  2. I would tend to agree with Bill I would check the wheels for build up first. Then check the balance afterwards. Thing is it takes so little of out of center weight to create a wobble. Especially will large wheels and tires.

  7. Thing is there is no absolute number. 0.1 is for sure damaging. As for normal is 0.01 to 0.03 on average. Some weird problem reported near the 0.05 mark but random in nature. Thing is the more and more I talk to people the more I keep learning and trying to narrow down. The biggest thing is unhooking and test driving with a alternator wired in usually test if it failed out not. The strange then is I've seen some fail as low as 0.05. Now is that because of poor testing, junk digital meter, or human error?
  8. Again... Alternator noise damage. MOSFET's that control the lift pump circuit are damaged. Take notice there is 2 white/yellow wire powering the lift pump directly from the ECM. 0.07 is not exactly good... 0.01 to 0.03 is normal. 0.05 is marginal... 0.10 is failed...
  9. Dumb question why is it that anyone talks about engine oil they look for the quickest flowing oil. Then when doing axle lubricants they get the thickest tar to put in the axles? Why is that? If I could find a GL-5 lube that was lower in the winter (W) side I would jump on it. Like 75W-90 or simular in a GL-5 petroleum base.

  11. Send the ECM (one on the driver side of the block) to be repaired. Then take the alternator have it bench tested for diode ripple. It should be below 0.05 (50mV AC) anything above .1 is a fail.   12. Absolutely... I always suggest using 80w-90 weights in the axle. 140 is way too thick and even cold it barely even moves it like tar. Even towing I still use 80w-90 you want a lubricant that will flow out to the hubs in a quick fashion as well. Ask JL_Welding about his experience with 140 weight synthetics. As long as the gear lube is a GL5 lubricant its good to go.

  15. The fact that you had to wire the lift pump to the ignition switch tells me you already had issues with AC noise from the alternator. Also the lack of WTS light confirms it even more...
  16. Like myself I've got a reman'ed NAPA 140 Amp alternator and it still testing at 0.025 or so.
  17. Is it the pressure regulator in the oil filter base stuck partial open?
  18. Lack of Wait To Start light should trigger a P0381 code. Dave is right a failing ECM will have trouble firing up the WTS light.

  22. True. I'll agree that NOx is why the efficiency is down. Again there is never anything said about NOx in the media. But the biggest hype on the media is carbon. NOx has been a issue since the early 70's if you want to go back to when EGR system started that I can remember. Yeah I know the EPA has it standards but why is all the hype happening? Media... VW getting their hand slapped. Unknown if its a CO2, NOx or particulate matter when the whole VW thing came to be.
  23. The whole thing right now is carbon emissions that everyone is crying about. Rarely have you even heard anyone mention NOx emission which is what creates acid rain. Like Bill's post above its about the CO2 emissions. Now looking from CO2 side then yes that forest fire emit way more. Now the dumb part is all the green plants on the planet absorb CO2 gases and give off O2 as a end result. It's all about creating carbon taxes... Pope’s Flights to Cuba, U.S. Emit More CO2 Than 557,000 Lbs of Coal Nothing said about NOx anywhere...
  24. I've had this conversation with the staff awhile back. The problem is that if you start a new domain name you'll have to wait 8 years to catch up to the power of mopar1973man.com. So the domain will always be a least 8 years behind and never be ahead of the current domain. Search results are based on domain age as a factor. I never expected the site to grow this big so the initial design was just my personal notebook back in 2004. So no matter what I do for a new domain it always be behind mopar1973man.com. If I replace mopar1973man.com then I get to fall off the planet and the site will die. Just changing the forum software took me over 2 year to stabilize Google and other search engine after the URL's changed. Bad enough I'm planning on doing it again I'll be upgrading the forum software to Invision Power Board Suite 4.0 soon. Software is already purchased and waiting for plugins to catch up. So if I buy another domain name it will never have the same power on the search engines. Now buying a existing domain is extremely expensive especially one that is equal in age to the current one.
