  1. Most fabric shops have headliner fabric for sale. You can peel the fabric off the base material and then reinstall new fabric.
  2. While JAG1 was here we had him do some wood working. So I had to show it off... Yeah I know I should had the picture while they were hung on the wall but... I was in the hurry...
  3. You still have to unplug the field lead from the alternator as well. Retest and report again.
  4. Yeah the code is now gone. I grabbed my scanguage and reset the code for him. I figure the next time he comes back down I'll plan on doing the other other gasket for him. Conversion might take a bit more consideration.
  5. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/index.php?/topic/9875-2002-hard-start-occasional-stall-not-fuel-related-this-time/#entry109134 Verified the file on the server is still good and functional. It must be something anti-virus or Windows wise causing your problem. Possible that the ECM tables are screwed up and the data for cold coolant and IAT temps are screwed up. Possible there is a cracked solder joint maybe causing issues and does better when its warm. 2002-Dodge-Cummins-power dist.pdf
  6. Pig... Ahh... Bring a Elk then he get FREE stay... Yes I got a welder but its a basic one. Cheap Harbor Freight...
  7. Ok... Camping is $15 a night without hook ups. $17 a night with power. If you bring the beer it a automatic $5 discount.
  8. Hey now. Mopar1973Man Fest... JAG1 has been driving on this old pump now for 4 years with P0216 code and driving back and forth to his Mom's place in Az. That really crazy.
  9. I think someone needs to update the article...
  10. Here you go... 2002-Dodge-Cummins-trailer plug.pdf
  11. True to a point. With daylight running out both getting tired and few other side project occur the one gasket was skipped.
  12. You might have to unplug something like a coolant temp sensor and trip a hard fault that triggers a error and then the Edge module will reset properly. Like my 02 does the same thing like P0500 code is not reset-able but trip a hard code like temp sensor and now you can.
  13. I see people relying on rear camera too much and end up striking something on the side of the cab or trailer. This because the driver is busy watching the camera too much and not the sides of the cab or the side of the trailer in the mirrors. So be careful still.
  14. Well today was long day. Started out changing JAG1 injection pump and found the grid heater gasket were brittle and tore. So I stopped and ordered a intake gasket kit to get the two new gaskets for the grid heater. So ran to McCall and picked up the gasket and ran back. Finished up the injection pump install. JAG1 had picked up a cam sensor and installed that as well. But everything worked out good. Busted JAG1 trying to escape the camera...
  15. Posted in the 12V so I'm assuming P7100 pump. On a 24V truck I would look at the fuel pump relay in thee PDC to see if its stuck ON. If so them the the VP44 remains powered up. Just swap fuel pump relay with something else to verify.
  16. I just done a 3rd Gen a week ago and we beat on that hub for quite a while to get it to move. Eventually the hub moved and we kept beating on the bolts to get it out. Using a grinder straighten out the beat bolts. But during the installation of the bearing we mopped on the anti-seize on everything.
  17. Sounds like your main battery cables are bad if the voltage is not the same. As for the VP44 is only turned on if the ECM commands it through the fuel pump relay. So the VP44 can draw while thee key is off. Also if the battery cable where good the batteries should be matching at all times. But your batteries are different voltages running or not. So that points to bad cables.
  18. I snooped inside it last night and for a truck camper I was shocked how much stuff they crammed in such a small space. Really shocking to see a full sized RV fridge in there. (WOW!) Most likely tomorrow I'll install the VP44 and get it done. Today is suppose to rain all day. So I'm not wanting to work in the rain. Also his setup won't fit inside the shop anyways.
  19. Fuel shut off solenoid stuck in the up position. Double check the linkage on the P7100 isn't sticking or hanging up.
  20. Yeah that's right JAG1 is camping in my front yard with his Dodge truck and truck camper. I'll post up pictures tomorrow in the daylight.
  21. Here shortly JAG1 can validate what I've been saying...
  22. Here is the Dodge FSM for your truck. http://forum.mopar1973man.com/index.php?/files/file/68-2002-dodge-ram-fsmzip/
  23. Another simple wiring diagram... Now remember this is for the Dodge Cummins not the industrial which might have different pins. I suggest you swap over to a Dodge wiring harness and ECM before going to much farther.
  24. So the wire and the sensor are both good. So that leads down the path of a bad ABS controller. So time to hit up someone with a Dodge truck and do some bench testing.
  25. OK John... Using the wiring diagram above... http://forum.mopar1973man.com/index.php?/topic/9846-01-dodge-speedo-doa/page-3#entry109062 I ohm tested my truck. Now just pulling the connector from ABS controller and probing the plug (Red/Violet & White/Violet) With sensor hooked up ----------------------- 1,838 ohms Without sensor hooked up and shorted ---- 0.006 ohms Re do your test.
