Looks like I may have lost ANOTHER Vp-44.... looking for options and ideas
I hate crimp connections, if I crimp I also solder it and don't use acid core it will eat wires slowly, use regular solder and clean as good as you can. Not saying that's your problem but don't trust crimp connections. I quoted wrong guy but you get the idea.

Weld it back with a piece of pipe slide over the cut

Steering Box Leaking
Maybe put a brace on the new box unless you already got one, might prolong the life of new box.

Miss at all RPMs
Do you have exhoust brake? If not then go to blue chip site and read all this http://m.bluechipdiesel.com/site/vp44_diagnostics.html?imz_s=1scguk7n8bmkl247o3ocra7161 It will help you diagnose vp better and he's got other tricks to check sensors etc. reason I asked about exhoust break is when I changed my injectors I hooked vacum lines backwards and truck had eb on all the time that was right after my injector change freked me out I thought my new injectors were f up. But you know s happens.

What's wrong with filing filters with fuel? How do you know if tranny fluid doesn't have any crap in it. If it's such a big deal set up some sort of portable filter from 5 gallon can and run fuel through 2 micron filter to fill a filter for the truck. I might be missing a point here.

Coil Springs
That makes me fill a little better, I think 988 is 5200lb and 987 is 5000lb or something like that, I ended up ordering both same.

Coil Springs
Ok thank you, I couldn't find them anywhere so I went with http://www.moparpartsdiscounted.com/oemparts/dodge-120/52113988AA.html that Wild and Free suggested, hopefully I done get screwed with that website. I ended up ordering 2 of 988 $260 shipped. We'll see what happens.

Coil Springs
I'm about to pull a trigger on the ones you provided link to, I found that passenger and driver has different numbers, on a different form people say 047 and 048 are the ones you got both the same numbers? I guess you put stiffer spring in driver side for fuel tank and driver, I don't see how it would affected it that much anyway just checking. Thanks. I'm editing this again sorry, so here is 2 links http://www.factorymopar.com/oemparts/dodge-120/52113987aa.html And http://www.factorymopar.com/oemparts/dodge-120/52113988aa.html would this be left and right or should I get both 988 to be safe so I don't get one dodge and one civic spring. Has anyone used ether one of these sites? They look like a same one to me. Factorymopar.com and Moparpartsdiscounted.com

No Codes but will surge a little on steady hwy speeds or up hills Please Help!!!
Sorry I didn't mention that I don't have factory housing, I took it off. All I got is ad150, and when my problem went away for almost a year I never changed filters before or after, and my pressure is still 19 under load.i don't drive much a year and don't change filters every year, I don't think they break down. I know a guy that got expedition for about 6 years now and he never changed oil or filter, somehow it still runs. He puts maybe 5k a year on it. I'm sure it will blow up eventually.

VP44 help
Thank you! After my experience with them I think of them as another sales person not a real person. We need more people like Gould gear, Larry B, Blue Chip, etc. they actually take time and explain things.

VP44 help
That just sucks ***, everyone seem to like DAP but I had some problems with them, and i was willing to work with them but was really hard to get my point across, I don't want to go In detail but they even admitted their fault and still wanted me to pay. I personally not going to deal with them anymore. Make your own opinion.

Fuel economy jump
This is what I think, anyone wants to buy a truck for mpg needs to be slapped, I got a little car I drive daily and I don't like it but I do it. It saves me enough money to spent on my truck. And most of time I use my truck as a truck. I'm not saying getting better mpg out of it doesn't make since, just saying buying big *** diesel and expecting Prius mpg is silly. Not trying to start a war but just an opinion. I might be off subject.

Dealer says high idle won't work because of remote starter/alarm
Doesn't that just makes you want turn his light off, I get pist when have to deal with retards that think they know everything.

I don't think you can prime oil anyway, engine got to be spinning for that to happen, a little screwy but that is how it is. To make you feel better my dad has a zx300 turbo and I chenged oil in it 10 years ago he starts it every few years and drives it around neighborhood. One time his turbo didn't work for first few miles and than came back to life. I know it's not the way you do that but he don't care he just wants to be buried in that car when he goes. Yeah I know ...

VP44 help
I wouldn't mess with anything but vp, if it worked prefect before and you changed vp than there is your problem. I've done that mistake before on a gas engine changed a part and it ran like crap so... Start throwing parts at it just to come back to a brand new part that was defective. Or maybe something got unplugged while removing and installing vp, make sure all wires are plugged in all the way. When I bought my truck vp plug was half way out not sure how it was running.

Coil Springs
Where did you buy your plow springs and how much, maybe part # ,and how much rougher ride is if any? Thank you.

Coil Springs
Can you tell me where you got these springs and how much and was it 1.5" lift over stock? and you also used 1.5" spacer? So you got total of 3" Reason I'm asking is I'm building a front bumper and only want to lift it maybe 1.5" and hopefully bumper sags it .5" so I would see total of 1" lift. I don't want anymore. And would rather go with springs than spacers. Thanks.

3rd gen front breaks on 2nd gen
That I don't know, I just researched my truck. I would think its possible but will take more work, and spacing might be off.

3rd gen front breaks on 2nd gen
Yes and need 17" rims to clear, if your local parts store don't have caliper brackets partsgeek.com has them, everything i got was for 2004 model to be safe.

Suggestion's for upgrade's for Heavy 5th wheel towing?
No problema, is yours 2wd? Ether way after so many miles bushing can wear out and will ruin seal quickly. I don't think it's that hard to change. Put you truck in neutral and see how much play you got up and down where driveshaft goes in tranny, a little is ok and if you see seal flexing then you know you need bushing and new seal again. I bought a bushing for my truck from local tranny shop for $10 but don't need to change it yet, changing seal was all I needed.

AirDog 150 in cold weather
Not sure what ether one looks like inside but if I had to guess pretty similar, difference one is driven by belt and the other electricity. And I still ththink restriction will be in filters, and if push them with too much pressure might collapse media. Just my guess.

MY time has come!
Pads were out on one side dew to sliders are rusted up and out of grease. Also when you get them out use a round file or something to clean the hole they are in, rust will swell rubber and pinch off sliders. And use special grease don't use anti seize it will dry out.

3rd gen front breaks on 2nd gen
I look at it that way too only when you get them spinning it helps like big tiers I got on my toy I can let off gas and they still turn for a while
