  1. I dont think it weighs that much but I may be wrong. I just helped put a clutch in a 5 speed 4wd and it was hard enough getting the input shaft lined up with the clutch with a tranny jack, lift and 2 of us pushing/wiggling. Put your tranny in gear before you start to put it back in and God be with you.

  3. I believe the p-pump likes 30psi+. Oem style cam driven pumps are supposed to be good on the 12v's, what happened to it?
  4. I did mine where the manifold bends down and attatches to the turbo, in the back half to read 4,5,6 temps as they run hotter. You can kind of see it in my pic
  5. Im out of the country again and wont be back to the trucks untill september but I will look then.
  6. Not really sure, my buddy went there to get something for his D-max and said he had a 12v setting on the floor for sale. I will find out though.There is also a guy I found on craigslist there that has a hotshot business with plenty of parts trucks.
  7. I think you can turn it off with your keyless entry remote. When I first got my truck I remember the remote being able to do a bunch of fancy stuff but cant remember if this was one. Look in your owners manual.

  10. Here's the cooler on my 98 but its a little to big, see where the hood latch hits, its only a matter of time untill it starts leaking. I need to find a long narrower one.

  12. My truck came with a hughes but I cant find one for your year truck. Side not: Are you keeping the 2nd gen? I would love to have your di pricols if they are the black face optix line.
  13. The 04.5-newer cummins have the 3rd injection event and it turns the oil black immediately. You can get a engine flush made by amsoil if you want to try to get all the "black" out but I dont know if it will work.

  16. I put some of these on my 98 and it actually made a big difference in stopping. I have never actually seen a difference in brake pads before, just replace them when they start squeeling, but these actually stop better.   17. I was thinking the same thing. I have never changed the fluid as it is still nice and red from the recent rebuild.
  18. My 47re has recently started reving a little higher before shifting from 3 to 4. Its only reving up a couple hundred rpm higher but still something isnt right.
  19. Its 2$, you might as well try it. For less than a candy bar and a coke you may have something to put your coke in while you drive.

  21. I was looking at these yesterday, more hp/tq and better mileage than the new 5.0. I wonder what the price difference is in the 2?
  22. If your gonna stick with the stock filter housing, the best is a Baldwin pf7977, its 5 micron and the others are mostly 7. Cummins recommends a 3 micron but you have to go aftermarket to get down that low. I have been running the pf7977 for a few years without any trouble.
  23. It rained really hard lastnight and I guess my resistor got wet because my iat's were all over the place. My 3cyl high idle kicked in with a 2.2k ohm resistor. It got down to -40 degrees
  24. I usually do the same thing, just tighten it a little more:doh: now its broken:cry:. I would check the local junk yards for a new panel.
