  1. I like the idea, but the cost in time to scan and design would likely out weigh the $70.
  2. Talk to DAP for price they will treat you well. @dieselautopower I am sure you can get him setup. I would go the new body personally. I ran my setup, worst thing that happens is the arduino stops working and the turbo vanes go wide open when it doesn't get a command for ~1/4 second.
  3. I like the he351cw for general duties the ve was cool, but not for someone who doesn't want to tinker. 7 x .010's ar efine with a hx35 as long as your tune is in control.
  4. Don't use your phone get a 2nd device. Ios version sucks because Ios devices are so pricey, but it is never a good idea to use your phone for this reason.
  5. I have no idea, Why do you want to? does it display something the Iquad does not?
  6. Anyone else see this ? What lag? @dieselautopower thoughts ? From what I have seen Garrett has battery that is charged then discharged rapidly when the turbo needs help spooling up. The coolest part is gathering energy from the turbo when not on boost. It will use the turbine as a generator to pump power back into the charging system. https://www.garrettmotion.com/electric-hybrid/garrett-e-turbo/
  7. yes you can, just understand that your boost reading for the insight will not be correct beyond 16 psi.
  8. Also a big injector tune is suited to someone with 7 x .012s or bigger. 150 hp injectors are really a mid sized injector. That's why your tune is so lazy. If you look at the mid injector race tunes they would be much better suited to 150 hp injectors.
  9. Try adding %15 to the canbus across hte board.
  10. what tune are you running? With the quad you can make a tune that is more aggressive than anything else out there or make it so lazy that the truck wont drive. Post your tune. post a data log of a WOT take off.
  11. violent bucking is typically too little fuel for the load
  12. maybe dunno, the polling time is 1/4 second I think so you may or may not see the spikes.
  13. So how it works sub 1200 rpm if(RPMS > idle_limit && TPS > 2)// && RPM > 850) { idle_limit = 600; // RPM low limit fuel_trigger = 1; //Quad on of off? } else if(RPM > 1200 && MPH > 30) { fuel_trigger = 1; //Quad on of off? } else { idle_limit = 1000; // new RPM low limit fuel_trigger = 0; / Quadzilla On of off. } So I set the rpm limit at 1000 if you go idle state. Below 1000 the ecm is in charge, as soon as you increase tps above %2 and rpms increase above the limit of 1000 then the quad fueling messages are enabled. at that point the idle low limit is set to 600 rpm, so the quad will try and stay in control unless rpms drop below 600 or throttle is below %2 if those conditions are met then the ecm is back in control if rpms are greater than 1200 rpm and speed is greater than 30 mph hten the quad is in contorl. This is to get around the fact that tps = 0% on trucks with electric cruise control. So on top of it all the ecm has stuff in place to manage offidle fueling aka anti stall type stuff. The ecm will boost or drop fuel EXTREMELY rapidly if it senses that rpms are not doing what it expects them to do. It seems like this happens until ~1500 rpm. So if you are pulling a TON of fuel in your tune and you are sub 1500 rpm and you are at light throttle / low rpm you will see the ecm freak out a bit and send the quad spikes in fueling.
  14. Add more fuel is the only advice I can give without more info from you.
  15. it would, its the ecm and quad fighting for control in a 5 speed.
  16. most lift pumps are powered through a relay that is triggered using the stock power plug. This does not trigger a code and also makes sure the aftermarket pump acts like the stock program intended.
  17. That second kit also has no projectors. Dont put hids in a reflector housing without retrofittinng prohectors. 2nd gens use a 9004 bulb. For non sport. 3rd gen uses a 9007. Similar but not the same.
  18. HID's need projectors, period. If you want to confirm you can google " hids in reflector headlights"
  19. No. Hids need projectors.
  20. Go wot from take off. Mikes tune is made for 7 x.010's you are running a good bit less fuel than that. I am guessing your offidle fueling is causing your issues. Too little fuel will cause bucking low in the rpm band.
  21. Do you get smoke when you WOT from a stop? If no then add more fuel to your canbus curve until you get good haze.
  22. I prefer to keep it as it is a simple design on the m52 and m54 engines and works well to fatten up the torque band.
  23. I am starting to come to terms with the usablity of an android tablet for most that use web functions only. They are cheap and the quality is generally better than the PC's in the price range. add to it some sort of case with intergrated keyboard and you are good to go. Android is widely accepted and can run nearly anything most need to do with it. similar idea to a chromebook. I am a die hard Thinkpad fan, but the $$ of them is 2x the cost of the similar hp...for good reason.
