I was wondering if someone can help me figure out my truck. Sometimes when I start it up and drive it, it drives like a brand new truck. Sometimes I start it up and drive it, it's a dog. I can't figure out what's causing the problem. Fuel pressure is always the same. 19psi running and 16psi driving. All other gauges are in normal range.

Good Evening, I am wondering if anyone can tell me how they like the ATS copilot on there truck and how you basically use it towing? ATS website doesn't really go in depth about it. The 3500 in question I am thinking of adding the copilot to has a recently built Suncoast transmission with billet input, flexplate and Dynamic transmissions hauling valve body. Trying to see if it is actually worth getting and trying it for my company for towing purposes. I also ran into some posts on Firepunk Anteater. Does anyone have any input or have one that can share some input on it? Thanks for your time, Steve

So I have been experiencing a gnarly vibration coming from somewhere in the drivetrain. The slip yoke into the transmission and the entire driveshaft is brand new so I'm inclined to rule them out. Nevertheless I inspected them and the u joints as I removed them and did not find any slop anywhere. Once I had the driveshaft off I noticed that the pinion had quite a bit of play both in rotation and in-n-out movement. I decided to tear down the pumpkin just to see what it looks like in there (I'm planning on changing gearsets in the next few months and thought exploring a bit in there couldn't hurt). So I'm pulling the trigger on ordering a VP44. I got dead pedal 3 times yesterday and have had enough of that. I'm planning on getting it from DAP. Does anyone have any pluses or minuses about this or any other suggestions? I figured this would happen as my brother's ignorance with the VP44 is probably what lead to its premature death. With 2 stock lift pumps in it with no TCW3 and more than likely constant low pressure sound like a death sentence. He also used if for towing 2 to 3 horses and very little non towing. The silvermoose had a very demanding first 60k miles. This is going to be one expensive week. My tires will be getting replaced …

2001 24v auto 47re truck seems to not want to shift into overdrive untill 55+ mph at light throttle. Wondering what other people experience with their trucks. I have 36" tires and 3.55 gears but my speedo is only 2mph fast verified with gps. It will shift most times at 57mph on the speedo and 55mph shown on my scanner reading the VSS. From what I've researched overdrive is controlled by PCM once the apps, trans temp, output speed sensor parameters have been verified and not by the adjustment of the tv cable or fluid pressure. What do you guys think...have Vulcan fuel pressure test gauge. It goes zero to 30 psi. I want to test my 5.4 gas fuel pump. Looking for 20 thru 40 psi. Will gauge break if it goes or (max) 30 psi or will gauge just top out. And I assume vulcans test gauge doesn't care if diesel or gas?

Well haven't been on here for a couple years. My old 2002 24v 6 speed's life came to an end and mine almost did as well. Was Sept of 2016 and I was coming home from fishing. Was about 9:30pm. I was traveling below the speed limit by about 5km/hr. Speed limit is 100km/hr (approx 60mph). I noticed a truck was really wanting to pass. So I was driving along then out of no where Big Canadian Mr Moose comes trotting out. I had a split second to figure out what to do. Either hit him and maybe have him come through windshield and kill me or go around him and almost certain roll my truck because of the non existant shoulders of the road and steep banks. Hey old pals! It’s been a long time since I posted! So after I fixed the air leak in the fuel line the truck ran perfect up until about 3 weeks ago. This happens with both warm and cold starts but mostly when warm. I turn the key start it and it willsputter a little bit and clear up on its own within 6 or 8 seconds. No check engine lights and everything else is working well. Any suggestions? My thoughts are something with injectors or another air leak. Currently getting 18.5 mpg. Thanks fellas!

I've had an issue with my truck never shifting properly, but I never really addressed it until now because I had always assumed it was the stock trans that was on its way out and was in need of adjustment. However, since I installed a brand new revmax last week and the truck shifts exactly like the stock one did, I've been chasing down issues to source this problem. What the truck is doing: -Only starting in 1st from a complete stop. When I first got the truck, there was a lot of black smoke coming out the tail pipe, more or less all of the time. I changed the fuel filter and most of it stopped (I don't think it had ever been changed), but perhaps that is coincidental. Now I get quite a bit of black smoke when I step on it. I also put in a fuel pressure gague and the fuel pressure is running about 12-13 at idol and can drop well below 5 when I put the hammer down. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great!

Hey guys, My 2000 Dodge has an ATS built auto that was installed about 70,000 miles ago. It also has the ATS tripleloc commander. This device, when turned on, will lock the torque converter based on speed. It has ⬆️⬇️ Buttons to change the speed and which it locks. The problem (or what I don’t like about the setup) is the factory logic will still lockup the converter when it wants to. For example: driving around town I don’t want the converter locking because it is pretty harsh and jerky, so I hit the up button on the ats commander and it won’t call for lockup until 45mph, but the factory computer calls for lockup at about 33 mph. I have 98 ram 2500 5.9 24v cummins. Very new to diesels. I have no tachometer and rough downshift between 20-30 mph. I replaced tps. Cam .crank sensors. Really getting frustrated now. I have new ecm. New pcm. Please help. I have tons of money I to this truck I love it but always fix g it and don't know a lot about them . I'm getting codes for crank sensor and tps . Also my a/c blower loses power sometimes not sure if it has a short or what but I been on Google for weeks and just started forum for fist time I'm lost when come to electrical . Thank you.

Still getting to know my new to me ‘99 3500 and looked in the bellhousing inspection window today since the previous owner said it had a billet converter. Sure enough it did, but can’t tell what brand it is. It’s painted blue and I didn’t see a drain on it. No identifying marks. Does anyone have a guess as to who made it?

Hey guys I am doing the south bend dual dish 3250-5K-ORG with the 1-3/8” input shaft upgrade as well as the 5th gear retaining nut upgrade. I am all the way to the clutch for and the throw out bearing step. I read the directions and it said to replace the clutch fork with the one supplied in the kit. However it is poor quality compared to the OEM one. Will I have issues if I do not use the south bend one? I’m looking for an education on this because to me these parts look very similar.

My truck has started missing again replaced the injectors thought it was fixed. Now has a miss between 1100 and1200 RPM no load. Hàve checked the Ac noise, cleaned the grounds, removed the vanaken tuner. Have a cam sensor haven't installed it yet. Don't know where to go from here, this has been going on for a while now. No codes, any help would be appreciated. It is a 1998.5 basically stock fass DDRP 15 to 17 lbs constant

I have a 2001 Dodge 2500 Cummins, long story short swapped out the engine, (it's not a good thing when you suck valves down into the cylinders) an engine from a 2001 Freightliner Step Van that I put in my Dodge and now I can't get the tach to work more than 30 seconds approximately. I have tried 3 different camshaft sensors. It runs but doesn't have the power it should. Been working on this truck off and on for over a year. Frustrated in Denver.
