  1. @Me78569 Forgive me but what vehicle selection do I need to chose for this new 2.7.2 betta release? I just reinstalled the app on my phone, my truck is 02 6spd. I'm going to try and play with it today and want to see new mpg and other options you've been working on. Thanks. edit: I'm guessing I need to chose v2 quadzilla only ? until they relise a new app vehicle that is specific? or is it v2 quadzilla only test2, because it says version 2.7
  2. That or it could be an axle shaft, had that happen before. Did everything possible on this van I had still had vibration, changed cv shaft and it went away. Weird part is it comes and goes, so I kinda think it's beads sticking to tire in one spot. Just wondering if I can put to many beads in and have an opposite affect.
  3. Just an update. Originally I put 6 oz in then added 1 more and then 1 more, so I now have 8oz and it seems to be working good now. 285/70/17. Recommended for that size is 6oz. Now I just put new tires on my car and used same beads 195/65/15 calls for 4oz, wasn't enough, put one more got better, decided to put one more 6oz total and seems it got worse like it did with 4oz originally. It kinda comes and goes, just wanted to let you guys know these beads don't always work, or I f...ed something up, maybe a bent rim.
  4. You sound like a younger guy, so don't feel bad not knowing something, all this time wasted now will pay for itself later. There's a lot to learn we all still learning.
  5. Just shooting in the dark here, if it's sat for two years where did it sit. Maybe some grounds or connectors got oxidized, maybe mice chewed on some wiring. Just having hard time believing that it ran fine and after sitting for two years it would not start and all the sudden you had to change ignition switch. I would double check wires where you messed with ignition, maybe one of those loose or not plugged in all the way.
  6. I think someone recently purchased and ECM from here https://www.remanautoelectronics.com/p/608-5-9L-Cummins-ECU.aspx Personally if I would pay 2500 for an ECM I would do a p pump instead.
  7. I belive I had that happen to me 5 years ago or so, I was playing around with my lift pump relay and same thing happened. After awhile it started and I never had a problem since.
  8. From what I know Delayed wts points to ecm not booting. If you hot wire the vp and it runs means vp it good. wish I knew more, don't want to miss lead. Sometimes you can find used ecm on Craigslist or something like it for few hundred bucks. Be nice if you knew someone that could let you borrow ecm from same truck to rool it out.
  9. If you're sure alternator is not putting out exessive ac noise then for now Does sound like a lose wire or conection.
  10. Ok ok you got me, I'll have to agree I had few close calls on hitting a deer or something similar and definitely wished I was driving a truck, and if I got kids I usually do drive a truck for that reason. If I'm by myself going to and from work I drive a car. Someday I'll have a job 10-20 minutes away then I'll jus have a truck, and maybe a second vehicle as a back up. But you got to remember too I don't leave out in middle of nowhere so getting help is usually not a big deal. Funny thing is I'm the one helping others.
  11. Yeah cars are not for everyone but they can save money if used right. One of my first jobs is pizza delivery and that's all I drove is front wheel drive cars. I learned how to do the impossible in ice and snow storms, would drift around cars on roads and if I got stuck I always got unstock by myself, had a small shovel in a trunk, but most of time was able to just drive out. It was actually fun, I always waited for bad weather as roads wold be more empty and I could make double the money. Plus people always tip more when it's crappie out. But the whole thing about money pits, it's all about what makes a guy happy. If you're always miserable then get rid of what ever it is that making you feel that way. May be hard at first but when looking back make you go, why didn't I do this sooner.
  12. Yeah from what I heard, ss exhaust stays heat soaked longer, so sounds normal.
  13. @Me78569 I might have asked this already but does latest version include all of the other versions in it and all the bug fixes or does a guy have to load each individual version one at a time until he gets to the latest version. Say for example I just bought a quad and it has old school comp 2000 on it do I need to load 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, etc till I get to the last one or do I just load 2.7 Thanks.
  14. Part of the reason I have a car that I put most miles on. It's a 2000 accord 4cyl 5 speed, one of the most trouble free cars I'm my opinion. Cheap to maintain and they usually go over 300k pretty easy. Does about 35 mpg on hwy. I know it's not the easiest thing to get in and out of but I'm used to it. I paid 1200 for it put new fuel tank, tune up timing kit, put 25k on old tires and just put a set of new ones on. I've had it for half of year now and put 25k on it and about 700 bucks including new Michelin defender tires. So now it's ready for at least another 60k before anything major. I've had same car before and never anything catastrophic, always something stupid like fuel relay, ac don't work, etc. I've also had Nissan sentras, not a bad car ether little smaller but better mpg, got as much as 45. People say they can't afford 2 vehicles but then spend thousands on big items on their trucks, I'll spend few thousand on a car put few hundred thousand miles on it and still sell it for 600 hundred bucks and save a bunch on fuel, truck staying with lower miles on clock and money I save driving a car sometimes gets spend on a truck. Of course it's a different story if you need a truck for work. I only use mine when needed and if it sits more then few weeks sometimes a month just to get it on the road and keep it happy.
  15. I just want to see where I'm going at night but budget is tite right now, just send ed down my yellow off and clear-coated them looks like new.
  16. I've found that most time if you can't do work yourself it cost way too much to keep an old vehicle. A lot of people these days choose to trade in every few years as it's cheaper in long run then keep paying someone to fix old. And not easy to find good help cheap. Most of us try to do what we can ourselves and it still costs a good bit. This is a crazy world we live in.
  17. Them seals are kinda forgiving, is it leaking between seal and shaft or seal and case, may have a scratch in shaft or something is lose like a bushing or bearing and causing vibration. Sometimes a seal can roll inwards on install and is not sealing on surface it was designed to seal on. Had that happen on a crank seal on a car. On my truck I have a small leak on a seal that comes out of back of tcase outputshaft. Changed twice still dripps, there is a bushing I'm thinking of changing but my driveshaft maybe vibrating, it's leaked ever since I had a well known driveline shop put new u joints in and balance. Went back and had them rebalance it stood and wached and machine said it was good. another thing is make sure all your vents are venting, if a vent is plugged it will create some pressure in the case and push fluid out. That's how I ended up changing my wheel seals before they needed to be changed, my rear end vent was plugged.
  18. Put a t on the line before vp at least a foot before, don't use tapped banjo. And then most will use a snubber or a small niddle/gate valve or both.
  19. Brake light and headlight switches could be burnt up causing issues, worth checking them out.
  20. If I'm thinking correctly then 2.7 should have them all included At idle it's between 1 and 2, so safe to say put 2 in there? Is it affecting mostly canbus tuning
  21. Just looking at new 2.7 release with boost offset, says for later trucks. Guessing that's why I'm seeing 10 psi on mechanical gauge and 6 on quad. How does this new feature work. Just put number 4 in that option?
  22. I've found that they had issues with some but not all, some were made in USA some in Japan. There were bad batches, I got lucky on one.
  23. No, ether rebuild your factory one assuming it is or buy one on line that is new factory replacement or have one built by someone that knows what ac noise is.
