better than nothing.....
  7. I like the looks of N-Fabs, but they are expensive, and I don't know if they will suite your needs or not? http://www.n-fab.com/products/sfID1/147/sfID2/83/sfID3/85/productID/577
  8. I know, but it belongs to my friend, so I'm making it easy on him, plus he doesn't loan it out to anybody, so it's best if it just stays on his property. I should be able to get most of the wood on the flatbed and knock it out in one trip.
  9. EV2 mechanical gauges are supposed to be released sometime soon, but I don't know when...
  10. Or is the Assassin modeled off of the Fuel Boss? Either way, they're basically the same setup. I've tried a million things with the regulator, changed up the return, and I still can't get a good pressure span like y'all do. I could buy an expensive regulator, but I'm just gonna get a FASS when the money comes, and hopefully call it DONE...
  11. I have 10 hickory trees on the ground. I need to get them cut up, and hauled to my friend's place; he has the splitter.
  12. Man that's awesome. I wish my Assassin could do that... :banghead:
  13. Dumb question, but is this flywheel HP, or HP at the ground?
  14. :thud:Nice!I always cruise at 55, but I doubt I will see those numbers.
  15. I've been doing some. Don't have any pics right now though.I put a knot in my back the other day, and I'm hand splitting, so I may not get much done for a little while.
  16. What kind of gauge? All connections good? Make sure the harness is plugged in good at the gauge and the thermocouple. Maybe use a little dielectric grease?

  18. Also, on the note of motor mount locations causing the crack, that makes even more sense, because some people say their 53 was fine, then they added some mods and it cracked. Well that makes sense because more torque would mean more stress on that motor mount? Correct?
  19. Not to be nosey, but I was wondering the same thing...
  20. There's nothing special about the wood, other than it's black walnut, at least that I can tell, there's nothing special about it. I was thinking about asking $100 for a couple of the better chunks of wood. Always better to start high and negotiate, but then again, you don't want to scare off the customer with a crazy price.
  21. Post #7, last paragraph.
  22. Sorry, I misunderstood. I'm no expert, so I couldn't really explain it, so either somebody else will, or wait til I can dig up some info. Timing and duration is what raises cylinder pressure. Your 75 HP sticks are roughly a 7x.00825. Refer to this thread for rough estimates on injector size/horsepower. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/7496-Injector-Sizes-And-Turbo-Discussion
  23. Just thought I'd throw that in there... A lot of people will start asking how much boost they can run on stock head bolts. I know you didn't say that, but again, I just thought I'd throw that in there. Which performance place is this? He probably meant a Super B, not a Super B Special. The B is a 57/65/14 I believe, and the Special is a 64/71/14. You'll need 7x.011 sticks to properly spool a Special
  24. Just remember, cylinder pressure blows head gaskets, not boost. :thumbup2:The way I look at it, you want to match the turbo to your injectors, and if you have a programmer, fine, you just gotta turn it down when towing. (or just keep an eye on EGT's, and leave the programmer wherever you want it)Since you have 75 HP sticks, a Super B would be the turbo to upgrade to. Just make sure you know you want to keep using those injectors before you go spending ~$1,000 on a turbo.
