Hi All, I changed the resistors in my HVAC system and solved the fan speed issue. I decided to change the fan/motor as well and now there is no air coming out of the dash or floor vents only out of the defrost vents by the windshield. Any ideas are welcome.

Noticed a big puddle under my truck this morning. I know it’s coolant because it was low and on my way to pickup hay the cab was filling with steam. And the carpet is wet on the passenger side. I’m assuming heater core but heard that it leaks in the cab not out. I took a video of somewhere that seems to be leaking but maybe it’s just dripping down from there? Also looks like maybe a something attached there and fell off? I’m not too sure, any help is appreciated. I already bought a new heater core because I figured I should replace it because I’ve done everything else in the coolant system, heat and A/C. FullSizeRender.mov

Manual Air Recirculation Control The HVAC control in a 1999-2002 2ed generation Ram only has the ability to recirculate air when either the controller is in the OFF or MAX A/C. In all other positions outside air is entering the cab interior. This modification will give you the ability to either have the air recirculation controlled by the factory HVAC controller or have the system in recirculation in any position. How it works The black hose supplies the vacuum to the HVAC system. The green hose supplies vacuum from the HVAC controller to the recirculation actuator. When the mode knob is in the OFF or MAX A/C positions vacuum is applied to the …

I cannot locate in the FSM what the stock ride height should be, and by that I mean from frame to axle as that won't change with tire size. Can someone out there measure for me, or know what it's supposed to be? The previous owner had a snow plow on this truck, had 36k pound tags, and clearly used the gooseneck a LOT. I have tight suspension and recently had an alignment done, but the truck still drives weird. My frame to axle dimensions are different from passenger to driver's side. Considering a new set of front springs, but open to suggestions. I have not checked the rubber isolator in the last 50k miles, but was there when I changed the shocks - obviously …

My new set of pads and rotors are being particularly recalcitrant, spent nearly 2 hours trying to bleed and still not quite right. I did rebuild the calipers with new seals and pistons and it was fairly clean inside. A touch of grease and the new stuff was in with no issues and no leaks. I had never rebuilt calipers before, is that maybe at fault? Went through a big bottle of brake fluid. Did a gravity bleed, had someone help me power bleed (both using a version of Mopar1973Mans pickle jar), tried bedding the new pads and rotors. Went several more rounds after the new fluid hit and bubbles were gone. Still can push the pedal to the floor without too much fuss…

Keeping in mind that mine are severly faded stock lens's with stock halogen bulbs, I think we all know how pathetic and dangerous that combo is! I started off with machine polishing with meguires #2 mirror glaze fine cut cleaner, about a 10 min.job, then c…

Had a couple frosty mornings out here the past 2 days and noticed the wipers started real slow. Today I leave in a drizzle and no wipers at all. So I figure the wiper motor is shot. Have open it up and make sure the linkage is not bound up and if not it is new wiper motor time. Anything else I should look at that anyone knows?

So recently my dad decided he wanted an LED light strip on his dodge 1500 so he bought 2 of them. One for him and one for me for installing his. I got them both installed and have to say I like them. I am always concerned about other drivers not seeing me and rear ending me (it's happened before) so what the heck right. The LED strips he bought are 60" and have 3 rows of lights, red for tails, yellow sequential for turns and white for reverse lights. They're pretty bright in all stages. I'll attach a few pics to show you. The first one is the tails but in daylight, they're much brighter at night. The second is the reverse lights, very bright plus t…

Not sure if this is where this should be but has anyone managed to get the light on the mirror to work as a marker light as well as a blinker? :Seen it done on 4th gens with a kit but can’t get it to work on my 2nd gen. Have gotten my blinkers to blink opposite of each other (when ones off the other is on) but that is as close as I’ve been able to get. I’ve added a picture to show mirror and light that I’m talking about. This is also my first post so if there’s somewhere else this should be or if anything else is wrong, that info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, here is my issue, I recently wrecked my 2002 Ram 2500 H.O. 6 speed and totaled it out. It only has 97,000 miles so I purchased a 1999 3500 with Cummins and an auto tranny to put my motor and transmission in. I have completed the engine and transmission swap and all is well....almost. The cruise will no longer work, the light won’t even come on in the dash. It worked on both trucks before the swap. Here’s another known problem, the 1999 truck had the vacuum actuator under the driver’s side battery for the cc and the 2002 cruise control is all electronic controlled. I used the pcm and ecm from the 2002 so I didn’t hook the vacuum actuator up as the 2002 di…

I ordered a Firestone air spring kit for my truck, installation appears pretty straight forward. I had a question about the air hose routing though. I got the optional "T" fitting as I mostly need the kit for leveling while pulling a trailer. I want to mount the schrader valve near my tool box on the passenger side of the truck close to my compressor for quick easy filling. Will it matter that the air lines from the bags to the "T" are different lengths or do I need to have them equal with a central meeting point?

