  1. 2 cycle Michael.
  2. Burned about 2 cords down here in SE TX.
  3. That's a clean truck, JAG!
  4. I've never stabbed it up to 2,500 RPM... Maybe 1,800-2,000, and it's smooth as can be. No hiccups or hesitation. Have you played with your programmers (changed settings, and/or turn them off) to see if it still does it?
  5. I was scared to do it with the engine running, for a couple reasons. 1) metal shavings go through the turbine instead of coming out of the hole. 2) bit breaks off and runs through the turbine. I placed big magnets around the hole I was drilling, and that caught most of the shavings, along with a greased bit and tap. After I was done drilling and tapping, I used a shop vac and small magnet to clean up shavings.
  6. Good to hear. Whenever I swapped pulleys, it always changed my overall pressure, where either both (idle/WOT) were too high, or too low. But it depends on regulator spring tension as well.
  7. Try a new set of lines? (new/used)
  8. I'll play: Older picture:
  9. He shoulda pulled the 24V and stuck it in another truck, and kept going. I'm sure he didn't have time to do that though...
  10. Has your brother taken the back off the pump and inspected the inside? And to those wondering about the drill spinning fast enough, I've built up 10 PSI using a drill with the 16 pitch pulley on the pump.
  11. That's what I used when I installed my DS-I. Seemed to explain everything pretty well.
  12. Depends on which brand of injectors you get, and your driving style. I know there's been plenty of reports of almost smokeless 7x.009 and 7x.010 sticks. Ducky Fuel Injection and Cummins Performance Parts tend to be the cleanest.
  13. Sorry I wasn't paying attention. '01 and '02 autos have the HY, so you have an HX.
  14. HY35 can hit whatever boost you want it to hit if you throw enough fuel in the mix. Some people grenade their HY at nearly 60 PSI! Most people suggest no more than 30 PSI, because beyond that, you're just pushing hot air. 35 PSI isn't hurting anything though.
  15. If you want a 7x.010" stick, then run them on the stock turbo and see how you like them. Then you can decide on a new turbo, if you still need one after running the injectors on the stocker. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5-02-performance-parts-discussion/216421-injector-myth.html
  16. The very first time I went to the dentist, I had to have a root canal! I haven't been back since. I brush as good as I can with some Neem toothpaste, and use hydrogen peroxide.

  18. We were in the upper 20's this morning. First time in a while we've gotten that cold this early in the season.
  19. It might be something that no one can repair......... Cold weather?
  20. Yes, you need a turnbuckle for the HY35. Google it for some pictures. Getting a turnbuckle is definitely worth a try. I can hit 24 PSI with the HX35, completely stock with a pinched wastegate, and a minor boost leak. (no fueling mods, no boost fooling) Just don't push that HY past 30 PSI.
  21. Wrong, sir... Stock 24V's came with a resonator and muffler. No CAT or DPF. Agreed, check the intercooler, and pay attention to the boost, so you can rule out a boost leak. When your EGT's spike, what gear are you in? How big are your "over-sized" tires?
  22. If the fuel pressure stays above 14 PSI at WOT, you're good to go.
