  1. The tunes for mild injectors are base maps. Add fuel according to your needs as the tune articles go through. The tuning article has a how to.

  3. I wouldn't bigger injectors give you way more ablity to tune how you want. Gotta remember VP trucks are limited in duration, so if you can't increase duration to get more fueling resolution your only other choice is bigger injectors and a lower fueling starting point. IE a stock truck duration is limited between %40 and %100 being cruise and WOT a 7 x .010 injector truck is limited between %20 and %100 being cruise and WOT the 7 x .010 truck has %20 more duration to use for tuning.
  4. the quad can be as aggressive or lazy as you want. There is no technical reason why a stock injector truck can't be tuned to have 150* hp over stock and not smoke like you have right now on high levels. the edge comp makes ~120hp over stock. the quad is rated at 180 hp over stock, but I generally like to say that all wiretap boxes do ~150hp over stock. Most guys that come from a comp to a quad feel like the truck is stronger though.

  6. aint broke dont fix it is my vote. Replace the HO with an HO if you are happy with what it was. If you want more than 500 hp then SO pump, if you want more than 650 hp then PPump

  11. the lift pump going on and off randomly makes me think you have a wiring issue or an ecm that is giving up the ghost.

  13. I would throw more fuel at it. It is my believe that 7 x .010's are the injector of choice for a vp44 truck that is DD'd However it would still be good with little injectors. I ran my he351ve with 7 x .012's It loved it...but I also had the quadzilla to tune with.

The ECM triggers the WTS light regardless to tell you the ECM is booting up, if it does not come on the ecm hasn't booted, so it shouldn't in theory run, less mike is right and you have a p0381 code, which is saying your WTS light is burnt out. Then you need to look at IAT and ECT sensors or grid heater relays.

  16. I dont think that had to do with timing just wrong place wrong time. Gotta remember that every edge turck on the road is maxing timing at 32* on WOT runs above 3k rpm. I would expect to see heads blowing off left and right if that was the case

  18. Canbus fueling above 3200 rpm. Most fuels will get full canbus fueling to 3500 then wiretap above that. Above 3200 rpm is going to be less smooth though because the ecm is trying very hard to pull fuel.
  19. Normally the failure of Ed's switches were the ground wire. We did not like his design so choose to not take over his design and created our own.
