You'd think I could remember after all these years but after all these years my forgetter is getting better! Some tires have a dot on them for mounting. The dot either goes at the valve stem or 180 deg. from it. The dot either shows the lightest or heaviest part of the tire but for the life of me I can't remember and I have 2 tires to put on my Kawasaki this week. Thanks for setting me straight.

I'm sure I've bled the system and have checked ABS sensor connections, kinda at a loss at this point.

Was checking front end before making an appointment for alignment and noticed LF wheel has play with hands at 12 and 6 O’clock but NOT at 3 and 9 O’clock. I really have to put some effort into it to feel it, but it’s there. Wheel spins both direction with no noise/grinding (All the bad stuff.) nor do I hear anything at Highway Speeds (If that is possible with a Diesel.) I was hoping it was a Ball Joint, but I see no issues. Any advice? Thanks Leaky.

A month or so ago I was leaving my brothers house when i noticed that my ABS airbag and brake were lit on the dash. I stopped and restarted the engine and the lights went away. Had that happen a couple more times when i noticed that the ignition switch was not returning all the way after starting. The switch had also been stiff to turn a few times. Figured my stater switch was giving out. I broke out my new key thats been hanging on the wall since i bought the truck and that issue went a way. So figured the old key might have been the cause. I could even remove that old key with the engine running, it was pretty worn after 14 years of use. I have not had those troubles o…

I have the heated, power mirrors. The driver side has not worked since I bought the truck, the passenger side just went out this year. Any hints on common failure points? This might be just the excuse I need to buy the flip up tow mirrors though.

Has anyone done this mod? Video makes access look easy, but with the hydro assist brakes not sure. They might also make a good vendor. I'll check that out.

I`m a converted 7.3 Powerstroke Ford guy and one must add a conditioner to the antifreese coolant to stop pitting. Is this also required for the Cummings 5.9 24 valve diesel as well. Tx.

I can't seem to find anything definitive on this... I've read some that say the 4th gen steering linkage that Dodge sells is a direct bolt in on a 2002 and some that say it's not. I found a couple posts in other forums where they said it rubbed the factory 16" wheels on 01-02s but a little grinding to care of that. Anyone know for sure? I know there are a/m options out there for these trucks but I've got a buddy at a Dodge dealership that can get me employee pricing so I'd like to find something from Dodge. Thanks in advance.

This question is not for me but I am not far from having my pads changed. Someone I know is thinking of putting Ceramic pads on his truck. I used to think a middle of the road set of disc pads always worked great, not the cheapest or the most expensive, At times when things were tight the cheapest. Do ceramic work better or last longer?

I have a 96’ Ram 2500 4x4 with 4-wheel ABS. The ABS system hasn’t worked in quite some time which is fine by me as the last time it kicked in I almost went through a stop sign and into an another truck. The problem I’m having is the rear brakes will lock up with relatively light pressure. So far I have: • Inspected the rear brakes and checked the adjustment, nothing was wrong. • Replaced the front calipers, pads, and brake lines. • Installed a new master cylinder • Thoroughly bleed the entire system. I’ve had this happen before on a different truck (non-ABS) and the culprit was a malfuncting combination valve. The problem…

I've got a lot planned the 01 this year. I just ordered a cowl hood for it, and I need to start sanding the loose clear coat on the roof as the truck will be getting wrapped soon. I still haven't picked a color but I want something light that won't look dirty as easily as a dark color does. I also have another dash core and new dash top to swap in as well as a new head unit to go with the speakers I installed last year. Some window tint and a new windshield are also on the list. May end up doing a manual swap with Doug as well if that all pans out. It's gonna be a whole new truck.....so I can stop looking at other trucks, lol.

Just curious if anyone has tried these. They're similar in appearance and design to the Harley Davidson day maker headlight. I have one on my bike and it's very bright. I would not be powering these through the factory headlight switch, rather use one of the switches in my switch panel. They also have the halo if you want to hook that up. May just power both the halo and light on dame switch. Not sure yet. Haven't ordered them yet, still debating.

I’ve just about on information overload In searching out this abs brake issue and trying not to parts change components until I find the problem, I do have rear brake abs along with rear drums, abs and brake light come on only after first full application of brakes and will stay on along with the spongy and week brakes, system will reset itself when I turn key off and then the cycle starts again the first time brakes are applied, they act like air in the system and it seems like I can gain a little by pumping but not much. I have not tried bleeding at the wheel because it seems if it’s leaking internally it wouldn’t do any good, It does not leak any fluid. The speedo work…

l have some Anderson sb350 type connectors l'm going to use as quick disconnects for my winch to connect it to the battery in my truck. My question is after l crimp the cables to the connectors and install them in the plastic housing, what would you guys use to seal the back end to prevent moisture from getting in?? l tried buying some "heat shrink" type sealers made for these connectors but evidently mine are a smaller size because they are way to big Thanks

So today I was a little bored and wanted to check my rear tire pressure. With the chrome covers on this is impossible on the dual rear wheels. The covers are 4 hole and the wheels 7 hole so they don't line up and there is just no way to get in there with a gauge so...... I removed the chrome covers, painted the wheels black satin and reused the chrome centers. See pic below. What ya think? Rears before Rears after

Well, it finally happened! My console quit working. Went to start the truck up this morning and no information showing. The lights and the security system still work though. Sad thing is I keep finding my self looking up for the temp. reading. I wonder how long it is going to take for me to quit that pattern! LOL

Once again its time for new seat covers. While I was last down in Emmett, ID I stop in Autozone and pickup a new set of seat covers. So far my factory seats are doing fair to OK. The driver seat is finally getting a tear on the outer edge from hauling my tail across it. The lower back of the seat is getting a bit thread bare. Passenger side is still good. But after getting the seat covers on and trimmed in looks good. Kind reminds me of a Ford design.
