  1. In my case it was wore out valve guides Also could be clearance issue if you have a bigger cam or did some mods
  2. They still got deals going on at TRS if you want to do it yourself, h1 would be easy to retrofit.
  3. how is that working for you Now that I'm going to be in the club of Morimoto's I've been reading all threads on lights lol. It makes so much more sense going with HID's now that I've looked into it. Glad I procrastinated long enough and didn't do anything till now. Being lazy pays off sometimes
  4. Sometimes a worn out vp will do that.
  5. I don't want to advise you to run it the way it is but I think it should be fine for a while. It's not cracked to water passage. Eventually it will probably get worse but you may get another 100k out of it the way it is. Tough call, talk with a good machine shop. Once it gets to the valve it will act like a torch and crack will get bigger.
  6. Yeah by the way you guys are a bad influence on me spending money, but I can't wait to be able to see.... early Christmas is what I told my wife. Now I'm anxious to work on my truck again.
  7. Ok so I think I got it, here are the lights that I think retroshop use in their kits maybe not, but it is what I just ordered. https://m.ebay.com/itm/94-01-Dodge-Ram-1500-2500-3500-Crystal-Black-Headlights-Pair-Left-Right/382119162938?epid=1739529294 and here is a link to my cart for D2S. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/projector-kits/retrofit-kits-universal/bixenon-morimoto-mini-d2s-stage-3.html?preselect=51537%2C47668%2C51865%2C49468%2C47310%2C50242 I ended up not going with halo option for few reasons. Total was $410, we'll see what it turns out like. Hope I got the right stuff. Thanks for the help everyone.
  8. @Marcus2000monster if you don't mind I'll ask a few questions here as I'm now also looking at Morimoto's and don't want to start a new thread. I've looked on TRS site where @Me78569 and @jlbayes and few others got their kit. They have a sale going on now and I would love to know exactly what to get as this is all new to me. Kit mentioned above is for mini h1 do these guys have d2s by chance. I also called Retro Shop where @Mopar1973Man got his and left him a message asking if they got deals today. Mike do you know what housings you got with your d2s lights, I like the idea of one piece and the look of it, not like factory 2 pice with turn light separate. Sitting here wishing I knew more so I can get the ball rolling but don't want to make an expensive mistake. Thank you all. OK little update. I think I kinda know what to get from TRS site. I found the D2S kit now just trying to figure out what to chose. Can someone look at this link and see if I got the right wireing and also I'm confused on halos what size to get, do they all fit just different width. I like the idea of them being driving lights and turn signal lights. Just not sure how many millimeters. Thanks again. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/projector-kits/retrofit-kits-universal/bixenon-morimoto-mini-d2s-stage-3.html?preselect=51537%2C47668%2C51865%2C49468%2C47310%2C50242%2C50173
  9. Yeah, it's because it will be Electric lol.
  10. Well it's still not horrible, more fancy more money, just how it usually is. Plus more cubic inches, and a heavier truck. I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually to be in a happy spot.
  11. Unfortunately I didn't reinvent the wheel, I just noticed no one mentioned that the problem can be in that spot, so I put in my . Wish I was that smart sometimes
  12. They are a sealed bearing type, you could probably try to get some oil pass the seal but I would just change them, they're not hard to do. Also when I changed diodes in my Bosch it only fixed half the ac noise I had to do brushes and slip ring to get it right. Mine were tack welded in, I soldered them back in, after squeezing them together.
  13. On my truck it was condensation from hvac, don't need to turn ac on, defrost will turn it on for you as default. Put a chunk of hose on the other side of firewall on hvac nippel where it drips, so when driving down the road wind doesn't push water past that foam seal.
  14. I've greased mine and shortly after I had abs light come and go, every time it gets cold out like now in 30s light doesn't come on. I'm guessing grease is staying solidified and not getting where it shouldn't be. maybe I greased them to late and bearings are on the way out just buying time now. I did changed sensors with no difference. Seems only when it's cold light stays off.
  15. I wanted to test the water first before I went swimming.
  16. I've used that method for a long time, cut half way and bend. What I do afterwards is used a regular grinder blade and trace all the cuts trying to keep straight lines, then set welder up so it flows like lava kinda basically fill the gap without bunching up. You can always grind some off too. Looking good though I love doing this kind of stuff, just not time.
  17. If you're still using factory apps I would change it out just to be safe, sooner or later factory one will give you a headache anyway.
  18. @TFaoro nice welding goggles, are these self dimming. I'm sorry I couldn't control myself. You can let me have it, I will not fight back. I am smiling for some reason though. Please don't take this wrong way, I'm still posting this comment.
  19. Yeah still a bit far just to go have a beer, lol. But appreciate the offer.
  20. Where is this download section I can't seem to find it. Trying to upload my current daily driver tune to repository.
  21. Man do I sometimes wish I leaved in your neighborhood, I'd be over there restocking your fridge with beer on regular basis lol. But that's probably why you leave where you do, you like you're space. Can't blame you for that.
  22. Yes Zach, I believe it was 800 bucks for him to build me one. They charge around 100 for a core so I kept mine. And just had him send me a turbo, less turnaround time in my case. But you're limited to 3" outlet, if I didn't like my exhaust break I would of went with 4" outlet for better flow.
