New member to the forums fellas but I have been quietly reading for a few years. I'll start out with what I have. I have a 01 24v 6 speed. She has quadzilla adrenaline 4k, intake, intake horn, exhaust, necessary gauges, fass 165, and studs. Also has 190k miles A few months ago my pedal would just go dead and after contacting a few local guys and reading I decided it was TPS. Well now that I replaced it with a new one when i set the quadzilla to level 10 at around 2500 rpm she begins to shudder terribly until I either floor it or let off. It never this to me until I replaced the TPS. When i drop it to stock on the tune there is no shudder. …

Hello all, Im looking for some old vp pictures. My old computer crashed and lost the ones I had from TDR years ago. I looked on this site but the docs and links don't seem to work. It could be the company computer but I doubt it...at this time. Does anyone have the old cutaway pictures of the internals for a VP. Or know how to get the ones back on here. Heres the page ive been looking at with no working links.https://mopar1973man.com/topic/1348-vp44-cutaway-and-pictures/ Thanks Jeremie

So I had seen where a member had in his sig VP Blower and Heat-sink. Does this work? I know the hardest on a vp is after shut down when the fuel stops moving and the heat of the motor hits it. Just looking at ways to save the vp.

Ok guys a have a 2001 dodge 2500 diesel. It has 210,000 miles on it. Replaced the vp44 and put a fass lift pump on it 1 1/2 ago. About 2 mouths ago I was going down the highway and put it to the floor and it died on me. Would not start back up so I had it towed home. Late that day I try to restart it, it took a long time to get it started and it sounded and run like Crap. Like it was running on 2 or 3 legs. Towed it to dodge dealership. And they told me it was the injector pump. So I had it towed back to my house and order a new injector pump and put in one. But it is still running the same way. Like crapp.. I even try putting on a new ecm. But it still run like crap. …

I have an ‘02 cummins with what I believe is a failing stock VP44 due to the hard hot starting, P0126, and P1693 codes. My truck is fairly built already with a set of 150hp SAC injectors, quadzilla adrenaline module, ARP head studs, built 47RE trans, 150gph fass, S364 turbo, AFE cold air intake, AFE exhaust manifold, and a 4” straight pipe. Is a hot rod pump something that’s going to be worth the money on my truck or am I better off sticking to a stock pump. Also is there going to be a loss in reliability if i do a hot rod pump vs. a stock replacement?

Hey guys, I cant find the thread I was reading where you all were talking about the PSG being the actual 65HP limitation /w the smarty or non wire tap programmers on the vp44. I got interested and I found a lot of info out there, primarily some french guys where I used google to translate. showing clips to read the 24 series eeprom with 3M clips. They eventually caught on that you could put 5v to one of the legs on the chip and make it no longer read-only (this is common, and I suspected it). Because their forum is invite only I couldnt download their diagrams or documentation they created. I also found some Indian website that showed how to read/write to the …

Just out of curiosity, would anything bad happen if you set the timing statically on the Quadzilla throughout the rpm bands? I'm wondering what would happen or if the 24v would then act like a 12v.

Will a failing VP44 draw more voltage under load? I discovered last Tuesday that one of my batteries had failed, so I replaced both with 2 brand new batteries. After installing the batteries, the truck starts hard when cold or sitting for 8 hours or more, and runs incredibly rich. This morning I noticed my fuel pressure drop from 18psi to 16psi, and on my way home the pressure would drop from 15psi at idle to 5 under load then come back up to 13ish. FASS said to check my VP44 overflow valve, that it sounds like its returning more fuel than using. I'm assuming the pumps original to the truck and has 160k on it, could it be seals are worn out and leaking fuel past causing…

So I'm mid way guess doing this and can understand he group of wires that get spliced into a larger gauge wire, those all get cut and put into a ring terminal at the suggested vp44 ground. Then a ground wire from drivers side battery to same ground spot at vp44 with other wires. The rest of the wires just go back where they supposed to go... Now I have the alternator wire that goes straight over to the fuse block. If I'm reading it right I'm supposed to remove it from here then connect back to alternator and route to POS battery on passenger side??? What am I doing with the blank location at the fuse block? Las…

So my truck is a 2000 with A/T, a full set of gauges, BHAF, Edge EZ, AirDog fuel pump and RV 275 injectors. As it stands right now I'm only able to get about 22 pounds of boost at WOT. I would like to get it up to near 30 pounds if I can. I've installed the boost elbow that came with the Edge EZ but it doesn't make any difference on the boost levels. I've looked at the TST J-Hook, but it says it's for the 2001-2002 A/T trucks. So my question is can I increase my turbo boost on my 2000 A/T truck?

Hi newbie here I am just getting my first diesel pickup a 1999 Dodge 2500 SLT 5 spd which I will mostly use for towing a fifth wheel and would like to up the HP .Towing will include steep hills 5-10% grades 3500-9500 ft . I was thinking about better intake air flow and 4" exhaust and a exhaust brake . I see Van Aaken , Quadzilla XZT , smarty and Edge EZ listed most for chips/programmers . Can I just and a programmer for the extra 30-50 hp or do I have to add a exhaust elbow too . I have a Bully Dog boost gauge already and a EGT gauge that is not hooked up yet and was thinking of adding a fuel pressure gauge also.

need a new one I think, mine no longer squirts... Thinking about just gutting the one that is on there and adding some other type of pump maybe? Just wondering about the type of pump to get? Any pump that will pump water will work great I think, as long as it has threaded fittings I could adapt to 1/4" male barbed for the washer fluid line. Any ideas?? What is the max amount of amperage pump I could use before I would overload the fuse for the washer pump?

About a year ago I bought a bunch of washers that would be about the right size for shims. Then after doing research about it decided not to run them as people were saying they weren't hard enough steel. Fast forward to about a month ago when I ordered new injectors, I bought some shims about the same time, but there were some complications with the wrong ones being sent, which I found out after having the injectors on the bench... So thinking back to the washers, I decided to try it. I wrote down the exact pressures I set each one to, aaannnnnddddd temporarily misplaced it, but they were all 320 bar +/- 3 bar. I put the higher pop ones on the outside…

Looking for experience with water methanol. Done a lot of reading on it but haven't seen anyone do what I'm thinking of doing. (Probably because it's not smart for most people) I would like to try and experiment with running no intercooler and using only water methanol to control temps. Im hoping this will allow for higher inlet temps at low load and a shorter better flowing intake side netting some better mpgs. Im really curious how the quadzilla will play with water methanol. According to my math the intercooler removes 3000btu per min at 30 psi of boost. Water removes 970 btu per lbs methanol a little less but flashes at a lower temp. So I should need about 1400ml wo…

  20. I read somewhere on this site that keeping exhaust temperature below 600 degrees F will result in better fuel mileage. One way to accomplish this would be to set up a water/methanol injection system that activates above 600F and deactivates below 600F. The nozzle would have to be quite small to avoid extinguishing the combustion fire. An improvement would be to have a two stage system with a second, slightly larger nozzle that activates at about 700F. I believe Banks Power offers a new water injection system that has the ability to be temperature activated. The temperature trigger points I'm suggesting are, of course, subject to change. A wide array of nozzle aperat…
