Alright guys so this morning I went out and started the truck and gave it a minute and rolled off about 3 minutes gown the road at 30mph the check Guage light came on and I looked at the dash and the volts were all the way down. I turned into a lot and shut the truck off and did a Guage function check the volt Guage worked so I just started the truck and continued my 150 mile trip this morning with no further problems. The volt Guage stayed at about 15 the entire trip. Any ideas?

I was wondering what you guys thought about the new quick connect system? It looks like the push lock system is a better deal. Also wondered what thoughts were on hooking the power to alternator or battery? Over all looks like a great system.

  3. Hey guys, Two things... I currently have a Raptor 100 on the truck with the full half inch hoses all the way from the tank to the VP. If it dies (not saying "when" because I'm trying to be positive), I eventually want to replace it with a FASS 95.. so I'm curious if I can just buy the pump and not the whole "kit". Does the FASS use the same quick connect fittings? In other words, will it just be a matter of unplugging/unbolting the Raptor and bolting/plugging in the FASS and running the new power lines? Also.. I found a guy not too far away that's selling an older Edge EZ for $200obo - specifically for the 2001 model year (says right on the sticker). I do …

Is it possible to rebuild a Raptor FRRP lift pump? I had one go out a while ago and its been sitting in my garage. Has anyone been successful with rebuilding one if it is possible?

Well, finally got the Raptor 150 installed, Vulcan big line kit, and my fuel pressure gauge. Idling and cruising down the highway fuel PSI is at 17, and WOT it drops to 13. Truck runs better and believe it or not it is even quieter!!! Now on with the rest of the mods!!!

  10. Are these hard to install I want to gain fuel mileage and power the raptor fuel pump I want is the 100 gph how much horse power are these good for I would do the 150 but don't want to mess with the draw straw the edge I want is the juice with attitude to monitor egt fuel pressure and tranny temp will this work for me I eventually want to do ddp injectors probably around 100 125 when I bought the truck I was told it had 75 HP injectors and it does have 4 in down tube with 5 in straight exhaust but I really need to do a fuel pump soon side note had tranny checked it had been rebuilt some time and has a shift kit nothing else is known thanks in advance sorry about the long p…

Well Gang... I finally got tired of the huge sloppy mess I would make while changing my Frantz Filter. It seems like every time I would lift the can off the TP roll would stick to the stem and the oil would drain everywhere down the fender. So I started looking at what I could do to change it and make it less messy... So here is mt new mounting... Here is a close up of my new battery mounting bracket... The other problem was even if I could get the filter off without the mess the stem tube would be still full of oil and this oil would be enough to darken the new oil in seconds. It would look like I never changed the oil... :wow But now w…

I have something against buying parts off the shelf... So I came up with my own boost controller. What's wrong with the normal boost elbow? It does work to increase the boost pressure, but It makes the wastegate opening curve even worse then it is stock. With my stock 96, it makes about 22 psi with the stock wastegate and no boost elbow. After some testing, I've found it to start opening around 10 psi. So when we're at any boost pressure above 10 psi, the wastegate is already starting to open and bleeding drive pressure away from the turbine. With this setup, you also have what's called 'Boost Creep' where the boost climbs as the RPM's go up. This is because …

Ok so got into a weird discussion the other day on what it would take to put a real Jake brake in our cummins I'm not talking about exhaust brake. Talking about the real deal like in a semi. Is it just impossible because the design or what. Figured I'd ask the motor heads in the forum. Thanks

Is there a way to tell if my truck has an A/M tune? I'm pretty sure it's still stock, but not 100% sure. I'm getting to the point where I want to do a few mods to get a little more power out of the truck and I figured I would start with a tuner. However, I'm not sure if it already has one on it. I assume that to add a tuner I need to be at stock. Correct? I called the local dealer to see about having the ECM reflashed to make sure it's a factory tune and he said they can do it, but warned me that there is a chance it might burn up the ECM... Definitely don't want to do that. TIA

Afternoon.I'm a full-time Rver, and tow a 26' fifth wheel about 25% of the time. I only have 140,000 miles on my Dodge, and since I'm retired I'd like for it to last another 10-15 years. It's a 1999 Dodge 2500 4x4 5spd 24 valve. My truck weighs 7700 pounds empty, and my fifth wheel weighs around 11,000. I have a Scangauge II, and also a EGT and boost gauge. I drive around 55mph towing and 60mph solo, and get around 10-11mpg towing, 20mpg solo. Oh, and my axle ration is 3.53 and everything in the truck is original equipment except for the Scangauge, EGT, and boost gauge. Now, for the question. I see a lot of discussion about things like lift pump failures and VP44 failures,…

So I'm looking for a Drier/ Accumulator and an orface tube and the cheapest place to find parts for both of those is Partsgeek for $20/piece. I know about being weary of online stores like Rock Auto and such but I didnt know if anyone has bought their A/C parts or what. Anything helps as always, thanks!

  20. I went to leave for work this morning and my batteries were low enough the truck would crank slowly but not enough to start. I got new batteries at work and put them in when I got home. My quadzilla is no longer working now. I checked the fuses and the connections and got nothing. I took it for a drive and can tell it's not doing anything.
