  1. Ahhh, no. Mine have seat belts coming out of them.
  2. I know the feeling. My job in Maryland lasted 14.5 months. I went home 90% of the weekends at about 880 miles just to and from. So about a grand a week average. You wrack up the miles quick that way like you are doing. Now I am working in SC witn a 350 mile round trip. All this is why I bought new to me seats. Mine were gone.
  3. I am on $90 worth of Monroe s for3 years now. The ride is no harsher than stock and they still keep 5he wheels planted. My Ranchos barely lasted this long.
  4. There is not one those reflective triangles on the back of the truck.
  5. With that in mind, who gets back from the moon first??? Hmmm???? A little chicken humor ther for the screamin beaver!!!
  6. Thanks. On my truck I know the ecm is correct or at least what my odo reads. Dont know about hours. My truck idles a lot during the heat of the summer and cold of the winter when the truck is my office.
  7. So what I am getting from this is the cluster, ICU, is going to show its own mileage and not the actual mileage per your experience. That is what I am reading, correct? Makes me wonder how you could know what true mileage is when someone offers up a truck with low mileage. Hmmmm????
  8. I dont think that it would hurt anything to try. Maybe it would long term I just dont know. I do know with the codes you are seeing and it being the OE pump, I have to gree your pump is most likely toast. Mine and several other folks oe pumps never lasted thru warranty. Mine bit the dust at 75k. But I understand why you want to try it.
  9. Simple. You have chicken, you have an exhaust manifold. A little tie wire and your dinner we be ready in about 45 minutes. Of course you will have to stop once, untie and rotate the bird and re tie. I am sure you grasp the concept.
  10. The truck got me thru the first 225k and this site got me thru the next 250. I share your opinion. You are welcome.
  11. I have a cluster from an 01 I bought from a junkyard 9 years ago when my ECM died. It read the mileage of the donor truck and displayed that. I never drove the truck with it installed since it did not fix my problem and the truck was undriveable until I replaced the ECM. But never acted any different while it was in there. I beleive the ECM stores the true mileage. Not sure what it would have done had I left it in. Seems it ought to do something to let you know the mileage is wrong or I could throw it back in and now my truck has 133k instead of 456k.
  12. You might be able to get the install manual offmtheir website. I know can get install manuals from most products without buying the product. But if yours is old things might have changed.
  13. DAP and Vulcan both sell VPs. DAP gets some from industrial injection. I am sure you can ask them and they will tell. I dont think you can beat their prices. Who ever you get one from be sure it comes with a new computer. Used computers are still available. Do a little shopping.
  14. Never to diagnose more, been there and done that. Especially with a $1000 part. Of course I have poured some money down the drain before chasing problems.
  15. None of the work you describe is difficult to do. It is all bolt off bolt on and you can find good articles right here to explain it better. I am not mechanic either but have done quite a bit with help from here. Finding the time is my biggest issue.
  16. It is nicely done. The upper section is framed mostly from tubular steel. The roof frame is an old trampoline frame. From upper deck to the bed is all 2x6 and plywood. He told the whole thing only weighed 500 lbs. I sure would hate to get caught in crosswind going down the highway though. It is as tall as my 5th wheel.
  17. I have seen a lot home made campers thru the years, just nothing quite like this.
  18. Max AC and off should shut off the outside air. I am 95% sure that door is the one behind the glove box and there is an actuator on it with a vacuum control line. Just pull the glove box and it is right there. At least get a look at it. Did you loose the seals on the heater core and/or the ac evaporator? I would think you would hear wind noise is any setting with them gone. I never gave them a thought when I did mine, but I get no wind noise from there. I dont get any when I just have vents open.
  19. Gladly send what I have been seeing to the west coast. Cant believe how fast the fire moved. My heart goes out to all on both coasts that have suffered thru the fires out west and the unwanted water out our way.
  20. I resemble that remark you Oregon wood butcher you. sorry I could not help myself.
  21. Maybe just re direct it to what you want coated. I get some blow by out mine. Hopefully with the HG replacement with new guides and seals will calm that down some.
  22. A leaky rear main will keep the the underside oiled with no spraying involved, manually that is
  23. Thats how I did it. I pushed the old one out, removed one cap and then the u joint. Then just reversed the process to put the new one in. Nothing special other than them beiing stubborn coming out.
