My boost elbow threads are loose enough it's tightening up while I drive.... I went to do some testing and saw the drive pressure spike to over 110psi. Needless to say I'd like to make sure it stays in place! Ideas? I've got a couple of my own but I'd like to hear you guys' first.

Truck runs great but when I go WOT it just feels like it runs out of power on the top end. I have the wastegate at ~40Psi and drive pressure will hit ~55-60psi at WOT. Truck just kind of dulls out at anything 80+mph. Is this symptoms of valve float? Truck does have stock springs in it and I know I’m already ordering some new ones since it needs them anyways just hadn’t gotten around to it yet. I have 3.54 gears so I’m not reving the truck out as I only see roughly 2000rpm while going 70 in od

Man, I tell ya, something is gong awry. I done alot to get my truck into excellent running condition. The truck practically is "brand new". The list is long with what I have done to the truck. The most extreme of things I have not yet done are replacing the vp44, tps, turbo, etc.Over the course of a few monhs, my mileage has dropped significantly. I was averaging about 18-20 mpg right after I replaced my injectors. But now, my mileage has dipped down to as low as 14mpg on avg!I don't understand what this could be stemming from? I have not noticed any drastic change in performance in the truck and have not had a CEL. Granted, I can scan for codes tomorrow and check just to…

  4. Hello all I am back! First let me state that I triple checked all of my work. No codes are being thrown at the moment. Continuing....I just finished the ground wire mod and I am still getting high readings of .062 at idle and nearing .10 with throttle applied (using a Fluke 87-V). Unfortunately, I do not remember my initial readings as the truck has been sitting for a short while but I know they were similar to what I am seeing now. I know of the "second phase" I'd guess you call it with the W-T Mod....new charge wire from aux. battery to alternator (with a fusible link, fuse, circuit breaker, etc.) and adding an extra connection from main batte…

  5. Hi there guys. A couple days ago I was driving down the highway and the ABS and brake light came on. Wasn't sure if it was anything big so I pulled over and shut truck off, restarted and lights were off. I asked someone and they said it was common and no big deal. Now, last night both came on, won't go off and now my speedometer wasnt working at low speeds in town but then when I would get to 45mph or so it would jump up and when I would slow down, it would drop to zero again. Is this an issue with the batteries or something bigger or are they separate problems? I have the 99 and no code reader so just trying to figure it out! I did have brakes changed about a mont…

hello everyone, I've just pulled my pipeline rig out of storage. ( 01 3500 dually with 6 speed manual ) and noticed good sized puddle of gear lube under flywheel while it was running parked out side of discount tire. Do these things seal them self's back up after running for a while ? or should I start looking for a shop ? Thnx Bill

I replaced my vp-44 a couple years ago, and had my ecm rebuilt .Since then my mileage has dropped over 2 M.P.G. ,I had never had my ecm reflashed until last month. I was hopping my mileage would improve but it didn't. I don't have any issues with starting or the way it runs. I was thinking about getting a Edge Comp box.I already have a B.D. pump cover with the tap wire, but never did get a performance box. Here's my mileage # city now 12.5 M.P.G. highway 16.8 M.P.G.. Previously I got 14.5 M.P.G. city and over 20 on the highway .I've got 20# of boost at wide open throttle and no or very little black smoke . Exhaust temps never get above 1200 deg. I was considering …

Howdy guys. Got a problem with the old dodge that is finally bugging me enough to do something about. I am having a hard time with the clutch letting go when it's supposed to. It's not hanging up enough to push me forward when stopped but it's making shifting a real pain. I can also feel the transmission still trying to turn when coming to a stop. Still drive able but becoming a real pain. Some facts about my clutch. It is in my 2001 ram with the NV5600. I replaced the entire hydraulics system with a high pressure system from Valair about 3 years ago. No leaks anywhere that I can see. The clutch disc, pressure plate, pilot bearing, and throw out bearing were all rep…

Hey guys, So I'm back to work after a knee injury, and I walked out of Wawa and saw green coolant under the truck. After some quick diagnosis I determined the radiator is leaking from the crimp joint on the driver's side. I know a new radiator is in my future, but what about the rest of the Cooling System. I'm talking about the baby hoses on the passenger side that run under the turbo charger, the heat exchanger etc. I'm not 100% sure how far I want to go, but I have a water pump on the shelf, and a new belt. I might as well swap out other stuff that looks like it will be on its way. When I got the truck the coolant we…

  10. I am stuck trying to figure out which one to get for my truck.. I have read and read. all I hear is bad things about the Raptor pumps, I have read bad things about the FASS direct replacement pump, I have read good and bad about the Fuel Boss, I haven't heard anything about the BD lift pump, but they don't even have a good description about their own pump. I am looking to do this in a costly manor. I cant throw down the coin for the fuel boss. don't know which way to do with this. I know I am bringing up a topic that has been brought up and talked about over and over. I just know that I don't know the condition of my factory lift pump. or when it has been replaced.. I am…

Will the apps off a auto work on a standard? And are the injectors out of a auto the same as in a standard? Both are 01 SO motors.

  12. Here is my deal, My truck was running fine then just died sort of felt like it jumped out of gear but that could of been the loss of power. Refire run really rough only idle no foot feet response. Now doesn't start at all. So what I have learned so far is pump must of went.So my truck is a 99 but I have a pump on a 2001 motor is it the same? I sort of want to be sure I'm 600 miles from the 01 pump and don't want to rent a car and drive that far if it might not work. Thanks

As the title states. My 47re actually shifts a lot smoother when it’s cold. The shifts can be quite hard once its warmed up especially in light throttle conditions. I’ve tried google but can’t find anyone with a similar issue.. I have a suncoast triple disk, dynamic VB, and all the billet stuff. Other than the trans everything else on the truck is stock.

My truck is a early 1998.5. It dont have a vent tube in the front of the engine (puke bottle) is this common on the first 24 v?

  15. I read a while back somewheres that there's a resister you can put in to allow for higher trans pressure from aftermarket valve body and torque. Does anyone know where I can get one and instructions for install? Thanks, Donald

I’m thinking I’d like a lockup switch but I also want the option of having fully factory operation for when my wife or some other unsuspecting person drives my truck. I’m thinking factory/unlocked/locked. Is it possible? How would one go about wiring that up? Reason I want a switch is my triple disk converter seems to lockup to early for my engine. (All stock engine/tuning with exception to trans goodies from dynamic and the triple disk TC) It severely barks the turbo sometimes if I’m into the throttle enough or if I’m really light on the pedal it will actually lock and then immediately unlock almost as if it quickly realizes it’s too soon. This h…

  19. Well today I was pulling a .. Ahem.. JETSKI out of the lake and for the life of me I could not gain traction. Pretty rediculous. Finally I used the ebrake trick to ease it out. Cmon though, a jetski! Anyway my truck performance add-ons are listed below. My question is, you think just tires are my problem? If so what are some good tires I can put on my 16" stock wheels? Or, if tires aren't it, other suggestions?
