  1. I will call them tommorow and ask. They are kinda a shady business and have a list a mile long with the BBB so I dont know how trust worthy they are or if they are even open. Here are a yahoo search http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oG7kZPielMwxsBMfFXNyoA;_ylc=X1MDMjc2NjY3OQRfcgMyBGFvAzEEZnIDeWZwLXQtNzAxLTEtcwRob3N0cHZpZANGTFFVOUVvRzd2NjJoYVZxVEVKY0F3VTJSelJWWmt6cGlVOEFDdFFNBG5fZ3BzAzEwBG5fdnBzAzAEb3JpZ2luA3NycARxdWVyeQNwaG9lbml4IHJlbWFudWZhY3R1cmVkIHRyYW5zbWlzc2lvbnMEc2FvAzEEdnRlc3RpZANTTUUwMTg-?p=phoenix+remanufactured+transmissions&fr2=sb-top&fr=yfp-t-701-1-s
  2. I love the way a stick shift pulls but my 98 has the 47re. It was rebuilt just before I got it with supposedly heavy duty parts from a shop in Phoenix. I called the shop with my serial number and they said it was there heaviest duty tranny available. Now to my problem,I hate how this thing feels soft or mushy between lockup. Sometimes if I slow down almost to a stop but not quite, it will stay in second and just wind up really high without really gaining speed. Really anytime the convertor isnt locked it just feels like im not putting the power to the ground. Is this just the nature of the beast or will a good tripple disk TQ fix this? I drove my buddies 04 Dmax the other day with the 5speed allison and it didnt have this "squishy" feeling mine has. Mine also has a valvebody or shift kit in it because it will break your neck on shifts if your driving like a granny. I always wanted to swap to a nv5600 but if a proper built auto will have the power like a stick shift then I would rather have that.
  3. Long beds are 35 and short beds are 34. My fuel lights comes on and I can usually only get 26 maybe 27 gallons in. Im in the process of running it down right now to see how many it will hold. My lights been on for 30 miles ar so but I only have a little over 400 miles on the tank and at 17mpg with a 35 gallon tank I should get almost 600.
  4. The vgt's came out in 07.5 with the 6.7. Get one and delete the egr, and dpf and they are supposed to be great trucks.
  5. They will work. My buddy had the 2nd gen chrome wheels and put a set of my 3rd gen chrome clad wheels on and used his 2nd gen caps. If you are using 3rd gen chrome clad wheels on a 2nd gen truck the back caps dont fit all the way against the wheel like they should because of the hub sticking out so he thought they might come off. I ran them on my truck for about a week just pushed up as far as they would go and they fit tight and never came loose. The 3rd gen aluminum wheels and caps fit better and look alot better if you can get a set of them.
  6. Welcome to the forum CB.
  7. Yep, I would stick with your hx.
  8. I think you would be going backwards with the he341 from the 03-early 04 but the he351 in the 04.5-07 5.9 or the new vgt turbo on the 6.7 would be nice. I think the he341 is about the same as the hy35.
  9. Welcome Jesse, my wife is in the Air Force and we have Hill on our wish list. How do you like it there so far?
  10. You still need to borrow a set of injectors? I have a stock set I can send out tommorow and you should get them saturday. I ran these in my truck for a week about a week ago in hopes of getting better mileage than my biggens but they didnt even do a mile better. They all popped off a little low but were all about the same (3500 psi) and they ran fine. Let me know
  11. There arent any custom tunes like the adrenaline, just what quad has on there site.
  12. happy Birthday Winslow:thumbup2:
  13. You can change the tune but only with one of there tunes, no adjustments. Here is a list of the tunes, I liked the 2011. http://www.quadzillapower.com/products/index.cfm/p/XZT-Dodge-Trucks-USB-Updates
  14. I had the xzt+ beta box and it was great. It did surge at lockup on the comp tune but the 2000 tunes never did, + they have high idle.
  15. Your first post says you have a 99 but your sig says 01. Stock 01 will have a hy35 and a stock 99 will have an hx35. I cant see the pics
  16. Have you tried different tunes? When I had one, the comp tune would do it but the 2000 tunes wouldnt.
  17. Since you said you dont plan on selling it then dont worry about a slavage title, its just a piece of paper. I would find a new hood and be happy with the bonus from the insurance company.
  18. Well, last week I changes injectors to a stock size set I bought in hopes of gaining some mileage. They did not yield any better mileage so I put the old ones back in. When I removed them the first time the truck ran great, idled right at 800 and had balls. I pulled the injectors apart and noticed the pintle in #1 was really stuck in the nozzle. I wasnt sure if the pintles from stock injectors were the same size as bigger injectors so I measured them with a micrometor and they seemed the same so I swapped one out with the sticky one. The truck fired up pretty quickly but is idleing at 1100 rpm. What did I do wrong? --- Update to the previous post... Resset the apps and its idleing perfect.
  19. If its got a stock VB then a new matched VB and TC will be better.
  20. If you want one for a little cheaper price, I got an ultra-gauge and it works the same as the SG. I have had mine for about a month and also got the 0237 code when I accidently unhooked the comp and started the truck. It through a cel and 0237 but with the ultra gauge I was able to turn both off, after I figured out how to. http://www.ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/index.htm
  21. I would get the comp and see if you can get the convertor to slip. If it doesnt slip then run it for as long as you can, if it slips put a good torque convertor and vb in it and be done.
  22. Might also check the crossover tube o-rings. I just replaced my injectors and most of those o-rings were shot.
  23. Not to rub it in because my dashes are also cracked but I drove my grandpas 01.5 this week and his was the first one I have seen without a cracked dash. Then today I looked at a truck that was beat to crap, not a straight panel on it but the dash was perfect.
