Rear axle seal time
That's one thing I've not done yet is axle seal on the rear. The rear pinion seal was covered under warranty. The front axle seal where done by a shop because tire shop tore the seals changing the unit bearing up front. So I'm due to see them start leaking.

There was a few that mention that GV boxes tend to create issues. Something about the extra gear up put extra stress on the input shaft. Give it a try in stock truck it won't happen. Yes, I'm limiting my traction so I'm not breaking the input shaft. But a whole 1.1" inch reduction vs 265's in tire face isn't a huge deal breaker either. Bit of history to toss in... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Venture_Gear New Process Gear History In 1888 Thomas W. Meachem founded the New Process Rawhide Company in Baldwinsville New York. In the late 1890s New Process Rawhide moved operations to Syracuse after a fire. In 1913 Thomas W. Meachem reorganized New Process Rawhide with one of his partners Artemus Vosburgh. The company was renamed New Process Gear to reflect the new corporate direction. In 1954, after a succession of owners including Willys-Overland,[4] New Process Gear became a subsidiary of Chrysler Corporation.[5] In 1990, under a new joint GM - Chrylser venture, New Process Gear was renamed "New Process Gear Division" of New Venture Gear. In 1998 Daimler Benz merged with Chrysler to form Daimler Chrysler. In 2002 Daimler Chrysler bought the entire 36% minority stake in New Venture Gear from GM while retaining ownership of the Syracuse New Process facilities. In 2004 Canada based Magna International purchased 80% of New Venture Gear from Daimler Chrysler. In 2007 Magna purchased the remaining 20% interest. The New Process gear plant remained property of Daimler Chrysler. Chrysler then leased the facilities to Magna.[6] This lease arrangement made it difficult to compete with the European manufacturing operation Magna directly purchased located in Roitzsch Germany.[7] A downturn in Jeep demand combined with DaimlerChrysler not replacing the Dodge Neon sharply curtailed demand for the Syracuse New Process Gear plant production. In 2009 design and engineering services were moved to Troy Michigan and Magna International announced its intent to close the Syracuse plant. The Syracuse New Process Gear plant planned closure in November 2011 was pushed out till 1st quarter of 2012.[8] After 124 years on Thursday August 24, 2012 New Process Gear ended production and closed their doors for the last time.[9]

sleeping with the bucket
Should of been here last night it pour rain and the lightning show was rather good. I'm glad to report the fire radio didn't go off last night and I don't see smoke in the air. I might have to take a walk down to the RV and check inside it being I do have the roof vent cracked open and 2 windows.

Rear axle seal time
Just a seal as far as I know. When you take the hub off the seal is on the back of the hub. No other gaskets you would need. You might need new nuts for the axles I've seen some were like nyloc's and no longer hold properly after being removed.

power steering box pressure
Yeah maybe... Sloppy job. Pull the pitman arm off. Then remove the sector adjustment cover. Now push the output shaft back up through the top. Remove any clip holding the outer seals. The using a drift or punch knock both seals there should be a outer dust seal and a inner hydraulic seal. Assembly will be reversed. The bad part is you need to work from the top of the box. I know from my truck the veiw and access is rather limited so you might have to remove the box just to do the seal. If you that far it really easy to rebuild and re-seal.

NV4500 are cheaper and available being they where used in more than just Dodge trucks. Yes they are pretty darn strong. When I can get the tires to break loose in 4th. No 5th gear issues or input shaft issues. The only difference is down low gears. They added the between 2nd and 3rd gear on the 5 speed. Because the last two gears in both transmissions are exactly the same. 3rd gear is a rather a long reach to get to 4th when towing stock. But I'm no where near stock nor do I have that issues any longer. Stock power you will need the extra gear for steep mountain forestry roads and towing.

I keep having to replace my APPS
Buy a Timbo's APPS and save your money. The stock APPS is electronic driven where the Timbo's is completely mechanical.

Teardown and Rebuild
I know you got the screen cloth. But if that was aluminum screen like what I had I would not suggest putting against the coolers. It will rub holes in the A/C for sure and create leaks. If you using any metal screen put it to the grill not the coolers.

How can we become perfect?
Might be true... But there is some humbling experiences you end up with at times. Just because I can work for people doesn't always means I get paid for the work I do. Sometimes paid at much lower rated than typical. Then like all summer I've been slammed with work and trust me I can feel it in my bones every morning. Then once winter starts then things get really quiet. Now the confinement of winter sets in and you don't travel, jobs are gone, weather is typically foul at both end of the canyon so leaving isn't a choice at times. Then with wood heated houses you have to stay home to keep pipes from freezing.

Church web stuff
What wrong with building a web page for donations to the local church? What wrong with allowing people to donate using Paypal? Seems to work well here for the site it would just the same for the church.

How can we become perfect?
I'm only human as well. I do what I can to help my fellow man. I don't see things as failing but as a learning curve. If I don't make it why? Lack of knowledge? Lack of ability? Lack of management? Lack of spiritual guidance? So now I learn from my mistakes and move forward. I know I will never be perfect. I can always learn how to improve who I am and what I'm doing. I sometimes sit down and look at my recent past and figure out why thing the way they are. There is things I can't explain that happen. Funny little story. As a kid I grew mostly a loner. Never really had any friends and didn't socialize much. Then I got in to my computer business was having a hard time trying to teach people because I always told MoparMom I really didn't like dealing with the public and and having to teach people. What happened... I held a computer business till 2008 and now from 2004 to current I still hold the forum and continue to teach diesel trucks and turn wrench for living. I still make my mistake in management of time or not ordering the part I need or other foolish mistakes. I'm who I am I would want to change it for the world. I happy with the blessing the Good Lord gave me and the ability to touch some many people locally as well as all you on the Internet. Thank you Lord for letting me be me!

2012 Avenger screening Air Intake
We do similar down at the service station. When we are doing oil changes we check the air filter for a mouse party. If so Dan has a roll of steel mesh screen for that purpose.

Sad news
I can sneak home now with the 24V and still get in the door without MoparMom knowing. Just can do it with the 1996 Dodge because the main house garage door makes too much noise.

Hundai Accent... mice nest in cabin air filter
I just changed one on a little foreign car, talk about PITA to do.

Fuel pressure guage
I'm also 1/2 inch rubber hose from the fuel tank to the VP44. Then another 5 foot of 1/8" air brake line from the tap point into the cab on the old mechanical gauge and it used to buzz if the needle valve wasn't set right. So even with the change over I'm still 5 foot of tubing to the sender but have the snubber and needle valve at the tap point. Lot of people are wrapped up in the myth of using grease gun hoses will either suppress water hammer or suppress vibrations. Hate to say it it does nothing for either senders still fail...

Screening OEM air filter against mice
Suggestion. Spray the upper lid with WD40. Then when you check the filter check the lid for dirt. Stock box is known to deform and leak dust past. The tell-tale signs will show up in the WD-40 sprayed on the lid.

Fuel pressure guage
That's really bold... I still wonder how long it will hold accuracy? Have you tested for accuracy?

Time for a power steering flush
If prime is lost from using the engine to pump the fluid... Simple finish your flushing then hook up all the lines and again and refill the power steering pump. Now have front axle jacked up and slowly go from lock to lock. This will pump the fluid back through the steering system prime the pump again.
