  1. Im sure you have checked but I changed injectors one time and forgot to pull one of the tubes out and got an idle that sounded alot like that. I knew what it was because I knew I messed up when I did it.
  2. If your still looking for a comp, there is a guy on CF selling one for $250. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98-5-02-2nd-gen-all-products/311899-smarty-edge-comp-tdr-magazines.html
  3. He wont sell you a settup without the isolator? I got mine from Wally at FTE diesel, I think the gauge is around $40. --- Update to the previous post... I just checked his site and he didnt have them but give him a call. I know a while back they were on hold for some reason. If you cant get di pricol, look at isspro. --- Update to the previous post... Here is their site, they might be able to tell you where you can buy them. http://www.danininc.com/
  4. I was told it would not work because of different programming and its also a different part number. I am usually wrong though so check with edge.
  5. There are 2 different edges one for 01-02 and one for 98-00, so no it will not work on your truck.
  6. I got my di pricol optix mechanical 30psi fp gauge, column mount, banjo bolt and tubing kit for under $115 shipped to my door. I did not use an isolator but got a weather head needle valve from napa, part # WH6820 for about $15. I set it up like Mike and never had any leaks.
  7. Take a look here http://www.mark74.com/ram_modifications.htm#air%20induction and click cold air induction, these are not my pics but I would love to be able to make one like this.
  8. I wish it was but I wasw born poor and will most likely die poor too.
  9. I also had a set of the BFG at/ko and had them on 3 different vehicles. They arent very good off road at all but I used to take them rock crawling before I got my swampers. I put them through living HEdoubleL and they never tore a sidewall or got punctured anyway. I didnt like them because they held rockes bad and ate my shiny new rockers up on my new toyota.
  10. Correct, its the 15w40 semi-synthetic and the top one is Schaeffer 15w40 CJ-4 semi-synthetic. I have been looking for "that perfect oil", since I have nothing better to do until I get back home, and have come accross different brands that looked good. I have 15w40 HD diesel & marine amsoil in my 03 and plan to continue running it but my 98 has 226k and I have been using valvoline PB 15w40 CI-4 but its impossible to find in Texas and I want to try something new. I may just go ahead and get another membership with amsoil again and buy the semi-synthetic for the 98 because im gonna continue to run it in the 03 and I could save on shipping maybe ordering it both from them. --- Update to the previous post... I got me a preferred customer account with Amsoil, thanks Bill.
  11. If the tap comes off then your only on level 2 which is 60hp. If it doesnt fel any different then maybe it didnt make a good connection but there is a noticable difference in levels 2 & 5.
  12. My second vehicle was a 95 just as you described. It was gutless but a dang good truck. I actually took out a rear spring pack to make it set a little more level.
  13. This is to old to go by now days because its all the old CI-4 oils for the most part. TDR needs to do a new test with the CJ-4 stuff we have now.
  14. I dont know how to read the oil properties but I have 2 examples and wonder which is better. 15. Theres an A&W at the foster px now. When we first got here, we went to the aquarium up north and stopped at an A&W up there. We tried to order from the menu over the intercom but they didnt understand so they sent a girl out to take our order. While we where waiting a little local national boy went way out of his way to come look at us through the drivers side window of our car. A little later his sister did the same thing. They acted like they never saw white people before.
  16. Im working on getting back right now. We put in for Mtn Home AFB amongst a few others up in your neck of the woods so maybe we can share your scenery.
  17. I think if I just polished the lenses they would work 10x better. I was watching trucks and the guys polished one with tooth paste and it looked alot better.
  18. I've been without my truck for over 2 years. I joined the cummins forum a few months after I got here, having never been a forum rat before and now have over 4500 posts. So I do this:cry:
  19. This place is definatly the rock and were on kadena too. Im trying to escape like Clint Eastwood and get back home.
  20. The newer 24v trucks dont have the metal canister like ours, they have a plastic one like the common rails and you have to hook it upon the bottom.
  21. Im gonna see if dad can get on the horn and get some sent to his store. --- Update to the previous post... I called dad and he said he only had 1 part # for it so he didnt think he would be able to find it. I also called the oreilly in Tn that you got yours from and Ronnie said they were out. I guess im gonna have to step up to 2010 and buy the CJ-4.
  22. Let them guys with plenty of money have their fancy new trucks and BIG truck payments, im happy as I can be with mine.