I have a question for anyone that might come across this that has the T -stearing linkage/tie rods on their truck. Any experience with the "Thuren alignment specs" ? Very specific that you have t-style linkage or disregard spec's, 0.0 - 0.05 toe and 3.8 - 4.2 caster, I believe the emphasis is on the 0.0 toe? Just had it aligned and NOT happy with factory spec's, always holding the steering wheel to one side or the other, back and forth, back and forth... Anyone know a good alignment shop in Boise/treasure valley area? Thanks!

So in preparation for winter I've been checking and testing some things to avoid issues in the cold. It has been cool enough for the grids to cycle so I thought I would test a bit to avoid later issues. I checked for voltage at the grid heaters in the intake horn. I had 10.33v DC. That didn't sound right, why not 12+ volts so I checked at the battery- 12.5 volts (engine not running). Checked at the hot side of both relays-12.5 volts. Then checked grid side of relays-10.33 volts. I'm going to assume this voltage drop at the relays is not normal or acceptable? Is this showing the contacts being worn and or cruddy inside the relay? Time to replace? T…

This morning, I was in the drive through to pick up a coffee. I shut truck off so they could hear me through the intercom, and then turned truck on and waited in line. I could hear the grids turning off and on like normal. After a couple minutes, I hear it engage one last time l, but didn't hear the truck return to normal(still sounded like there was an electrical load.) Sure enough, im watching my volt meter drop and not go back to normal. Waited about a minute and then shut the truck off. turned it back on, no issues. Grids cycled and everything was good. Does this sound like a relay problem? Also id like to ask you guys this question. So if i let my truck …

So, as the title says, I had my first experience with the dreaded death wobble early this morning on my way home from work. I was on a rough city street that I've driven many times. Running about 40-45mph and hit a really rough patch then the front end went bat sh*t crazy. I tapped the brakes and slowed her down to about 20 and it stopped. Made it the rest of the way home with no issue. Been doing some searching as to the cause and it seems there are multiple reasons as to why it did this. Most seem to point to the trackbar and/or the bushing. I have checked the tierod end of the bar before and it seemed tight. I'll have to check again to be sure. Any other a…

Hello everyone, want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving especially to MoparMan, IBMobile and W-T for adding so much education to this site. Special mention to Dripley who always provides Chicken. Sorry , I know the rules...... couldn't help it. Anyhow about the overloads, what is the best way to get the overloads back inaction as I have Air Bags on the truck that does not let the overloads help and the air bags sometimes bounce the truck side to side like crazy. I'm thinking bump stop extensions , but don't see how they would last holding on for dear life with just one bolt holding each one. Thanks for any thoughts

Hi Folks, I’ve been thinking about it for a long while and have decided I’m going to purchase a slide in camper for my truck. I’ve been looking at tie downs and like the idea of frame mounted tie downs (like the Tork Lift version). The one issue I see with the Tork Lift tie downs is the fronts use the bed bolt which is where my Fass is mounted. Is there anybody around that has a Fass or Airdog lift pump that also uses Tork Lift tie downs? If so, how did you accomplish it? If anybody wants to chime in with their other tie down recommendations for these trucks, I’m all ears. Thanks

I touched on this a little in another thread a while back. Finally getting to it. My abs light flashes constantly. The red brake light on the dash is not on, only the flashing abs light. I have read through the abs article and it refers to the abs/brake light both being on. So that didn't really give me a definite answer to my problem Abs light flashing, no parking brake light on and the speedo is working fine, cruise control works, brake lights come on when brakes applied as they should and 4wd light comes on and engages as it should. I did replace one front wheel speed sensor yesterday, planning on doing the other side either today or tomorrow but I fee…
