  1. That's why I got a 62/67/12 in between 65 and 68 not that I know any better. Definitely more laggy than the stock hx35, but not hard to get used to.
  2. I agree with ^^^ I have 62/67/12 and 75 hp injectors, but with quad v2 I'm looking in to 150 hp injectors just not sure when, I have no leaks at injectors now and like it that way lol. Plus I'm pretty happy with what I have at the moment. But I'm sure time will come.
  3. For d rings, make your mounting brackets go through the bumper. So I used 1/2" on mine and then made another short piece to but up to main one, ended up being 1" total for d rings hook up. And very strong as you're not relying on welds to hold that tab on face of bumper.
  4. @Mopar1973Man you almost look like the undertaker from wrestling.
  5. Interesting, what's the deal with the valve cover cover.
  6. Any head been on the engine and even new usually need some shaving. I bought a set of Victor junior once, said bolt on out of the box and waisted a set of head gaskets. Put it all together and was about to fire it up and noticed antifreeze under the car on closer observation had a leak between block ad head, took it to machine shop to find out it was way warped, they took 20 thousands off and also half the valve guides were too tight. Later found out someone I knew did same thing and bent a rod with same heads on start up, antifreeze was in a cylinder when he fired it up for first time. He argued with edelbroke for few months then gave up. You probably be OK just cleaning head and block but it's your call. I would at least have them surface head, and maybe pull few exhaust valves to check seats and looseness on guides. But I also seen guys using an air gun to put heads on and be OK somehow. You know you get a feel for it after using it few times...... it's same guys that seem to know it all lol.
  7. Looks much better than mine did, all hone marks are nice. If nothing visual jumps at you I'd say just clean good and put it all back. Ran fine before right, just oil leak. As long as head checks out. I never trust anyone with parts and before taking in my head in i made few small markings on the head just so I knew I was getting mine back. Heard of some getting news like yours is junk need new one.
  8. How much does speedo get affected going from 235 to 285
  9. I'm running 285/70/17 and I think it's a good size all around. Sure my probably losing few mpgs but don't like pizza cutters look. Anything bigger and front end is going to fall up part quicker. I almost bought 285/75/17 because it was considered extreme size in toyos and they had side tread too, looked cool but I'm glad I didn't. Plus I'm having crap luck with these toyos. Be something else next time.
  10. Could it be 5th gear nut lose and gear slid back grinding on housing.
  11. I only had 160k on my original but had everything apart and decided to put new one on, but I put original in a box and under seat just in case.
  12. I always resized photos to 5mp before uploading them here and it worked fine. But on this phone is just got I can't seen to find option to do so.
  13. I'm using gates from geno's but only put 4k since I put it on. Heard good things about it, there is an article by geno's I belive comparing gates to Cummins.
  14. Did you lose a bolt for injector hold down, and yeah it looks like part of gasket got pushed up by oil pressure. Hopefully no damage to rocker assembly from oil starvation. When you clean the block careful not to drop anything down them oil holes. When you fire up engine all that junk will get pushed up to rocker. I was going to use some golfing tees but forgot when I did mine, and also was afraid to brake one off in a hole, maybe that's why I forgot too. They have some nice poly tees they bend and not break, just a thought. Good luck. Also if you take head in to clean and surface, when you get it back blow air through all passages to make sure no crap in there.
  15. So who's running this 2.7 Beta and that's the thoughts, I only drove the truck few times but planning on playing some tomorrow. Anything new happened lately. Is this going to stay as beta or going to be one of the version to use. Kinda like the instant MPG option not sure how accurate we can get but I think playing with it will get in ball park, be better then lieometer.
  16. I suppose it's only going to work with newer vehicles designed to use dipstick as extraction point and boats. Or am I missing something.
  17. Cool, would it give you all the sizes for pieces and angles.
  18. I used to be all over the place getting involved, now after having kids she hates it even when I'm in garage longer then 20 minutes always on my as.. Now waiting on kids to get a bit older so I can get them to like some things I did. Then I'll be like sorry kids want to go do it. See ya.
  19. Did she kick you out for getting twins
  20. All too familiar with BFF, they always come over when they need something but hey that's what friends are for. Just kidding there still good people out there...
  21. I like this app you provided @Me78569 I don't have to wonder when I can start hitting buttons anymore, just wait for that yellow bar to load and woala.
  22. Thanks, I'll read it few more times and maybe watch some videos about it to fully get it. I thought just upgrading my hx35 to hybrid was good but more I look into it more I'm thinking about compounds. But have so many other places I need to spend money on. Maybe I'll come across a used setup if I knew what I need.
