My 98 always has higher oil pressure than my 03 did.

That is your axle tube breather, shouldnt be getting oil up that high though.

I was having problems with my truck not getting to operating temp recently too and only getting about 13mpg. Since I fixed the problem you can see my last fillup in my sig.

Is there an area on the forum that we can sign into our state so we can get an idea where everyone is?

I have been standing in my passenger door while cranking in the morning and its definatly light colored grey or white but only in the morning when its cold.

I always let mine set overnight before I touch the valves but I think below 140 is exceptable.

Do you have a high idle box? I was having swings like you, start at 180 and then drop to 150, back to 170 and cruise at 155. I changed t-stat 3 times and still same fluctuating. I unplugged my high idle box from my water sensor and it straightened out. I left it unplugged for a month and it never missed a beat. I plugged it back in for a test and it was back to the fluctuating. I unplugged the water sensor again but left the iat sensor plugged so I could still use it in cold weather. I dont know why it does it but it does.

Thats what I thought as they are usually just a few degrees from each other.

I believ intake can be set from 6-15 and exhaust if 15-30.

Would the valves have anything to do with water temp? Since the adjustment I have noticed my temp gauge running warmer than usual. My quadzilla comander reads 188 but my ultra gauge and dash read high. MY UG is reading 200-217 and the oem gauge is fluctuating too.

My last tank was my first tank with the outerwear and it was my best tank in over a year. I also adjusted the valves mid tank too.

Its definatly the front end, I can feel it in the steering wheel.

Sway bar bushings hae been shot for years but track bar is new 3rd gen style, although it never happened with the old one. I thought it was the track bar too but the tie rod at the pitman arm is the only thing showing wear. Also, dont know if its connected but my truck sets 1/2 lower on the passengers side from front to back. I know it doesnt sound like much but its been driving me crazy.

Im getting a metal to metal hit when I hit a good dip in the road. They are doing constant roadwork here and where they scrape the road out a few inches my truck hits metal to metal where the road gets higher again. I have crawled under the truck and the only place I see shiny metal is on the frame crossmember under the oil panand I can feel nicks cut into the tie rod that connects to the pitman arm. I wonder if a 1" dropped pitman arm would fix this and why its just now happening?

I calculate my mileage every fillup but thats about it. My wife thinks im crazy for doing that and and she says "Who figures mileage every tank and why" so I usually fill her car up without her so I dont have to here her Blow and Go.
