So I'm going to be making a thing.
We always think the paint is going to hide more than it does. Looks real nice. L8tr D

3rd one looks real nice. You are getting addicted to that 3D stuff aren't you? Can't blame you & I'm glad I get paid to have fun with it. Nice work L8tr D

I bet that was and looks great. I'm going to check out Onshape this weekend. I've been looking for something to use at home. We use Rhino at work which is great and not too expensive. Only 900 bucks but if I can get something for nothing...HELL YEA L8tr D

Upgrading lights
I thought about that but decided that maybe fresh look up front might be nice. I definitely will not do led head or fog. I appreciate the input. I will use the flasher. Why use an energy efficient bulb and add a power hungry resistor. Will update when complete L8tr D

Upgrading lights
I am going to be ordeing new headlights soon and would aslo like to change the rest of my exterior lighting to LED's (excpet fogs). I just started researching the LED's and have a few questions I hope someone can answer. It appears you need to add a load resistor for the lights that blink. I aslo noticed that flasher relays are now made specifically for LED's. My question is is either one of the options viable for the blinkers, do you need both or just one or the other. Do the lights that are constant on need to have a load resistor added as well. Would the LED flasher relay work for towing? Thanks d

Coolant hoses original in 2001/ time for new?
85k on my stock hoses and they look good still. But who knows could go tomorrow or years from now. I think you should do what you think is best. You will sleep better knowing you made the right decision. L8tr D

Fiberglass Topper cracks
The glass and resin is the hardest to sand. We use 16 or 24 grit on that. Gelcoat isn't easy but better than glass We use a special filler that sands pretty easy. We also use a supercharged type of bondo that ain't too bad. Our favorite is lots of primer. Spray as much primer as you can even if it takes multiple sprays. It's the best for fairing. Good luck, have fun & I hope you feel better. L8tr D

Fiberglass Topper cracks
Looking real good. . Can't wait to see it back on the truck. Looks like you are in the down hill stretch to the finish. Want to come to Florida for a few weeks? We have a brand spankin new 32 foot hull mold that needs finishing. . You should try tooling out tooling gelcoat. It's like sanding ice. Hard as a rock. L8tr D

VP44 info needed
It would be interesting to see if one of the businesses that pop test injectors (if any) could actually weigh the amount of fuel that comes out of an injector. That would give a more accurate volume especially over time. That was just my first thought and I could be totally out in left field on that. L8tr D

Overheat job?
I wouldn't be surprised if there was some stuff down there. I look every time I open the hood with a good light & swear I can see the bottom of the coils all nice & clean. Of course I've been wrong before but just a couple times. L8tr D

Overheat job?
That looks pretty nasty. I can only imagine how the other side looked. I just cleaned my breather for the first time ever & the radiator is as clean as can be. L8tr D

AC blew up!
Being uneducated about AC I can not answer that question. I'm just speaking from experience. All the components I've changed over the years a new accumulator has been part of it. I guess it's like when u get new tires, you get new valve stems wether they're needed or not (very loose analogy). And the warranty. L8tr D

AC blew up!
Very good point @Mopar1973Man . I agree, when the system has been opened the accumulator should always be changed. Most auto parts stores won't give you a warranty on AC components unless you buy an accumulator with it. L8tr D

Yet another FASS ball & spring post
Just to update my pressure is still holding around 24/17 after a few weeks. I do have one question though. Does NAPA carry the copper banjo bolt washer or is this something I need to get from one of the online vendors? When I took the lift pump out I reused one of the OEM washers. It looks like they have a little ruber seal on the inside of it. I think that maybe it is leaking a little and randomly. Every once in a while it takes a few extra cranks to start and there are no visible leaks. I will probably replace the 2 on the lift pump and the 1 on the inlet side of the filter as they are the ones that came out when I adjusted the spring inisie the DDRP2 Thanks in advance d

Fan belts squeaks
It's becoming intermittent for me now too. Sometimes a little noise on start up and sometimes on shut down. I think I will deal with it until it really pisses me off. Could be a day could be a year. L8tr D
