For those of you that did the mod what brand of circuit breaker did you use and have you had any problems with them. I am finishing off mine and also modding my travel trailer to use lithium batteries and wanted to use the same style so I can use it as a disconnect.

My driver side rear signal and brake light stopped working - I replaced the bulb, checked the fuses (fuses were fine), and checked the wire harness w/ the gage, and it is still not working. I checked the trailer outlet and there was no power coming to it, either. I'm out of ideas - help would be appreciated! PS - everything is fine w/ the passenger side. :wtf:is going on?

This is on a 96' 2500 12v 4x4 auto. I replaced the rear brake shoes, drums, upgraded to GM cylinders and flushed the system. Front brakes are in excellent condition. Everything has been working fine until about a week ago. The rear brakes are really grabby and will lock up easily until the ABS system kicks in. I haven't had a chance to pull the drums yet but there are no visible leakes and everything looks ok. Could the proportion valve have crapped the bed?

I'm in need of one bad! Somehow the one I have broke. I can't find one just anywhere. It's the larger size clamp that hold the boot on the inter cooler.

Dang the luck...I just lost a ABS sensor on my truck its the front driver sensor for sure the weather jacket is broke open and the inner wire is exposed. So sad but true I need to find a ABS sensor for my rig. Does anyone out there have leads on a cheap ABS sensors or maybe have salvaged a set of them?

  6. Hello. Looking to tighten up the front end on my 01' with 225k due to steering wheel play and a little slop. Question I have, do you guys recommend replacing the pitman arm, tie rod, steering damper, track bar, control arms, etc or should I just replace the bushings and any worn out parts? Trying to not break the bank but at the same time I dont want to end up doing the work only to find all new parts were a better route for this repair...Thanks!

Just a quick question on these, as this will be the first time I've ever had an electronic FP gauge as opposed to mechanical. The setup on the truck was originally designed with an autometer electronic FP gauge, with the sending unit tapped into the 90 elbow feeding into the P7100 Pump. With this being an electronic FP gauge, how critical is running either a snubber/needle valve/isolator inline with this system? I know in the past, they still recommended it, as the pulses would still beat the sending unit and cause it to either fail rapidly, or at least create a pulsating reading, so I was wondering if the newer electronic gauges were the same? I'm not a huge fan of e…

Interesting. Anybody that hasn't checked, should go check and see if they have one of these blocks! They sound like junk! http://www.locknstitch.com/cummins_5_9_block.htm

I need to replace my headliner in my 96 Ram. The visors have some holes in them also, so I figured I'd do them all at once. How does the visor fasten together? It looks like they snap together. Bob

I have a set of headlights from the retroshop and on my way to work tonight I was following a friend of mine and when we got to work he told me my driver's side headlight was flashing blue every once in a while. He said he kept thinking he was getting pulled over. Anyone have any issues with their headlights flickering that can give me some insights. With it being intermittent, maybe a loose connection or bulb causing it to flicker when i hit a bump or something.

Well guys I'm needing a bit of advice. Looking to knock the drone out of the cab of my truck while keeping the sound from the tailpipe. So which FTE resonator should I use 17 inch or 30 inch? I have a MagnaFlow SS 4 inch flow through muffler I just want to knock the drone out.

  15. So, you ever do something and think nothing of it, and then it goes bad and then you sit back and reflect and realize that you know better, or should've known better . Loading my tractor on the trailer yesterday and was pointed ona bit of a downhill grade...there was the mistake...and had the E brake on and in gear, but soon as I got the weight of the tractor up on the back of the trailer I think you all know what happened I went on a little unwanted drive with the truck, trailer and tractor for about 50 ft and then the trailer pushed the truck into a jackknife until I came up against a telephone pole i have in my yard. Blew my tire off the rim,. ruined my new back bumpe…

Hi Guys, I've noticed the rubber on my OEM Michelin's is getting down... admittedly I don't go off road except on the grass but occasionally the roads will have a crap load of snow on them. I am really NOT sold on the current trend to low sidewall tires on trucks. So what's decent snow rubber, that won't break the bank... Russ

New to the forum, been doing a lot of reading since I bought a dead 98.5 cab chassis with an 11 foot service bed. Got her running soon enough and have most of the bugs worked out of her but I am troubled by a wobble - shimmy at about 64 to 68 MPH. Have replaced most all front end components (ball joints steering box - way bad, and a couple of the steering link joints link joints) as well as the the track bar twice. It is from Autozone. The first one I threw on a few weeks ago and didn't think anymore about it, had other know bad parts to replace. All said and done everything I've found to be bad has been replaced, some obvious, some checked with a dial indicator and jig. …

  19. Figured as long as I am going to clean the bottom side of the engine looking for a leak, we should talk about cleaning/detailing the top of the engine and the rest of the engine bay as well. engine on or engine off while hosing and degreasing? cover electronics/alternator or don’t cover? (If cover what are you using?) BHAF of course should be covered or removed, but stock airbox? is there a good dry enough finishing product worth putting on? thats a good start, I would love to hear what everyone uses and their method. Obviously pictures are always a bonus.

My front sway bar is bent/twisted. Has anyone had any luck at all repairing - or having repaired? It's out of whack around 1/2" and chewed up the cushions at the drop link connection. Rockauto doesn't sell a new one, and Hellwig doesn't even make an overpriced new one. Next stop: the junkyards if it can't be retweaked to straight.
