Remaned ECM took out vp44?
- Remaned ECM took out vp44?
Here you go the wiring between the VP44 and the ECM pretty simple to test. Basically, unhook both the VP44 and the ECM. Now ohm test from pin to pin it should be ZERO ohms. With it still unhooked now do the pin to GROUND. This just proves there is no wires shorted to ground this should show INFINITE ohms (Open circuit).- Remaned ECM took out vp44?
P1689 is communication code. Basically anything to screw up communication between VP44 and the ECM. Possible Causes Wiring & Connectors Fuel Injection Pump Relay Output Circuit Open Ground Circuit Open Or High Resistance Datalink (+) Circuit Open Datalink (+) Circuit Shorted To Ground Datalink (-) Open Datalink (-) Shorted To Ground ECM- Roof Issues Anyone?????
To me, it looks like the rubber roof was never glued down like its suppose to. Looks like it grew a blister of air and the wind beat the rubber till it tore. This is because the rubber wasn't glued down to the roof.- Bouncing Around
I would have to say time to call warranty on those shocks. I've got a set of Rancho's that are nearly 200k miles on them and still doing OK. Starting to get a bit more bounce than I like.- HELP!!! Im about to buy a 99 Dodge will an 02 motor fit in it?!
Bottom of ANY page should have "Contact Us" and it has my phone number listed there. https://mopar1973man.com/contact/- HELP!!! Im about to buy a 99 Dodge will an 02 motor fit in it?!
The problem is the crank sensor was moved to the cam. Then the early version cam sensor was removed. The cam gear has a tone ring now in the later series so this requires changing the cam. Since the cam tone ring is in a different position then that means the gear case has to be swapped. If you think you can just swap the electronics this typically turns into a bigger issue because of the wiring difference and communication difference between early and late trucks. This is why its best to get the same year of engine that way there are no issues with electronics versus mechanical. If you give me a call some time I can explain easier on the phone what the problem is and why this is such a headache to deal with.- HELP!!! Im about to buy a 99 Dodge will an 02 motor fit in it?!
This would be a first... I've never heard of a stitched block holding up...- HELP!!! Im about to buy a 99 Dodge will an 02 motor fit in it?!
No. Again gear case issues, cam issues wiring issues. only a 98.5, 99 or 2000. That won't work either. Most fail again after stitch the black back together. The only thing you could do is convert the entire truck over to 2001 or 2002 but this requires replacing all the wiring harness cab included, change the gear case, change the cam, change both PCM and ECM as a pair. Still much easier to find a 98.5, 99, or 2000 engine.- HELP!!! Im about to buy a 99 Dodge will an 02 motor fit in it?!
Won't work. Wiring issues, cam issues, gear case issue, etc. Best to buy another 1999 engine that way there are no issues.- cp3 issue?
That's what it cost for my entire truck in 2002. This is just a rebuild... I'll skip the common rail world Thank You. That's just insane amount of money because of a CR injector failure.- Fuel Article - Choosing a Tuner for a VP44 Cummins
all the wiretap does is pull to ground for a set microseconds once the PSG module on the VP44 stops. Just to clarify your last state a bit more.- 3rd or 4th Gen upgraded steering linkage? SAFETY RECALL (page two))
Might look better but I wonder if it can exceed OEM lifespan. Mine went 334k miles on the OEM drag link and tie rod ends. Let's see if it holds up to the test of time.- Everyone post a picture of your truck!
Like I don't really need a Dodge Cummins either but kind of hard to tow my RV with a Toyota Prius. Can't put my Honda Ranch ATV in the back hatch of a Prius. Haven't figure out how to stuff 1.5 cords fo firewood in a Prius yet.- Fuel Article - Choosing a Tuner for a VP44 Cummins
Canned tuners like the Edge Comp that do not allow custom tuning are built mostly for stock injectors. Using a canned tuner like an Edge Comp with larger injectors tend to have issues with smoke control and timing not meeting the amount of fuel being injected.- Everyone post a picture of your truck!
What?!?!- Want to increase turbo boost
Something to remember if it boost related typically there is black smoke if there is boost leak or wastegate issue. Boost cooler issues typical have little to no smoke and low power.- Want to increase turbo boost
Edge EZ should hit about 30 PSI without much issues. I'm wondering if your Edge EZ is boost fooling correctly? Is the MAP sensor cables hooked up for the Edge EZ? Boost toilet should make the ECM see about 18 to 19 PSI and the Edge should be able to fuel past 20 PSI all the way to 30 PSI. If the ECM is seeing true boost number your 22 PSI limit sounds about right. Hence why I wonder if the boost cooler is working correctly.- What an evening
At least dumping the RV is much easier than lifting man hole cover and seeing that...- Want to increase turbo boost
Crank position has no impact. Once again there is only one valve open per cylinder the only time no valves are open is TDC compression stroke which is only one cylinder so if you do TDC then its going to be #1. The other 5 cylinders will be somewhere through the cycle. If both valves ever opened at the same time you'll never build compression (no start or fire). Not to mention the boost would blow through like wind tunnel.- Quadzilla not working right?
Not really a good idea to use the test ports on the 47RE. Either the hot line coming out of the transmission or weld a bung in pan. Ive seen where sensors tighten to much protruding into the accumulator piston and other parts. Just best to weld a bung in the pan or get a ported transmission line.- Everyone post a picture of your truck!

Brown trout fishing in Blue Butt Reservoir.- Website building for a small business
Biggest thing is not building the website. Actually is access to your server and what abilities you can do with your server. Like Go Daddy I know has Memcached plugin for PHP. You have access to you my.cnf file (MySQL config file). Some control of the Apache server (limited). Site builders I typically tell people to avoid them. They do not give go control of your website design. Like M73M here we are on iPage VPS. I'm using Memcached, Elasticsearch, and few other Linux programs to extend the server abilities. Most of this can't be done on shared hosting accounts. Go Daddy is the only one that comes close. Ill admit iPage shared hosting sucks. No server access at all and no SSH terminal. Network solutions sucks too again no access to the server or SSH terminal. Even 150 miles from home I've still got access directly to my server over my cellphone. - Remaned ECM took out vp44?
