And he said, Let there be Light!
I am gonna mount some 9004 in the high beams and run them too since halogens do a good job of throwing light.

Because, Roadkill. If you like wrenching for the sake of wrenching, come on in.

hard start
sorry I am not %100 sure what you are saying, Are you asking if you can have a air leak in your cross over lines that you cannot see and that can cause hard start issues?

Happy Thanksgiving
A little treat for your thanksgiving. Eggnog Recipe multiple recipe in batches of 4 eggs 4 Eggs (fresher the better) 1/3 cup sugar + 1 tbps sugar seperate 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup heavy cream or coconut milk if milk is an issue 1 pint milk or almond milk 4 oz spiced rum ( adds great taste, but you can do without it too) How to do it.... serperate out your egg white and yokes in different bowls. set aside your white and the 1 tbsp sugar for later - In a large mixing bowl use a mixer to mix the egg yokes until they turn a lighter shade of yellow. - Add in your sugar slowly until completely disolved. - Once all the sugar is mixed in add your cream - still mixing and then add your Milk - add nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla continue to mix - add Rum! once mixed good let it cool in the fridge. Once the mixture is chilled take your bowl of egg whites and mix them on very High speed in the mixer adding the sugar until you have soft peaks. Serve by pouring the large mixture then topping with the whites. Enjoy!

He351ve stand alone Arduino controller code for 2nd Gen Cummins
Really? Who on earth thinks a simple servo motor can't be controlled with an arduino. And thanks it has been a good bit of work but it is beyond nice now. Very smooth and flexible. WAY better than a spring controller.

The changes I made to curve select works really well. You effectively set the lowest power curve and adjust the pot in the cab for the fuel you have. Way way down the road, I think I could have a "setup" feature. You go out, set the turbo to WOT position manually, do a WOT run, if shaft speeds are lower than 130k you adjust the pot and repeat until you find the sweet spot for the end position for the turbo. You could map the rest of the curve off of that pretty easy. Anyways I am using SpeedOffset = map(turbo_rpm, 0, 140000, 1, 20); to give a variable based on shaft speed that I can use to alter the turbo position. A value of 40 is ~1cm that plus if (timer % 900) {FuelOffset = map(PotentiometerValue, 1000, 0 , 10, 1);} to define the pot value into a readable tubro positon, Then to alter the curve I have this at the end of the Poscalc section vane_position -= (FuelOffset * SpeedOffset); Effectively The Poscalc section defines x vane position at x shaft speed. then after I have calc'd that position I then minus ( make turbo bigger) by the above 2 multipled by each other. You could in theory give you full range of the turbo via the Pot. Works pretty well from my limited testing so far.

Had a thought that I am going to work on. I think I have been going at it wrong in terms of the ablilty to select multiple curves. Right now I have 4 curves mpg, tow, dd, and perf. These all have different vane position per the turbo shaft speed, but each of these curves is linear to each other. so rather than using the pot to select a curve I think I am going to have pot define what I will call the fuel offset. Since the turbo spools in the same manner regardless of fueling, IE slow to increase speed at x rpm vs slingshot at x rpm, the base curve will be configured in a manner than increases vane size in relation to RPM / turbo map, but the Fuel offset will define how much that curve is increased / decreased. This SHOULD make it useable on any application without changing the code, rather you define the fuel you are throwing at it via a knob and you are good to go.

Super B Update
Larger turbine has more weight, rotational mass, and requires more airflow to spin so longer spool time. Smaller turbine wheel builds more pressure VIA input CFM of exhaust so it will spool faster, but will not be able to flow as much on the top end. so a 12 cm exhaust turbine will spool faster than a 14cm exhaust turbine if the rest of the turbo is the same. Same weight principles apply to the compressor wheel.

Yea I plugged them into rockauto and got the ray stuff.

My fellow wood burners!
Just bring you wife up to 11 mile this winter for a weekend of winter camping and icefish. After that anything.....and I do mean anything....will look like a 5 star hotel Gotta set that bar low to start. I can only put the bar so high and I don't plan on doing that until 20-30 anniversary.

godspeed CSM. http://www.mark74.com/ram_modifications.htm#crossover%20steering is what I used- Anybody ever melt the dust covers on shocks? Or, do I need to embrace stacks?
there is never an argument for stacks- 98-99 HD steering upgrade

I know DOR builds good stuff, but just too many, "my parts never showed up" kinda deals.- 98-99 HD steering upgrade
I wouldn't do Dodge Offroad, there are just too many stories of taking 5 months to get something. I would just get good quality replacement parts.- 98-99 HD steering upgrade
go hd. The wheels are connected to each other directly, vs through the "y" style link. 1 less joint holding the wheels together.- 98-99 HD steering upgrade
I wouldn't put Moog on my enemies truck....... last moog ( good quality ones supposedly) ball joints lasted 20k, with stock tires. I have had good luck with raybestos pro stuff.- And he said, Let there be Light!
yea I would be curious to see what they have setup.- And he said, Let there be Light!
I am not sure it depends on how the plow disables the oem lights. If it just cuts power to the bulb then it would work in the same manner. While I was doing the lights I figured it was time to fix my Fog lights, I have owned the truck for 4 years now I think and the fogs have always been bad., I figured out the week I got the truck that the OEM bulb plugs were bad,m I just never bothered to fix them. Fast forward to today and I took out the harness for the fogs and replaced the pins in the OEM plugs. Nice side note is the fog bulbs are 898, 896 etc style bulbs, but you can use the pins from a 9006/5 plug in the 896 socket.- Rough Start This Morning
If it is colder than 15*f I think it will kick in after the truck goes into 6 cyl. So maybe 3 minutes? - 98-99 HD steering upgrade
