Ok - so you know I hate showing my "jr badge" ..... but 65 mph - start to get a shake in the truck front end. Can't feel in steering wheel.Only thing I notice at front end is the inside edge of the tread is definately wearing quicker. Can these 4x4 be balanced, aligned etc ?? Assuming balancing yes ...... alignment other ? Have newish shocks and springs - but they all look/ride ok.

The main issue with OEM crankcase vent is it is nothing more than a piece of hose mounted to the front of the gear case. The piece of hose elbows over the case and points down towards the ground. There are two versions of this crankcase. One involves a drip bottle mounted on the end of the hose and the other does not. A Technical Service Bulleting (TSB) was released on this issue as well: TSB (09-002-02 Crankcase Breather Overflow). This bulletin warns of potential of extreme loss of oil from a truck descending at to steep of a slope while off-roading. During this loss of oil, oil also has been known to scatter all over the engine and radiator. This scattering of oil c…

Currently have all fuel lines removed from fuel tank to VP44. The lines that are inside the fuel module are 3/8 in size (about 8 inches worth)? All other lines to VP44 are ½ inch. So just the line inside the fuel module are 3/8. Before I took the Air dog pump off , was at 21psi at idle using Vulcan pressure gauge. Unsure about fuel PSI in actual use, just at idle, before I took it apart . (Also going to install pressure gauge) How much do you think or guess a 8 inches of 3/8 line inside fuel module will affect PSI at VP44. The reason I don't want to change out smaller fitting now is because the fitting in top on module has been glued in and…

It broke down on me today, was going down the highway, it started to lose power and white/blue smoke real bad (not sure what i was more concerned about getting off the 4 lane highway i was on than paying attention to the smoke lol) then before i could get pulled over it died and would not restart. No codes with the key trick, had it towed to a well trusted shop and theyre gonna get to it first thing in the morning, i was headed to a doc appt and didnt have time. Not to mention with my schedule here lately i wouldnt have time to work on it of i wanted to. We'll see tomorrow i guess.-Jordan-

Several days ago, my truck died while cruising at 60mph. There was no warning, pops, knocks, or clunks. The rpms dropped to idle then a few seconds later dropped to zero. Truck had full power until it died. Fuel pressure is good. Only throwing the p1693 code.I believe it to be a ground issue. The truck radio lost memory after sitting overnight and turned the am radio on. I'm looking for wire diagrams or someone who has maybe had a similar issue or any ideas. Anything will help!

Hi everyone I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 and I am at a loss. This all started as a simple lift pump install and I put a fass 150 on and it went south from there and replaced the pcm and checked all the pdc fuses and relays. The only code i get is the p0232 and I’ve checked the voltage on the fuel shut off and I got nothing. I’ve replaced the fuel relay and I’ve noticed if you barely even touch it it starts clicking there and at the vp44. I bypassed the lift pump and the vp before and it ran fine so I don’t think it’s my vp. I’m just tired of running from one thing to another. Anything helps thanks in advance. Also got the p0230 code once but hasn’t came back

looking for advice from anyone who has done a cad delete and free spin kit. Who did you go through? EMS is the only place I have found that offers a 32 spline delete kit for the 00-02 Dana 60. What do you do to have 4wd indication (dash light) after delete? Leaning towards Spyntec shorties anyone have first hand experience? I’m going to have the front end apart to replace ball joints and I’m seriously contemplating on cad delete and free spins. Huge chunk of $ I know but I may just do it. Also axle seals hear they’re a real pain? Any advice would be very much appreciated

Last night grabbing mail across the road before going up the drive the truck revved and died. No cel rough running or any weird issues besides an extra second or two of crank time while attempting to start over the last week. At this point it is scheduled to be towed to my mechanic on Friday he can't get to it till next week Wednesday, and I need wheels and the pump will have to be ordered. So how do I diagnose a failed injection pump to help speed things along and order a new one if needs be? Currently I'm in a no start situation with no cel's.

2 weeks ago, had the fuel man out to fill our on-farm storage diesel with 50% #1 and #2 fuel. Thanks to a nice arctic blast, (lows about -10) most of my tractors are 'dead'. geez, another batch of crap came up the pipeline, ALL my neighbors are pulling their hair out too..I have an inline screen before the lift pump, that is easily taken apart and cleaned... It's actually a sprayer suction screen and has about a pint of capacity. It was totally full of slush, I cleaned it out and put in a jug of '911' I hate using it, but hungry cows take precedence!! Today, fuel …

I have a 2002 Dodge 2500 w/ approx 135000 mi. the injection pump was replaced by a dealer when the truck had 98000 mi. The truck sat idle for about three weeks and when I went to start it the batts were very weak, turned over twice and went dead. I charged the batts, cleaned the terminals, but the engine would just spin. The lift pump is working, and there is fuel in the tank. I also changed the fuel filter and drained the water separator. Still, no start! Help!!!

I have searched the forum hoping some one else has had this problem but can't find one (4x4 01 3500). I replaced my u-joints that are connected to the front axles about a month ago because I found them loose when doing some maintenance on the truck. Put about 500 miles on it scene then and about a week ago I had a fast vibration on the truck. At first I thought I was on the shoulder of the road and was hitting a Rolled-in rumble strip, but I did not see any rumble strip in the road. It happens when i am going above 40mph and it will last for about 3-5 seconds and seems to get started when i hit a bump or a recess in the road. I live in Newport Oregon and commute on Hwy 10…

Hello Everyone So my truck has developed a new issue this past weekend. Heading home from the mountains I was cruising at about 75 in 5th gear. Pulled out to a pass a truck and began to accelerate. Let off for a second and the transmission began to make a clunking/knocking ticking sound. Kind of sounds like the teeth are slipping past each other or not meshing correctly. Only happens in 5th all other gears seem fine. I'm thinking I either lost some teeth on a gear or the shift fork/pins brake and its not engaging the gear all the way. Anybody experience anything similar? Finally do I have to pull the transmission to change out the overdrive gears if th…

This thread may not be in the right area, and I apologize ahead of time if it is? I have not heard of this problem on the board before but here goes,I live in Michigan and sometimes it gets quite cold up here, when my truck (200 CTD 2 wd) sits outside at work in the cold (it was 6* F today) and I start the truck I get a terrible growl from the power steering system. The noise seems to be from the fluid being to cold/thick?. Is this a common problem? Is there a thinner power steering fluid available? This afternoon I started the truck and let it idle for 1/2 hr before leaving work to try and warm the oil some to no avail.....The darn thing growled all the way home, 6 miles…

I have a Isspro mechanical fuel gauge in my truck. I never got around to hooking up the light for the gauge. I very rarely drive the truck at night. The question I have is..there are two prongs on the back of the gauge. Does it matter which one is the hot and which one is the ground? Neither of them are marked with a + or - sign. Also, I am wondering if you guys have had good luck using "add-a-fuse" connectors? FP gauge is the only after market electrical accessory I have on the truck. I was thinking of using the add a fuse connectors to get a power source out of the panel. Wondering if you guys have had good success using those?Or if I should use another way to…

I have always seen this little light on the knee panel but it havr never been on so never really looked into it. After I changed my batteries on Saturday that light is always flashing when the truck is off.i kinda looked in to it today and that light runs to a keyless entry box under the steering wheel. Did these trucks come with keyless entry? If they did how do I shut that light off. On a plus side the doors don't lock on startup anymore also I did pull the box down if doesn't have any name on it.
