  1. Did your new sensor come with an adapter plug, or plug on both sensors was same just different socket size. Still kinda weird why map sensor will only do it in 5th, unless you didn't get as much boost 1 through 4 and in 5th you can get more boost and it's over what ecm wants to see and it defuels. Mabe boost fooled in edge is not working correctly.
  2. Sounds like someone got a few tricks up their sleeve If someone stock a potato in my pipe it would spit out french fries
  3. I wonder if they only do it to flipped out ones with no trailer behind. Ether way it's wrong unless they been harassed by other kids that drove dodges with towing mirros.
  4. Man Nick you put these threads to end like a pro you are. , just couldn't resist.
  5. Well I'd say get a new top anyway, it's done it on a new built and can happen at any time, I would get a different top if he's sertain that's what it is. And the nut thing, if it's possible to put that collar on 2wd to make sure nut never backs off, wouldn't it make sense just to add that to the cost and do it to all just to be safe. I'm sure 100 bucks isn't going to matter much on that kind of build and a good way to make sure it never falls off. I wouldn't want to take tranny out over a 100 dollar part, I'd pay it up front. Gmo.
  6. What did builder of tranny has to say, it may be something simple. But I still think it has something to do with 5th gear in tail housing. Nut backed out or something with shift fork, or even synchro out of place. You got 2wd shouldn't take too long to get tail piece off and see.
  7. If it is the nut then just get it as tight as you can and then put on that collar that prevents it from backing off. Just did a quick search and this came up, may want to see what brand is better. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/272781500494?dispItem=1&ul_ref=http%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F1%2F711-117182-37290-0%2F2%3Fmpre%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fitm%252Flike%252F272781500494%253Fchn%253Dps%2526dispItem%253D1%26itemid%3D272781500494%26targetid%3D336718829202%26device%3Dm%26adtype%3Dpla%26googleloc%3D9018656%26poi%3D%26campaignid%3D884212057%26adgroupid%3D41117159461%26rlsatarget%3Dpla-336718829202%26abcId%3D1128996%26merchantid%3D101811525%26gclid%3DEAIaIQobChMIsp3QzNey1gIVgkSGCh0npgHkEAQYBCABEgJt4fD_BwE%26srcrot%3D711-117182-37290-0%26rvr_id%3D1314533170320&chn=ps&dispItem=1&ul_ref=http%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F1%2F711-117182-37290-0%2F2%3Fmpre%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fitm%252Flike%252F272781500494%253Fchn%253Dps%2526dispItem%253D1%26itemid%3D272781500494%26targetid%3D336718829202%26device%3Dm%26adtype%3Dpla%26googleloc%3D9018656%26poi%3D%26campaignid%3D884212057%26adgroupid%3D41117159461%26rlsatarget%3Dpla-336718829202%26abcId%3D1128996%26merchantid%3D101811525%26gclid%3DEAIaIQobChMIsp3QzNey1gIVgkSGCh0npgHkEAQYBCABEgJt4fD_BwE%26srcrot%3D711-117182-37290-0%26rvr_id%3D1314533170320&ul_noapp=true Man now that's a link. Crap didn't see you had 2wd, I think this only works on 4x4
  8. Have you checked for AC noise, that alone can cause lots of issues. Apps I would recommend getting from Timbo not autozone.
  9. Could be in the shift tower if it's lose it won't travel fully. Next time you're on hwy try not using clutch and increase rpm and right before you let off try pulling shifter out of 5th, it should come out when speeds are matched. If this helps may be in shift tower.
  10. We'll be done learning when we're dead
  11. Kinda hard telling, usually something binds up or linkage, could be nut backed out and not enough movement for a fork to disengage, does shifter move at all or is it just stuck in one place. Also try pumping clutch pedal several times and then see if it comes out, maybe clutch not disengaging all the way.
  12. Bilstine 5100 and damper from orily part store, they had 2 options I believe it was 1/2" and 5/8 rod, I got 5/8. Think it was rancho or something similar. And I believe the one I took of my truck was a 5/8 also. Funny thing is it was still good but I was working on a Toyota 4rnr project and needed on at that moment so I took it off the truck so I could make brackets, by the time I was done I didn't feel like taking it back off so I went and bought a new one to put back on the truck.
  13. If it wasn't for this site, I probably would of sold the truck by now and not been any better of with other junk out there. I was ready to change the vp 3-4 years ago do to my surge but discovered other issues that contributed to that surge, like ac noise and injectors. Every once in a while I still get that very faint surge but nothing like before. So between all the things I learned here is a big part of the reason I still have my truck. That and it's paid for.
  14. @DieselJunkie what symptoms are you having with bad diaphragm, just curious Oh and what's a head gasket job cost on average for labor. Need to tell wife how much I saved.
  15. It sounds like a weak conection and requires more juce just to crank it over. Does it only do it in the morning after truck set all night, or every time you go to start it. Fill out your signature too, it may help us.
  16. I don't know but it almost sounds like a vp issue
  17. @903Dodge how do you like them so far, how much boost are you making. I looked at gates, then the ones you got (obviously wold like to go this route because of price ) and the ones @jlbayes provided link for which are not at 45 degree bend or at least I didn't see any, but price wise close to gates. The ones on vulcans site didn't look too impressive for the price. So now I'm scratching my head.
  18. I've never used torqe wrench on my valves I probably should. I always get close to filler guage and then I get nut close to being tight and then I move nut and allen at same time, I was told that way they never come lose. Worked every time for me. But it may take few times to get it right.
  19. That's weird, how far off were you. Cummins claims there is a pretty big gap something like 14 to 25 thousands is in spec. Don't quote me on exact number but it's pretty wild.
  20. Anyone used gates or BD from geanos? I'm looking at changing mine, rockauto also has gates. About $250 for all of them. Mine if pressurized to 25psl has tiny bobbles coming right through ruber if i use soap water. Not sure what they do at 40psi.
  21. You can probably pop most of that dent out by hand should be pretty easy, I'd try it if it was me. Maybe stick a 2x4 with a ball of rags on the end so you don't put small dents from 2x4 in a box and pry it out.
