  1. So last night I went to the store to get some flowers and a card for the wife. We have an agreement no vday stuff, so I thought it would be nice to get her something yesterday. I went into the card isle, and was suprised that I had to walk all the way to the back past the 100's of easter cards and birthday cards to find a general " I love you " type sappy card. Found a nice blue card, 2 people on the front mid chest down holding hands sitting in country attire saying something to the effect of "no matter what I love you yadda yadda" It was gooshy enough I felt sick buying the thing, but I knew the wife would like it. Took it home signed it with a message, nothing out of the norm. Gave her the flowers and card and she like them and we go on with life. So this morning I am getting ready and I hear my wife laughing. She yells to come back to the bedroom. I get back there and she is holding the card and tells me to look at the cover. took me about 20 seconds but I finally realized that the 2 people on the front of the card where not man and women, rather man and man........... only way you could see that was the hands and less than feminine body structure of either. After you look at them specifically for that it is clear. Now I really don't care that much about other peoples personal choices, that's their right judge lest ye be judged. What I was truly shocked by is 1. there were only ~4 general I love you type cards, and this was the only one with people on it. 2. it honestly seemed as if they hid the fact that it was 2 guys on the front of the card. It just seems that more and more the vast minority is pushing for this type of thing being the norm in day to day life.
  2. The quad has its own way of doing high idle. It will work so long as the quad is installed
  3. @Carbur8tr the boost backdown starts at backdoown psi - 2 so it will try and keep boost in that area. that's why you saw it trying to hold at 18, thats the only way I can attempt to keep boost from overshooting to far. I know what you mean about hunting. It will ramp down fuel, then if it hits the limit as boost is falling it will add fuel back at %25 the rate.
  4. smarty on s03 in mpg mode tries to hold timing between 17* and 20*. It will not allow timing to drop hard like oem timing. My truck seemed to sit in the 18* range for timing when at cruise on lvl 0.
  5. Yep 17* based for cruise timing. Smarty s03 set to MPG mode tries to reach ~20* at cruise state.
  6. Honestly I think most of the VP44 failures were related to the actual deisgn of the vp rather than input fuel shortcomings. Things like -non-leaded soldier coming into play -bad hardness in the timing piston -change to ulsd fuel in the middle etc. I would wager that later revision vp44's would live a long happy life with very little inlet pressure. Obviously we want to try and make them last as long as possible so we kepe pressure up lube the fuel etc.
  7. when you get your ADR box in let me know, I will help you get the flasher program going on your computer. Lifes always better when you can flash any tune you want
  8. Awesome news. Got ya. glad your eco tune is getting sorted. I can't reverse the setting, its needed for the perf side of things to work in that manner. However Tyler was smart enough to tell me to turn it off if it was set to 0 haha.
  9. Err. Did boost settle? I can't help the blow through thing. Too many setups to know but it should pull fuel rapidly to get boost back down. As for boost when cold. Not possible without a TON of work.
  10. Stacking tuners that alter canbus is never a good idea, but it isn't whats causing your issues. The smarty rewrites the boost limit in the ECM. I would unload the smarty and see if it acts better. The edge is limit what the ecm sees for boost to ~20 psi so the smarty tuning never knows it is at high boost.
  11. I think I know what you guys are talking about. It's light lope / hollow sounding idle? However this only happens for me on deceleration no load, and this has always done it for me since day 1 of owning the truck. Maybe I am used to it ?
  12. Fuel load timing doesn't have any sway at cruise state.
  13. WTS delayed start is a sure fire sign the ECM is dying. The WTS coming on is the indicator for the ecm moving data into memory, IE booting up. Test and clean ALL grounds. Use die-electric grease on every plug under the hood. And prep to replace your ecm.
  14. I feel that erroring on the side of caution is best in this case.
  15. I forgot, Are you planning on stepping up injectors?
  16. I understand %110, You might want to try to sell it on ebay or Facebook or something. I hate to say it but the V2 tuning really sunk the used tuner market.
  17. on my 3rd lifetime oriellys pump, Id do napa if I was gonna do it again.
  18. let me ponder it, I really wish I knew more about why the ecm did stuff, rather than just the result of what the ecm does haha.
  19. @Carbur8tr Is lope the right word to use? I guess I am confused as to the situtation as your logs show a steady idle, all be it lower than normal. trying to think of 1. why a "lope" sound without a lope idle 2. why ecm would be causing the above 3. why revs are lower than normal. What is the ecm reacting to? truly perplexing.
  20. I love data Both egt and boost, but I can't test egt because I can't hardly hit 1200* lol So it the lope audible or visual on the tach or both?
  21. @Mopar1973Man alright I have reverted the trigger for what gets pushed to the screen for timing, again I cannot predict accurately when a electric CC truck is truly at cruise so keep that in mind. HOWEVER, the Quad will show Quad timing if the Quad thinks the truck is at cruise state so you will know that the screen shows that correctly. It will however havea bug on the other end of the spectrum, IE deceleration/ engine braking etc. 6 in one had half dozen in the other. I posted the update to the windows 10 thread. The triggers for cruise state 1. cruise timing setting > 0 2. MPH between 81 and 40 mph 3. rpm between 2401 and 1399 4. Quadzilla load is within %10 of the reading ~3 seconds before. ** this is what will kick out cruise timing %99 of the time. Quad load will spike beyond that without much TPs movement. 5. MPH is stable within 3 mph for 3 seconds prior 6. boost is under the cruise boost limit, if you want to disable the limit set this variable to 0 psi and timing will stick regardless of how high boost rises. If all of those are true then cruise timing is enabled.
