  1. What about codes? I dont think mine set off the CEL everytime it acted up.
  2. I put grease on the crossmember and after I felt the hit there was grease on the draglink that hooks to the pitman arm. I think its a combo of a heavy bumper/winch and 250k on springs. It started sagging a little to the passenger side and its just to close to the crossmember. Im gonna swap my springs around and see if I get a lean to the driver side, if so I will just order a set of lift springs. If not im gonna have to dig deaper. I have measured 10 different ways and cant figure out why its leaning. Its only about 1/2" but its noticable.

  4. Arent the 12v shifters different too? I dont know if you can bolt up a 98+ shifter to a 12v case. I have heard the shift pattern is different also.
  5. There was a guy on CF a few weeks agao with a good block for $50 before he scrapped it, I doubt if he still has it though. There is a wrecking yard in Canton Texas called Meyer's and he usually has complete engine's I dont know how much shipping would be for one though. http://myersautosalvage.com/

One step forward, two steps back.....Pulled my water pump today to flush my engine out and when I put it back on it was leaking from the weep hole and squeeling something awefull, never a drip before but anyway, got a new one and its still squeeling so I guess im gonna change the tensioner pulley tomorrow. How does the unit come off and am I gonna need any special tools getting the pulley off?
  9. I like the nose down a little too but with my bumper and winch my springs have taken a beating. When I hit a good dip in the road my draglink is hitting the crossmember under the oil pan so I want to raise it just a little.
  10. His is a 3rd gen and your second gen probably ahsnt had the high idle enabled. You can get the dealer to load it or hook up a smarty. Mike has the TSB to take to your dealer somewhere around here.

  12. My 03 did the same thing. I think you can manually adjust it up and down with the cruise buttons on an 05 too.
  13. Been getting a puff of white smoke still so I dug into the truck today. Just easy stuff but checked the exhaust side of the turbo and it was dry so I checked the valves again. I only have about 300 miles since I set them last and all were perfect except #5, I set it to 10 and 20 and it was at 12 and 17. I dont know whats going on because I know it was dead on when I set them. I set it back to 10-20 and will check again in a few hundred miles.
