  1. Could of been just the plunger contact arced welded to the other contacts. I would start looking at the solenoid parts for damage or debris that might hang it up.
  2. I'm pretty sure its a stand alone unit for ABS computer just need to be plugged into the CCD network. Which leads me to the fact you most likely don't have the plugins for it. Yes that is correct the speed data is sent back over the CCD network for the instrument cluster and the PCM for transmission and cruise control functions.
  3. Depends on the elevation of the property. Like here at 2,800 feet I do all my own plow work with a ATV. I know up at White Water Wilderness Ranch they have to use a heavy machines to plow the roads in the winter. This is because of drifting snow. The only thing I can say is it different snow condition up and down this canyon. The last few years have been so mild that you really didn't need a 4WD nor plow. Hence our fire season this year. But as my photo shows the road dept. is stocking up with large amounts of salt. New Meadows shed is full of salt. The picture above is Weiser, ID road dept.
  4. The old ones worked fine as long as I kept soldering the wires back together. Possibly a bad sensor in the pile then? No speed sensor on the transmission. Just the rear diff and the 2 front axles sensors.
  5. I starting to notice all the road department yards loading up with large piles of salt. I better get ready for another year of fighting back the rust.
  6. I've made the mistake blindly reaching for a tube and grabbed the inside hole and it slide out scratching the cone seat. Dumb move... Yeah this is what I'm warning about.
  7. Don't scratch the cone of the cross over tube or it will leak on heavy throttle. If funny how a 10k or more pressure will weep out of a scratch like that.
  8. Ok. Everyone knows I just replaced my front two ABS sensors. Here is what happening now. Start up roll out slow speeds less than 40 MPH the ABS and BRAKE lights remains off. Once I exceed 40 MPH they pop back on. I can pull over shut off the truck start up again and start rolling out and the light reset again. Once over 40 MPH it trips again. My old sensors works fine but had been broken in the leads. I solder and shrink tube then a few times and always was able to get the light back out. As for the rear speed sensor it dead on with my Garmin GPS so I really doubt I got a bad rear sensor.
  9. Absolutely... The crossover tube must be seated and lightly torqued before the injector hold down cap is even tighten.
  10. Disconnect the alternator fuse and go for a drive. If the problem is gone the alternator is shot.
  11. You could seen me a PM of what you want. I'll manually plug it in.
  12. Just for information sake... http://www.boschdiagnostics.com/diy/products/bosch-obd-1300
  13. Ummm... The stock trailer connector only has a 40 amp fuse so the charge rate is less than 40 amps.
  14. Remember you got to keep the location for the stock sensor any ways being the fuelling and timing tables is built on that sensor location. Colder location will make the MPG lower.
  15. All stock inside the engine except for the injectors. I've seen IAT driven well up near 180-190*F easy coming out of the back country hauling firewood in 2nd gear and being shoved off the mountain.
  16. Filter minder is designed in inches of WATER not inches of MERCURY. Way different measurement. About the same vacuum force as you would place on a straw with a thick milk shake will pull mine down hard and fast. Now a long straw with a soft drink is about the tension it takes to pull half way. Mine does actually work. The few time boonie hopping through the mud and snow I got the filter wet and pull the minder down. If your reset valve is not function properly then the disc will bleed off and self reset.
  17. The only thing about Rotella is the Ro-Smella... Yeah it does have a strong odor about it.
  18. There is a good reason why the oil change intervals are getting long in the 3rd and 4th Gen truck... Compared to 1st and 2nd gen
  19. Broke the hub. Same thing Southbend Con OFE and never looked back. Holding good enough to break the tires loose in 4th gear.
  20. Tested monthly. Still working as designed.
  21. Never had Chevron in buckets... Now Mobil Delvac Yes. My local oil company in Grangeville sells Mobil Delvac. Chevron no dice. Proof is in the picture... LOL
  22. As for me suggesting I will suggest buying bulk but CI-4 most likely not. Like here it very very hard to come by.
  23. My question is where the engines stock or modified? I can see modified engine with a puppy behind the wheel eating cams and other engine parts. But stock engine with normal human driving I don't see where you'd need it. Would be a good idea for break in process but as a constant use I would say no for a daily driver. But racing another story because its a modified engine and special requirements.
  24. Smarty does not completely only partially remove torque management. As for complete removal look up the RadBox.
