Would there be any interest in a interior refinishing write up?
Absolutely. There is always someone that could benefit from your experience.

Random ABS light and weird braking performance
I just looked up the application chart and it is quite random. Good for 96-97 and then for 2003-2009, (skip 2010) but good for 2011 and 2012. Guess you should have read the fine print. Sorry to see you spend money on something like that.

Fuel Pressure too high or too low?
My pressure sits right at 16-17 with my fuel boss. I don't see the increase in pressure that others see with increased RPMs, my pressure doesn't move much at all. The only time I had issues was right after I installed it. My pressure sunk to about 5psi. I cleaned the bypass and I haven't had any issues since. Richard at GDP told me that the fuel line can have debree in them that will fowl that bypass. I guess I should have blown it out before installing it. You'll like the fuel boss, pretty trouble free.

Towing and tire chains
It is kind of like insurance. You pay for it in hopes to never have to use it, but you are sure glad you have it when you need it.

Random ABS light and weird braking performance
I think that sounds like solid plan. For the price that you posted from Amazon it looks like you got a still. Especially with you line of work, it seems like a great tool to have available. I'm anxious to hear your review on it. It would be nice to have tools like this available to rent from this site. However, that would create the potential for lots of other problems.

Random ABS light and weird braking performance
Wow, that is quite the price difference. I'm interested to see what you find with this. What is your opinion of working with Module Masters? I surfed through their web site, they claim they know what they are doing. How did your ABS module look when you got it back? Was it put back together pretty well? (aside from your problem not going away.)

So what do yall' like to do besides work on trucks?
I've been reloading .40 S&W, .38, .357, .45 ACP, .30-30, and 7MM-08. I've never got into casting, not sure it is even something I'm interested in but I've watched a few you tube videos on it. I just watched a guy review a .22 reloading kit. It came with a mold, primer material, and crimpers. It was a real interesting video but certainly not worth the work--for .22 bullets. maybe one day I'll get into casting some bullets. the_hammer what powder is hard to find? Last year rifle powder and pistol powder was non existent. last Spring the rifle powder became more common and now pistol powder is pretty easy to find. It sucks not being able to find what you are looking for. And you are right, shipping that stuff isn't cheap.

Ice Fishing, wish I could do it all year Shooting and Reloading Camping and Fishing---Hunting if I have to (My boy loves it more than I) Gardening and Yard work We raise and process our own chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese. 4H Projects for my boys, they raise Hogs and Lambs for the county fairs This is what I like doing in my free time I always wondered how many people on here also reload. I just loaded 100 rounds of .45, another 300 rounds and I'll be set for next year. I've been working on loads for my 7MM-08 and I have got that pretty dialed in. When the weather warms up I hope to play around with it to see if I can really come up with a nice load. I am also in the market for a new rifle. I've been looking at a Browning X Bolt in .300 Win Mag. There are lots of options for reloading for that and you can really get that bullet moving. We'll have to compare notes sometime.

inexpensive borescope
I wouldn't mind something like this to run down a rifle. Thanks for the link.

Finally install my NEW Mopar1973Man High Idle Kit
Sounds like you guys are selling these pretty well. That is great.

Can a man just get a break?
$142 is pretty cheap in comparison what backed up sewage can do. Glad you got it taken care of and that it wasn't any worse.

Random ABS light and weird braking performance
How difficult are these to rebuild? As difficult as it seems to buy a good one, is it possible to source quality parts and rebuild a solid alternator economically?

I have the 30" FTE resonator and I really like it. It has great sound and no drone.

Rough Start This Morning
I checked the voltage this morning. The first cycle, at both posts on the grid there was just over 9 VDC. The FSM said there should be 12....hmmm. With each post, as I held it there,. the voltage quickly dropped until the relay swapped. The second cycle, the voltage started closer to 7 vdc. Something isn't right. I checked the batteries each time, and when the grids were cycling they were showing 11.55 VDC. And just over 12 when the grids weren't on. It is a little warmer today and it started up just fine.

Rough Start This Morning
The batteries are good, it was turning over just fine and strong. I'm assuming that there should be 12 vdc at each post on the intake heater, correct? I still leaning away from it being a fuel issues, but I've been wrong before. I looked over the motor this evening and I can't see any obvious sign of a fuel leak. The motor was still warm and the grids weren't kicking on, I guess I'll wait until the morning, supposed to be cold again.

Rough Start This Morning
No, it has only sat for a few day, nothing out of the normal. I haven't been having any hard start issues prior to this. Maybe it is a loss of prime issue, but that seems the least likely to me. I'm off tomorrow so I should have time to look at it, I'll let you know what I find.

Rough Start This Morning
How long after normal idling will 3cyl kick in?
-
Rough Start This Morning
This is the coldest I've started it recently, yes. It didn't seem like a normal hard start due to fuel. It was trying to ignite, just couldn't. I'll look into that. It will be easy enough to hit it with a DVM and check for power. Thanks for the ideas.

Rough Start This Morning
Thanks Michael, I'll check that tonight. No High Idle Switch yet. That is on the to do list, hopefully soon.

Rough Start This Morning
I recently had the high idle enabled on my truck, as a matter of fact, I haven't driven the truck since I did that. I went out this morning to start it and it had a heck of a time firing. It would try to start, catch for just a second and then die. I cycled the grid heaters a couple of times, not sure if that helped. It finally did start and it ran like a pig. I've never seen, first hand, a truck run on 3 cyl, but I imagine this was it. It seemed like there was a miss, sounded awful. You should have seen my wife's face when I went back in the house. After about 10 seconds the idle changed in an instant and ran smooth; the RPMs ran up to around 1200ish (High idle?) Before flashing the ECM, I have never had any rough starts like this in the cold, the temp this morning was only about 25*, never any issues starting in colder temps. Maybe cold fuel?? I am questioning why it was such a tough start. It shouldn't have started in 3 cyl because it was cold enough, right? It wasn't plugged in, I'm sure that would have helped. Any thoughts, or is this normal High Idle software activity?
