Poor ac cooling as ambient temperature increases
My suggestion was going to be more airflow through radiator and condenser, I had an rx7 once and after body kit my ac didn't work worth of crap, only at hwy speed it would be ok. Took it to ac shop and guy put a big as. Fan in front of car and ac worked perfect. Never did cut any holes in new bumper, but that was the problem, restricted air flow.

New injectors now starting takes a little longer
Might not be a bad choice, as nobody messed with 245s, and with edge it would be a good setup. Hopefully dap can take yours back and give you hell of a deal on rvs as they are not going to give you your original injectors back for a core you gave them.

No Codes but will surge a little on steady hwy speeds or up hills Please Help!!!
Thanks for making me feel better Tom, I thought Mike was saying anything over .02 is not great. But I guess it did go from .5 to .05 so that tells me I did something right. I'll post real results later when I get to tow again.

New injectors now starting takes a little longer
I guess if it ran fine before and now not, problem is in injectors, someone smarter than me will catch up to this post and give you other things to check for.

New injectors now starting takes a little longer
I guessing you put new o-rings on crossover tubes with some oil and new washers on injectors, and made sure old crupper washer is not on bottom of head and came out with old injectors.

New injectors now starting takes a little longer
I hear you, but lately a lot of people been getting screwed, and that's part of reason the only time I take my vehicles to the shop is for alignment, tire balance or something I can't do myself.

Hard start after sitting over night, losing prime maybe?
Agree, eliminate the obvious first then see how it acts, and then will think of other possible issues, if you figure it out update this thread so everybody is aware. If hoses are old and cracked replace them.

I don't think they are new, maybe sonic cleaned and pop tested, you want to check each cylinder temp, at same spot as close to head as possible, 20-40 f might be ok IMO, anything like 50 or more would be a concern. Seems like first and last will be cooler and rest will be slightly hotter. You'll need a laser temp gauge to check it with. It's actually not laser but thermo something, laser just get you to right range.

New injectors now starting takes a little longer
You know on the other note I'm not too impressed with dap and wouldn't put it passed that new injector is leaking, see if temps are way different when idling.

Looks like I may have lost ANOTHER Vp-44.... looking for options and ideas
There you go http://store.alternatorparts.com/ibr256---bridge-rectifier.aspx Check your amps on back of alternator, this place has both. Also my brushes were wore 3/4 or better got them from cluod gear with bearings, for $35 shipped. One bearing was stamped AVF and the other just numbers, B17-99D was big one with AVF on inner race, and 6003RD for smaller one.

No Codes but will surge a little on steady hwy speeds or up hills Please Help!!!
Not sure if anyone is still reading this, just rebuilt my alternator and it wasn't that hard just had to take it one step at a time. Got new bearings, brushes, and racktifire. All went smove but a stud on rectifier was too short and thin. Used old one. Got windings pinched and soldered, tested for ac noise and was surprised to find .02 at idle and .05 revved up to about 2500. I know that Mike say no more than .02 but this is all new parts. Before it would clime to a least .5 I checked old diodes and got .536 from the ones in metal and plastic and low 500s from the metal strip ones not sure which ones are bad if any. My guess the ones with low 500s are bad someone school me. Also the more i check it less voltage drop I get, first time was .556then .536 and now .528, but between two strips there is a consistent gap of .30 or so, maybe battery in meter is slowly dying. I might go to RadioShack and see if they have diodes so I can repair this racktifire and keep I as spear, or figure out if I just had bad connection and solder these better together as factory has some sort of cheap spot welds on these, some of them came apart easy and some not. I did not drive truck long enought to see if it still surges, but my tach seems to be more steady. There are two pictures of rectifier one from website has a longer stud the one I got from local guy I had to put my old stud in, but they were both with 60amp diodes.

Torque Converter Lock / Unlock Issues
Test alternator for diodes at good shop that know what they're doing, I tested mine at orilys and it was good, then on some old school analog machine and nidle was almost all the way on bad for diodes, but still was good on charge. And make sure if you use voltmeter to rev the engine up slowly and you'll see ac voltage will go up.

Does anyone know where I can get rectifier( diode pack ) for my alternator, it's Bosch 0-124-525-005 local guy was supposed to get it and not sure if he will, just curious if you guys new a place. Thanks. Ok I just found this place in case someone out there needs one http://store.alternatorparts.com/ibr256---bridge-rectifier.aspxthis is 117-132amps and this http://store.alternatorparts.com/ibr225--.aspx 132-136 amps Maybe there are other places cheaper let me know.

Fuel Gelled
I see, the guy I'm talking about is really hard to convince, and I mentioned 2stroke oil and got a dumb look back, I talked to him before and got similar responses back so I'm just going to let him be. He actually got a diesel shop, mostly fixes farm stuff, busses, tractors, and not cheap ether but some of the most common things he never heard off.

Fuel Gelled
Thanks for clarifying kerosine this fast, no I'm not gelled, I was just reading old posts and came across this one that nobody mentioned kerosine so I tossed it in there. Dude

bosch injector testing
Great videos and post, I was always wandering what just got confirmed.

Fuel Gelled
Has anyone tried adding kerosine to diesel, guy at work does it to all his farm stuff says it helps. Not sure of ratio but I think he said 10 gallons to 50 is what he does. I thought kerosine was like jet fuel. Just bringing this thread up as it might get cold soon. And not sure where he gets it but he's got 50 gallon drums of it.

385 hp @ 2,800 rpm
You're gonna hate me, but why buy a big truck with a huge diesel to drive around empty and then ask for good mpg? Why not just get something like crv or Subaru if you need 4wd and decent mpg for awd. I know truck are cool but I just don't get it.

Vacuum pump oil leak x2
I Agree, make sure it's coming from new seals and not from reman crap I seen brand new stuff from parts store that is junk.

Did you follow instructions from cloud gear and didn't force antything thogether, it should just slide all back and not be forced. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vJhR48a-9R8

Coil Springs
Thanks for this post and replies, I got both 988 left and right and works great. About 3/4 to 1" of lift up front, and ride is great too. Exactly what I was hoping for.

No Codes but will surge a little on steady hwy speeds or up hills Please Help!!!
Ok after all this time I decide to check ac noise again and this time I'm reading .00 at idle .2 at 1200 .5 at 2000 and so on. Took it to parts store test passed but I already new that was not the case after reading other posts, so I found local guy that fixes alternators and starters he checked it and his little analog gauge was showing almost bad for diodes. He said, yeah need new rectifier, so he ordered one $40 out the door, was supposed to be here today but now it will be Monday. I got bosch and not denso, and according to him bosh will be discontinued soon, so maybe I should buy 2 of them. I sure hope that this stupid intermittent issue I had with this truck for like 3-4 years now will soon be over. I will update results as soon as I get it fixed.

Starting after outdoor storage
Got a friend who's got ton of military vehicles most of them with full tank of diesel, some of them haven't been started for years. When he need one or the other things fire right up, most of them have solar chargers on the hood come standard I guess.
