Now What
my honda(my 93 gasser) has always had pressure when i ran from fuel to empty(hiss) my 99 ram has never hissed that i can recall. i installed the drawstraw on my tank, but even before that, i don't recall a hiss. did you drill the hole in the cap because you had pressure?

Need Input!
use the term "shoot fuel" loosely...as mopar1973man's video shows...it won't move much fuel... http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=YREpPrMxkHU --- Update to the previous post... you can actually see that the VP44 returns more fuel at higher rpms!

lillian is a good name. my sister has it, also. i don't really enjoy the new born stage, but the 2 yr olds are a blast!

New tires!!!
for some reason i had it in my head that those mirrors had heat but not electric adjust. i could stick my hand out the drivers window, but there's no way i could reach the passenger's mirror(i can in the ranger). i like the look of those mirrors, but do not want to loose features

New tires!!!

Timing cover broken
i have read some saying that the 01 and newer doesn't have to worry about it. i read where a few people with early 99s and 00s had the new case with the step, but most 24v seem to need the fix(as well as ALL 12v).

How about a mileage increase thread
the Check Engine Light doesn't come on when you have a P0216? i thought that the CEL was suppose to kick on if you had any detectable effect on emissions. i didn't buy this truck until 07. i don't know if my VP44 or software is original, and have thought about see if there was new software. perhaps i should not get an update? does the SMARTY programmers stock setting set the timing to the "retarded" software? i would love to see that pdf file!

How about a mileage increase thread
ohh i forgot to mention that i took my muffler and resonator off and picked up 1-2 MPG. that was how i stopped getting lower than 15 empty(back b4 the humvee rims)

How about a mileage increase thread
tires and speed are the 2 biggest things on a properly maintained trucki have no chip or programmer. only what is listed in sig. and i was getting 19.6-22 with 33x12.5r16.5 on the rear. when i changed out all 4 corners for yokohama geolander ats 245x75r16(factory size) my milage dropped to 16.4-19.4i get these number running empty(but have a full ladder rack) with mostly highway at 55-60 mph

Starter contact write up
i got mine from LarryB's. http://www.fostertruck.com/dodge/ if you can't start right now and need a quick fix. you can take the wore out contact and a drill and make the slot longer. when you put it back in, put it as close to the plunger. got me around until the parts arrived and i had time to rebuild.

Having Dead pedal issues
we all like braking tires loose, right?

Compression Test
the manometer only measures blowby (ie rings and ?vacuum pump?) compression test would test rings and valves(valve seats) you could also do a leak down test with the tool and compressed air. when i first tried to find the tool, i could only find ones in the ~$100 range. i did just find this one. the stock pic looks a little shorter than the ~$50 ones i found last week, but the description says it works on Cummins 5.9 and for $15 i am going to order one on my next payday http://www.amazon.com/Diesel-Engine-Compression-Test-Adapter/dp/B000HI5AC8 isx...i'm having trouble visualizing the "T" piece. can you snap a pic?
-
Tranny/clutch/flywheel/ect.
the only thing i have read, if you are doing a rebuild, is get a billet input shaft. some of the double disk clutches need a bigger input shaft
-
Dash
i've been waiting patiently for you to post the pics. looks good, but not my wife's cup of tea. the cover doesn't restrict the passenger airbag, does it? i have been trying to decide if i am going to get a dash from salvage or a new one the is guaranteed not to crack. my dash isn't cracked...its shattered

Having Dead pedal issues
p0216 usually means your VP44 injection pump is shot check here for code definitions http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/obd2-error-codes/common-errors.htm p0460 has to due with fuel sender

HELLO and help please
the cluster or just the tach? just the tach would seem to indicate a bad cam or crank sensor. i think on our 99's the crank reads rpms and uses the cam sensor to verify, but not possitive

New One - truck stalls when moving into gear
i would think that the bigger holes would pop at the same pressure, flow more/the same amount of fuel, and close close sooner at idle because the bigger holes would flow faster, and reach the pressure at pressure at which they close faster. wouldn't just bigger holes change how it atomizes?
-
HELLO and help please
at one time i had an very slight fuel leak after the lift pump(actually between the filter can and the VP). the truck ran completely fine, but if it sat a while then it would be very hard to start(i never bled the injectors)
