  1. Page fixed... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/tips/cumm ... _codes.htm
  2. The page happens to be missing... Let me fix that problem...
  3. Hmmm... If you a SO Engine... Nope... Dumb idea though... As for the key I've got a solution for that... Another member told me... "Super Glue!" LOL
  4. Hmmm... JL... Do you have any new error codes at all?You might try a cam sensor for the tach jump but I don';t think that going to cure the strange idle jump issue... Is there someone you could swap VP44 with?
  5. Hmmm... Not sure about MAX pressure but you seem to have enough... That's for sure... :thumbsup
  6. There was a crazy of that back when I first started with the Cummins Crowd. But then it seen to just fade away... You rarely here of pre-luber now...
  7. Here head over and download a book on the 2001 Dodge and there is a full guide on how to deal with the chain... http://pdftown.com/Dodge-Ram-2001-Service-Manual.html
  8. That book happens to be in my pile... :smart
  9. You got a rip in the VP44 diaphram. The pressure is to great at start up so the solution is just like you said you got to disconnect the lift pump form the system during starts now. So for a permanent fix I would wire in a relay to the starter lead so it turns the pump OFF during cranking but as soon as the key is relase the pump comes ON. The other solution is replace the VP44... The whole cause of this problem was from low fuel pressure and a diaphram inside the VP44 ripped during this low pressure moment.
  10. 1 MPG could be you lead filled boot causing that... BHAF should ZERO effect on MPG as long as its clean and not pulling the filter minder down. Chips should have ZERO to do with it as long as the throttle doesn't touch the carpet.Try something..."keep you boost below 5 PSI and Pyrometer under 600*F and I bet 20+ MPG will happen"Remember... Pyrometer will rise if you dumping large amounts of fuel to the engine. Boost can only becreated from large amounts of fuel. So if you keep both very low then you not burn much fuel arn't you??? LOL
  11. Getting below 100:1 is to hot of a idea... remember all oils are natural cetane reducers... So if you get it too low it will trouble some to start. If you looking at HFRR number play with the calculator a bit for 2 cycle oil... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/tips/cumm ... r-calc.htm
  12. Well it jumped here in Idaho... :mad From $2.129 to $2.429 now... I'm heading for $3.00 really soon again... :nono
  13. Well when you get it back it should work like a dream... :thumbsup
  14. I don't see any reason why not... I would give it the 128:1 dose and take a rod and stir it up good in the tank. Then at least prime up the low pressure side with fresh fuel and fire it up...
  15. Dang! You right up there with me now... :thumbsup [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq0XG5qRLsM]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq0XG5qRLsM[/ame]
  16. Edge Juice and Edge Comp are exactly the same software... Same abilities... The only thing is different is the Edge Comp doesn't have the pretty little digital gauges and doesn't wig out like FlatTwin's did... LOL This is one of the main reasons I held to the Edge Comp. Because if something fails it fails as a complete uint and you lose the whole thing... So if my Comp fails I still got separate gauges. :thumbsup As for the Comp for MPG... http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq0XG5qRLsM I would clear the codes and see if it comes back. If not then the Edge Juice was to blame...
  17. FlatTwin... Here is the error dump for you... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/obd2-error-codes/obd2-error-codes.htm Then here is a valuable tool you could buy... http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/personal/2002/scangauge2/scangauge2.htm It's nice to be able to Scan for codes while your driving and also see live data from the computers...
  18. Oh... I remember the days of adding my Edge Comp and trying to restrain from using 5x5. Oh when I did turn it up and stick my foot in it... It was a wonderful feeling of power and accomplishment for me. What made me feel even better was getting up on the rollers and fine out how much HP/TQ I was making. But now 4 years later it just a normal truck again. But it nice to known that when I step on the throttle to pass someone or heading to a fire... I've got the juice to pass anyone and more when I need to move!
  19. On Wednesday it was $2.149 for diesel now back up to $2.249... `
  20. Actually I did get it posted... http://forum.mopar1973man.com/downloads.php?do=cat&id=2 PM Sent...
  21. I tend to forget about that... LOL http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/personal/2002/vulcan/vulcan.htm
  22. Hmmm... Now I understand... It might be easier... But I still love the computerized version better... :thumbsup
  23. Actually your below the boundary... :rolleyes Right out of the Dodge FSM... So you going to need a fuel system upgrade before you tap the VP44.. But after you get the upgraded fuel system I'll tell you straight up you get more MPG's with it cranked up to 5x5... ;)
