Recently lost my 3rd Raptor 100.Pure Flow was very workable and sent me the upgraded version of the AirDog 150 (an industrial version of it) and so far everything is hooking up nicely. Did have to run a "vapor return" line to the fuel tank but that was not difficult. Now I was getting ready to do the electricals and come to find that the wiring harness from the AD 150 appears identical to the Raptor 100 version.Anyone done this upgrade and seen the same thing? The relay is the same, fuse the same and hookups, as far as I can see, are the same. Cannot see any reason to un-do everything from the old installation and string new wire, relay and so on unless its something diffe…

Hi guys, New VP44 installed a week ago. I also have the raptor 100 mounted in the stock location with stork fuel lines. The pressure is dropping about 4-5 psi at wot and about 1.5-2 psi at cruising speed. I'm trying to avoid another vp44 replacement.....ever :banghead:. Would a vulcan big line kit be beneficial to me to help keep the pressure up? Thanks in advance for all replies, and thanks for the wealth of knowledge on this site. 2002 Ram 25005.9 Cummins

  3. Ok y'all.I'll try to get to the point, I'm on a 5,000 mile RV trip (to my wedding, in N. Idaho from Texas), now I'm on my honeymoon, on my way back to Texas broke down in Gillette Wyo. Here is what happened. I was driving I-90 E. Relativity flat rolling hills. I have been watching all my gauges like a hawk. My fuel gauge vibrates and always has when I drive but not at idle. So I am driving at about 60 - 65 mph, 15 psi fuel pressure (normal) I see my gauge go... 15- 5 - 15 - 5 -15 - 0 - 0 - 0... I pull over in the matter of less than a minute. Pull over, shut her down. BUMP the starter, NO Raptor noise for 20 - 30 seconds like normal. Did this several times. Not ev…

I have all the parts and pieces to install my Raptor and 1/2" fuel line. I will post some pictures as I go along. I am using the stock fuel filter but am also installing a remote fuel filter(Carquest 86353) and water seperator(86439). I have a short box so room is limited under the truck and I am looking at installing the filters and then the fuel pump. Other than when I change filters, possible having air in the system and having to bleed it out, does anyone know of any problem with doing it this way? I can put the fuel pump first, but it will take a little more engineering. Also one advantage I can see is that the fuel will be filtered before the pump, which may h…

I purchased a FPPR, some 1/2" fuel line and some fittings. I have a fuel filter and water seperator housing so I should be pretty close to installing it. The only two things left is a draw straw and how I will hook into the VP. My question is should I look into a larger return line or will the factory line give me enough flow to keep up with the new set-up?

I have decided that all I need for my almost stock truck (injector upgrade before I got it) is a replacement aftermarket lift pump like a FASS or Raptor. I read some good and some bad about both.. Any opinions about which one would be the best way to go?I have a motor mounted pump on my 2001 and I am told I wouldn't need a draw straw. Would everyone agree with that?I also plan to put a big line kit all the way from the tank to the VP44 and a pre-filter before the pump. Thanks in advance for any opinions or advice.

i changed the 15 psi spring out for the 17 psi spring and it worked great, then i went back and put the 15 psi spring back in and the regulator which is on pump snd there is no pressure but the pump does run when bumped. is there something under the ring that the spring sits on that i could have misaligned?

my raptor fuel pump stopped putting pressure out about 3weeks ago. the motor runs fine but no fuel pressure is read from mechanical and electrical gauge. checked voltage and it is good at 8.5 volts without starting it. the motor turns and there is no suction on inlet. so i told airdog about it and they shipped me a new one. i just installed it, and there is no suction. it will not prime. 2 spinning pumps, so what the heck am i doing wrong?

