Thats the problemm with that year of truck. You should be getting "done" twice. Maybe your not waiting long enough for the second done. The code is only from one computer. You could still have codes in the other computer.

Airdog pressure
That's a good psi at idle. What is it at WOT? The check valve on the pump opens at 14 psi. So anything above is good.

Big trouble costing me big money.....
The website you listed says "the pump has a Limited Warranty". Double check to make sure that it is a Lifetime Warranty. I have seen some websites not giving the the Lifetime Warranty!

Air Dog Raptor w stock FF
You need a fuel pressure gauge instead of a warning light! All a warning light is going to do is to tell you that you WILL be buying a injection pump. A pressure gauge will help you prevent you from buying a pump. Usually a light comes on at 5 psi (the damage is done at this point) and the pump needs a minimum 10 psi to operate. Most of us are running between 14 and 20 psi.

When you replace them, do them at the same time! You will have troubles if you only replace one.

Maybe I missed it. Was he able to get the odometer reset? Probably cost him an arm and a leg to have that done!

home to install new ADII
If you have a pump by the block it would be by the fuel filter cannister. Or bump the starter and listen for the noise of the pump running. That would tell you where the pump is at!

Our Friends at The Dealer!
I wish it would do some good, he has that "deer in the headlights look" when I tell him all these things about his truck. " dobienut, I guess it's no good for him to cry over spilt milk now, nothing he can do to get his money back." He wouldn't go back and say anything more, he is too calm and fun loving, not a mean bone in his body.

Our Friends at The Dealer!
The guy who does the horseback rides from our vineyard has a Dodge 99 3500 dualie. His truck quit running the other day. The dealer said he had a 251 and 253 code. They replaced the VP ($1453), the intank module ($695), labor ($795), and misc. items for a total 0f $2995. He doesn't know anything about his truck. He pulls a 5 horse trailer all the time to our place. We have a very steep hill to get here. Anyways, I was telling him the importance of 14 psi minimum, and an after market fuel pump. He went back to the dealer and they told him that this was a new and improved pump! It only needed to put out 10 psi! They told him everything would be fine with this setup. Now he is kicking him self in the rear because of what I told him the minimums were and how much he got nailed for!

Ac work
Use a 3/8 ratchet on the tension pulley. Fits right in to the marking on the pulley. Use a cheater bar and you just push and the pulley retracts and you can put the belt on very easy by yourself.

DTC Troubleshooting Once Again...
http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/vp44-replace/vp44-replace.htm Here is a write up for replacement. Like Flagman says, you need to find out what caused it. What kind of fuel pressure do you have? How good is your lift pump operating? http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummins/2ndgen24v/lift-pump-diag/lift-pump-diag.htm Your looking at $1000 for the pump and if you don't have a good lift pump then upto $500 for that, depending on which one you get.
