  1. I use towels or cardboard to set on the radiator area. I have a big bumper and set down the entire process.
  2. Alxes used to be cheap, but I havent priced them in 6 or 7 years.

  4. Build yourself a boost leak tester and see where its going.

  6. If they are like mine I mess with them for a few days and they finally stop. Keep tightening and loosening them and they will eventually stop.

  8. i dont believe it to be related but this problem started right after I installed the vulcan big line kit. Absolutely no problems and then on the first run after the big line kit it started fluctuating.
  9. Loosen a couple injector lines and see if you get fuel to leak out, if so your pump is working.
  10. Turbo handles it well, I went all out at the pull last weekend with the comp on 5x5 and saw close to 1400 toward the end of the pull. With it on 2x5 I never broke 1200.

  12. I believe they are 125-150hp. I put another t-stat in it and it doesnt fluctuate as much but still jumps up to 197-199 or so. I am gonna put my other ultra-gauge in it and see if it says the same thing.
  13. Im using an ultra-gauge to see exact temps but both it and my dash gauge move accordingly.
  14. Glad I have never lived where rust was a problem, plus my truck is from AZ and the frame still looks new.
  15. I didnt know your fuel canister wasnt full. That sounds like your lift pump is not working or you have a heck of a leak.

  17. New temp sensor didnt help, actually seemed to move more. Im gonna replace the t-stat tomorrow and if that doesnt do anything I will start saving for a headgasket and studs. What all needs to be done to the head when I pull it off?
  18. I helped a buddy instal glowshifts and he really wishes he would have saved up and gotten isspro. That being said I think think he has had any problems with his glow shift but he also just put an isspro fuel pressure gauge in it too.
  19. I did buy a new radiator cap but it flucuates so put the old one back on. I let the 15psi cap go with the 03 I sold because I was fighting another issue then but turned out it was some wiring. Im off tomorrow and if we dont get flooded out im gonna get another t-stat and maybe fan clutch.
  20. I would change them all including the coolant and thermostat.

  22. You will like them, you saw the amount of smoke they make with my comp on 5x5. It was close to 1400 degrees by the end of the pull but im still on hx35.
  23. Had another pull today. When I was at the line building boost my tranny temp flashed to 220 and then back to 160 or so, wonder if thats in the wiring or the temp just hit a hot spot?   24. Ok, took the alternator fuse out and it acted the same way. Just cruising its 188-195 but wot from a stop to 55 and it gets up to 204 for a few seconds. Does that sound normal or could there be a small crack in the headgasket?