  9. Ok so i have a problem with my raptor fuel pump.I've had it for about a year and when i got it i got 3/8 lines. and i would see about a 5-7 psi drop with ds2.Now i just upgraded to all 1/2 lines including from ff to ip and a draw straw 5 and at 30psi fp i can get it down to about 4.(I know 30 is high but i set it there to see how low i could get it with out running to 0)I replaced the ff and checked/tightened all fittings. What could it be?Its driving me crazy. The only thing i can possibly think it could be is the "Straw" at the bottom of the module. When i installed it it seemed like it was a little close to the bottom with not much of a "Slash cut" to it.Could that being…

Have been gradually losing fuel pressure, adjustment screw didn't help, so figured maybe filters needed changed. No difference! Tried to call pure flow, left some messages but no one called me back. I finally got ahold of someone yesterday, (no call back cause they were getting ready for big diesel event) anyway, he told me to check inlet screen and get serial #. I was a little concerned as I thought warranty was 1 year. Screen was clean so called back today. Dummy me, never sent in warranty card! They said "no problem"! Used serial # to find date of manufacture, and fortunately pump has 2 year warranty. They're sending me a new pump today! YeHa! Hope this isn't a y…

  11. Hello all. decided to go ahead and post before i get kicked off. I have 2001 5 speed. just bought truck and already had a few mods. previous owner said it had a south bend clutch. My question is, when i push clutch in i get a loud rattle. I'm pretty sure its goin out but would like to know b 4 i buy a new clutch. My buddy said his rattles when his lets out. He has same model year and south bend. It will grid/engage when try to put into reverse also. Clutch holds pretty good under load, slips a little when get the boost up high. Any input would be helpful. Thanks

How long do you have to keep the batteries disconnected to drain the computer, in order to reboot? I need it to be rebooted so that it will shift out of 1st gear (automatic trans) without removing the relay & manually shifting only giving me 2nd, & 3rd gears.

  14. Cliff notes for Raptor 100 and Autometer fuel pressure sending unit and snubber install, just in case I screwed something up along the way I’ll thoroughly explain, main questions will be in bold font to make easier to read (I hope): FP Sender - Removed lines going in and out of filter housing (½” ID 35psi fuel/emissions hose from Goodyear, worm gear hose clamp attaches over male fittings). Removed old fp sender which was smutted into filter drain valve and fitting. Reinstalled fitting with additional sealing washer (per Autometer) to index port at an angle away from drain tube, installed new sender and snubber. Bolted filter back into place and reattached hose from f…

  15. For the unlucky few who may have a dud air dog or fass laying around, (as in bad motor or wore out pump)... re-use just the filter/air separation part as part of a belt driven system? Seems like everything is self contained/sourced. your water/air separation, regulator.... just remove the motor and gut the pump, block off/seal and presto? (ok, would have to move it downstream of the belt driven pump).. I've bled out my eyes reading hundreds of posts over on CF about the dtt guy promising a cheap diy 'kit'.... which eventually ended up as his ' COMPLETE' setup. He drew me in with 'che…

I am moving to California at the end of June and think maybe I don’t want to test the DDRP for the 1200 mile trip towing. I am trying to figure out which system makes the most sense, and if it comes with everything needed for the install. This truck is stock except edge comp (not tapped currently due to not having a fuel system). It will never see more than a 75-100hp injector (assuming I can do anything in the people’s republic of California) Fass, airdog, or?.. which model and why? what do I need in addition to the system for install? Hoping to not have to drop the tank before I go as I am running out of time. i apprec…

01 Cummins with 300k, I got a p1762 and a p1763 code. Replaced all solenoids internal on the transmission.(haven't touch the internal wiring yet) Ground is good, ran a jumper wire and by passed the pcm, made no change, 5volt line on data says it's stuck at 4.98 but doesn't show any v coming out of the pcm to the transmission, all grounds check out with a it break out box. Pickup is stuck in 3rd year with 108 gov press psi at idle and gov pr duty cyc is at 1, when you press the od switch, it's saying pressed but it turns right back off on snap on scanner. I can see life data and I have ran all relay test I am think of. Pcm has 12v coming in, ECM does also. Batteries…

Does anyone know of a set of airbags that will work on a 99 2500 4wd that mount over the axle not the leaf springs (so I can keep my over loads) and they need to work with a goose neck or fifth wheel mount.
