Just changed my fuel filter, it was black, can't remember the last time I changed it. Fuel pressure was dropping with acceleration and boost wouldn't go much above 25psi, which it shouldn't with the fuel boss. Black granulars in the stock filter housing. Truck sits all winter and doesn't get used a whole lot in the summer, so I'm guessing there's algae. Anyone experience this? What's the best product to run? Bio Kleen? I'm going to change the filter again in a week or so and see what it looks like.

Is Quadzilla a "live data tool" or is the "live data tool" a section within the Quadzilla? ( I know beginners = real pain in rear) (edit part...adding onto post) I need a code reader and unsure what to get and at same I would like a little more power. I've been reading this thread https://mopar1973man.com/topic/11729-quadzilla-adrenaline-v2-testing/?tab=comments#comment-140263 and it seems it would work for me. But terminology and knowledge totally lacking on my part. Thanks

After all these years of service my AirDog as of today blew the fuse and drop the fuel pressure to ZERO. ISSPro Gauge lit the low pressure light just as I drove out of the yard. I shut down the engine the truck bump the starter to see if the pump comes on. Nope. Get back in the yard and check the fuse. 20 amp fuse blew. With it in the shop now I replaced the fuse and just bumped the starter. The pump came on and sounded rather rough. Lasted about 60 second and went quiet with a snap under the hood. Fuse blew again. I've already call Pureflow to see if I can get parts and it might be difficult being the serial number tag fell off long ago. I'm going to see if I can repair …

Go all the way to McCall RV Park in McCall Idaho from my home in Grass Valley, Ca and I still get calls from a friend whos 01 Dodge sounds like it lost a VP44. Problem is he’s in Olympia Washington on a trip with his Travel Trailer also. Seems he installed a Air Dog some years ago but did not install a fuel pressure gauge to monitor it. He called me this afternoon and said it’s bucking and surging and has no power. Has a check engine light on and a p0216 fault code so I looked it up for him since he has no smart phone or laptop with him. Called him on my cell and gave him the bad news. Guess I’m going to be installing a gauge for him after we both get back home.

Finally I have something to post about. I haven't had any issues so I've been lurking. Sadly this could be an expensive one? Let us discuss... Today I'm out driving to an appointment, all is well. Take a right hand turn and hear a loud bang, more-so a metal clunk (almost sounded like a u-joint snapped on the driveshaft). I immediately notice a slightly odd idle at the next stop light. Go about another block after I make the turn and the truck starts bucking/limping, practically no power. I noticed a little bit of white smoke out the exhaust when under load (but not idling). Made it off the road into a parking lot and I'm thinking textbook bad VP44. D…

Let me start by saying the tranny is new along with new valair clutch and hydraulics in a 99 ram 3500 with NV4500. Had local shop install everything and all was good for about 3 weeks. Now for some reason the tranny has issues with 3rd and 4th gears. There are times I shift through all 5 gears with just a little forcing but there are times it'll hang in 3rd are 4th gear. Before the major issues I noticed at times from a stop I would have to cycle to fourth before I could get into 2nd. I am at loss because it work so smoothly for the first couple of weeks. I have spoke to the tranny builders and Valair and of course each of them blames the other's product. The truck…

I noticed smoke coming from engine bay and it was coming from ground cable from passenger side battery negative post that connects to body. It was extremely hot and was smoking. Truck started and ran fine yesterday. Really need my truck back up and running, please help! Tim

Hey guys, I figured I'd post to see what you all thought. At completely stock power or with the edge comp all the way up, stock injectors and turbo or aftermarket, it doesn't matter, the truck will die after a hard pull if you take your foot off the pedal. It won't drop back to idle like it should. If you keep your foot on the pedal just a little bit for a couple seconds, it recovers and all is well. It sounds like it's running out of fuel. The airdog never drops below 12psi. The vp has about 3000k on it. It did it with the old vp too. I'd like to understand why if possible. Thanks.

Looking to upgrade over the rv275's that are in the truck currently if possible, not sure if I have the proper supporting mods to use upgraded injectors if I do. So heres the list, -quadzilla xzt -fass 95 -bhaf -4" turbo back -hx35 w/ ww2 (don't waste money on this wheel) -3 piece manifold would I be safe upgrading to 50 or 75hp injectors? Or would it be a safer bet just to stay where I'm at? I'm only looking to upgrade because what I have now are starting to haze.

Hey guys, did a little searching online and found this website. Maybe someone on here can help. Lately my truck has been making a hissing sound coming from somewhere around the sending unit/fuel lines. When it hisses, the truck cranks over about 10 seconds before it starts, like it's not getting any fuel. The airdog always runs 15 psi. The truck will always start right up within about 15 minutes of shutting it off. But if I let it sit for a few hours, it may or may not start right up. It also seems like this hissing sounds is related to starting. More of a hiss, the harder the start. Maybe I'm thinking too far into it. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Alright, so I just put a set of DAP 7x10 SAC injectors in my 2001. It is a pretty stock truck IMO. Any advice on tuning? I’m trying to cut down on the smoke and avoid having to put around at next to no throttle. Truck is a 6 speed, only mods are raptor lift pump, BHAF, 4” straight exhaust, the injectors, and a quadzilla with iQuad. If I give it more than est. 15-20% throttle, it smokes like crazy. I think I can tune most of that out, and hopefully get some more power out of it. EGTs are below 750 cruising and the stock HX seems to be doing its job. Any help on where to start would be much appreciated.

This article was created to shed some light on the facts for tuners on a VP44 Cummins. Here is a quck list of features for various tuners so you can compare. The $K / Redline /TST PMCE are not included as they are a special breed of tuner that people run for a specific reason. Not all tuners are equal and there are a lot of opinions as to "what is best" Use this to figure out what is best for you and your truck.
